 There's not an ounce of give when the blow comes in, though also not a single hint of reflected force - the entire physical impact just stops dead in Liyara's hand like it was choreographed.  The vertical slits in her chartreuse-green eyes become more pronounced, the color actually gets brighter, if that were at all possible, and even her hair gets redder.  The world around them grows darker by a perceptible amount, and when the woman grins, her teeth are sharp spears that interlock together in such a splendid fashion it would make a shark jealous.

 Superboy opens his mouth to respond to Liyara when Purple... turns to water? He looks back in concern and a hint of fear but no one reacts...? Maybe it's fine. "God, this place got weirder while I was gone." He shakes his head as he glances back to the.. uh... tree. "Much weirder." He picked up his coat, right? Slipping it back on he simply shakes his head again. "I think I need to be somewhere else. Someplace that doesn't feel like Mxyzptlk's summer home." He waves to the tree and heads out the door while rubbing his head. "I feel like this is a story Impulse wrote. I need to find that imp and strangle him."
