The doors to the inn swing open by themselves as the figure of Magus strides... no, floats... into it. The room grows instantly colder as he does so. His eyes seem to be burning a very deep hue of purple as he looks around at the surroundings. They are intense and focused... he seems to be looking for something. Or someone. Whatever the case, those that are gathered look the other way. The would rather not meet his gaze, lest they feel they will feel his wrath. "Where is Schala?" he asks simply in a calm voice, yet loud enough so that all can hear. The lamps and candles flicker with an unnatural breeze as he finishes... surely caused by him.

Luccia is sitting at a table with a glass of water and an open notebook. She galnces up at the disturbance, but says nothing

Marle wasn't inside of the inn right now. She'd been wandering around Truce for the last hours, still quite uncomfortable about the state of affairs. She'd been plopped into the future a short amount and was trying to get her bearings still. At least she'd found Crono! Currently, she was making her way to the Inn in a short stroll, but it would take a while for her to get there.

Of course, there's only one man who might be able to answer Magus's question, because he's the one that's been looking out for her for a good long while. He looks up, sees who it is...and figures the other man's worried, though he'd never admit to it or show it. "She's upstairs resting." Unlike most, Glenn doesn't seem to be particularly bothered by Magus's presence, figuring the man's demeanor to be more or less of a permanent thing. Equally interersting from Glenn's point of view is the arrival of El Nido's top scientist, Luccia. He hasn't the faintest clue why the scientist would've come over unless...maybe she's looking for Lucca? It's possible, after all.

Outside of the inn, two cacophonies emerge into one. First is the crowd that gathers around the edges of town when Marle enters. They're talking amongst themselves. Something about the Queen. The populace doesn't seem very well informed, and most of them smile at Marle, though a few give her a quizzical stare. On the opposite end of Truce, another chorus rises up as Glenn, the current First Knight of Guardia, makes his way back into town. He's been missing for a few days, which doesn't speak well for whatever kept him halted. His vest is completely torn up. He makes his way towards the inn purposefully, but stops suddenly upon seeing Marle. "... Queen Nadia?" His head tilts to the side, looking very confused.

The purple eyes of Magus begin to burn brightly as they focus on the younger Glenn. "She is with you?" he asks, his voice stern and inquisitive. The form of the mage floats closer to the knight as he asks. "I told her to stay at our safe-haven... tell me. Why is she with you?" he asks. The mage's ears perk up a bit as he hears the older Glenn mention something about Nadia, but for the moment he disregards the comment. Probably just mistaken identity, after all...

Luccia looks back down to her notes, idly writing something, the goings on here do not concern her one bit.

Glenn is still as mellow as ever about it. "She chose to be. She is safe enough here, I have seen to that myself." It's not like Glenn went to the cathedral and took her away. No, she journeyed over here on her own, and then he's taken up caring for her again as he did during her memory loss. Now, he has overheard people mentioning both the Queen and his name double, that other heroic knight of old. He always had wanted to talk with the other Knight, as they seemed to have a great deal in common besides a mere name. But it can wait.

Marle offered a cheery smile to the villagers that had gathered! She was in a very good mood at the moment, if a little on the confused side over the current status of the flow of time, which seemed to be 'all screwed up' acording to Crono. Reacting to Glen's voice, she quickly spun about, replying with a quick, "Yes? OH Glen! It's good to see you!" Now if only she could figure out what to ask without causing a stir....

Glenn of Guardia looks around quickly, and reaches out to gently urge/push Marle towards the Inn. "... We have important matters to discuss... somewhere else." The few soldiers that were loitering about suddenly all wander away, obviously not going to risk bothering Glenn or the Queen for a tidbit of gossip. The other villagers just drift off when they hear this, off to do their own things again. He walks up to the Inn doors, preferably with Marle in tow, and blinks, surprised. ".... Hmm." He stops, just outside, not entirely certain what to do, but shrugs. The worst that could happen... has already happened once. He pushes the doors open... and that's that.

When Glenn opens the door, he will see the form of Magus floating in front of El Nido's Glenn ominously... and probably a bit too close for comfort. "... The two of you. Are you seeing her?" Straight to the point is the question of the mage. "If so... then I wish to see her. N--" That line of thought is stopped immediately as he turns his head towards the door. Guardia's Glenn and... Marle? Surely not. But it is. He falls back to his feet as all of his focus is now on the two compatriots he once traveled with. "... Marle?" he asks, his eyes no longer glowing purple. They are his normal blueish-black color. His demeanor is much softer all of the sudden...

Luccia sips at her water, merely listening as she goes about whatever it is she was doing.

Glenn manages to hold up against that ill tide of feeling well enough, but...he shakes his head. "As I said, she's resting. She'll be down soon enough. And...it seems you have other matters to attend. Your sister can wait till you've dealt with them." At this point, he actually sees the other Knight enter the room. He gives the other Knight a wave...then again, considering how many soldiers the other Knight has, he can't help but wonder if he is remembered. The Queen, however, he's never met before. Despite the fact Queen Nadia is a foreign ruler, from his point of view, he's in her country, and bows respectfully all the same.

Marle quickly nodded to Glen, not arguing at all as she was guided towards the inn. "What about, Glen?" She knew something was up! Marle mostly was just looking straight ahead until she wandered into the inn after Glen, and she QUICKLY noticed Magus, taking a step back in surprise and tensing up.. only relaxing slightly as she noticed the look in his eyes. "Magus! Wh-what are you doing here?!"

Glenn of Guardia stares at Magus. His reaction was as he expected. He glances at Marle next, her reaction was ... as he had a suspicion it might be. He hadn't seen her in her more traditional form of dress in a long time. "..." He reaches over to pull Marle all the way inside the Inn, his normal knightly etiquette gone. He turns looks into Magus' eyes, and gives a shake of his head. It's not exactly a sad look he wears, but it's at the very least sympathetic. "...I am sorry for your loss." Huh? What's he talking about?

Naturally, seeing the reactions of both Marle and Guardia's Glenn cause Magus to raise a brow. Perhaps something is not right here. "... It is good to see you again, my love," he says as he walks towards the queen. He quickly reaches out for her hand in an attempt to bring it to his lips. "Where have you been? I have been searching all over for you." True enough, at that. His meditation of the black wind never yielded any answers to him on her whereabouts. Or those of Schala, for that matter. At least, not until now. Still, something seemed strange. Especially with the comment that the knight made. Carefully, he looks over to eye his former adversary.

It was the darkest corner of the Inn he was sitting in, though that did not necessarily mean much in this well-lit room. A shadow finds itself cast upon the walls, trembling as the candle before Ranmaru's table flickers. Two oddcolored eyes stare at the candle, though it would be better to describe them as slits of light, almost feline eyes. His cloak is wrapped completely about him and his hood is set over the rest of his head. Perhaps its odd, how someone can be dressed in such warm clothes in an already so well heated area. The inn had remained a quiet place for the longest time, the man observing from his little corner for the longest time. It is with only a half ear that he notices the people talking, and it takes some time for him to finally respond properly to the surroundings. It is a crooked sound that eminates from the chair he had been sitting on all this time, squeeking loudly as the man moves it away from him and stands up, carefully walking past the small crowd that had begun to form and takes a path close to the bar, soon settling on a barstool and setting his eyes on the pianoplayer. "Play something dark." He says softly, placing a coin on his thumb before popping it up into the air at the lady.

Only a second or so had passed in that awkwards moment when Magus had spoken to Marle. The Queen of Guardia's eyes widened, practically exploding from their sockets and she flinched back very quickly, almost all the way back to the door way. "WHAT THE HECK?!" She all but roared. This was crazy! But though she'd tensed all the way up into almost 'fight or flight,' she made no moves to do anything except stare forwards, before quickly shaking her head. "What are you TALKING about?! I'm not your love!!" Oh yeah, she was freaking. So much her gaze was settled straight on the blue-haired sorcerer... until she quickly glanced towards Glen. "Glen, what's going on?!"

Oh dear lord. Glenn'd heard from Kid something about the...potential adultery...but to see it in action before the entire inn...if royalty did have to do things like cheat on their spouses, couldn't they at least be discreet about it? Since Schala is a princess, that means Magus is by logic a prince in his own right. As such, he supposes he might've considered himself fit suitor for a Queen. But...the queen was MARRIED. And...well...that is not proper conduct...not proper conduct at all. Especially in front of a good deal of the populace. The people might riot over this, or god knows what. He looks in the direction of upstairs, wondering if there's going to be an explosion...either from the principles, or from the populace...and if he needs to evacuate a certain sleeping princess immediately. But then Marle reacts to it...and...whew. Looks like the adultery rumors were false after all. Which is good for the kingdom. But that means the archwizard is suddenly a mage scorned...and that's at least as dangerous as the people rioting. Though he might have some hope the wizard would control his magic enough to not hurt the lady sleeping upstairs, everyone else was in for it. Still, Glenn looks considerably more nervous now then he did when he was getting the third degree earlier, and wonders if his swords will be needed. There are a lot of innocent people around, and not all of them can defend themselves.

At the next set of reactions, the former frog lowers his head very slightly, exhaling. "Mine apologies to both of you. Queen Nadia, please calm yourself." He looks towards Magus next, staring at his former nemesis. "...You, however, should understand quite well what is happening." He glances towards the others present. The other Glenn. The citizens. A purple haired woman, and ... a cloaked.. man, he assumes. They are not his concern, but he hopes to keep them safe. The knight's gaze returns to Magus once more. "First Sir Crono... and now..." He makes a sweeping gesture towards Marle, as if it explains everything. "... Your reaction shall determine how this day plays out."

Suddenly, a mechanical whir is heard outside the door. After a few seconds, the door slowly swings open...and hanging from the doorknob is what looks like a robotic toddler version of everyone's favorite fox. It drops down to the floor with a midvolume clank and turns around to see who's here and what's going on. The moment it spots Magus, though... "...Oh no. Nonono." That's adult Nate's voice...he must be transmitting from somewhere. The little robotoddler dashes behind Glen's leg and hides.

"Enough." Crono steps into the inn, and stares directly at former Frog. He continues into the inn, until he is side by side with Marle. His gaze then shifts to Magus, and it isn't a pleasent one. "That is more then enough. No one will be casting any suspiscion anywhere. And no one will be trying to take something that isn't theres."

At the reaction of Marle to his motions, the dark mage reels backwards a bit, nearly falling flat onto his back. Still, after reaching hishand up to clear his throat, he takes a deep breath and regains his composure. His eyes turn towards those of Guardia's Glenn. The man's comment rang true, to which he simply hangs his head. "I see. She is gone, then," he says quietly, the strength of his voice gone. He knows all too well now what has happened. "That explains that I have not sensed her any longer." When Crono appears, Magus simply nods his head. "You will find no conflict from me. I know what is mine," he says simply as he turns his way back towards the bar... towards the Glenn of El Nido.

Glenn watches the next man who enters the room. As before, he nods respectfully at this, the other ruler of the Kingdom he's currently in. Adding, "Your Majesty" this time instead of remaining silent. Fortunately, things aren't as bad as he feared they would be. Well...except on a personal level, because he apparently has the mage's undivided attention again. However, Schala's still asleep, and there isn't much he can do about that. Well, nothing to be done about it. But at least he's considerably more relaxed then he was when he thought the inn likely to be destroyed in some magical attack or other.

The small robot--rather, the man behind the controls--has no idea what's going on at the moment...all he knows is that he didn't design his robot with combat in mind, so he makes sure to keep a safe distance away from the dark mage. He looks back as King Crono enters the inn. "...Is that...?" The robot promptly falls over. "Oops...wrong button..." It gets back up and bows.

The Queen was CLOSE to freaking out even more so! But she quickly gathered her wits... mere moments before Crono stepped in, and she relaxed. It was better not to cause a scene in the middle of the inn! As long as Magus wasn't causing trouble at the moment, better not to make things worse. "Wh, what the heck is going on?!" She blurted out again in repetition, though nowhere near as loudly as before. She peered from Crono to Glen, before she finally took notice of the mini-Nate... this was REALLY confusing. She quickly dissolved into a fit of furious, baffled blinking in Magus's general direction before she hopped over to Crono's side, much more comfortable nearby him than with the other wackiness going on. "HOLD ON A MINUTE!!"

Glenn of Guardia turns to glance at Crono and nods slowly. "... King Crono, please..." He's not going to bother trying to explain it all to Marle, in fact, it probably would just make things worse. Besides, he had a reason for coming to Truce, and while they were important to him, Crono and Marle were not a part of that plan. Truthfully, neither was Magus, but... when opportunity arises... The knight walks towards Magus without another word, intending to let Crono and Marle sort things out themselves, while he waits for a chance to speak with Magus. Now is as good a time as any. "I am sorry, Queen Nadia. Please do not worry any further." He speaks without turning to face her. Indeed, he would rather not.

"I don't want this discussed any further." Crono takes Marle's hand for a moment, before releasing it and staring at the knight captain. "Everything is okay now." He starts to move towards the doors of the inn. "I'm heading home for now. My head really hurts for some reason."

Magus looks from Glenn to Glenn... the one from the archipelago first, before turning to the knight he knows far too well. He sighs solemnly as he does so. "... I have something to attend to, Glenn. What is it?" he asks, his eyes locking back onto the younger Glenn again.

Glenn of Guardia draws close and speaks quietly to Magus, a slightly lengthy, if cryptic, string of statements that probably make little sense to anyone but he and Magus anyways. Still, it's best to be quiet when discussing some things. For everyone's sake. Frog mumbles, "... along with myself, are ... ... last... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I ... not ... ... something ... ... ... ... Be ..." to Magus. And with that, Glenn of Guardia turns and walks out of the Inn, leaving no room for questions. Normally one might stop him, but he has a look and feeling about him that should express things quite clearly. He is to be left alone.

The moment Crono's hand took Marle's the Queen gave his hand a tight squeeze only to reluctantly let g. For once, Marle was quieter than normal. Whatever was going on, she trusted Crono and Glen's judgment! Giving a last glance towards the insides of the inn, Marle quickly turned around and followed Crono, and would attempt to grab his hand with her own while she walked out. She had to get her head cleared...

Magus stares for a moment into the wall as the elder Glenn speaks to him... and when it is over, he is left with more questions than he had before. Before he has the opportunity to ask these questions, Glenn is gone... which only causes him to get up and head for the exit himself. "Glenn," he states to Nido Glenn, "We will speak of Schala later. I have something to attend to... take her back to the cathedral immediately. If she is not ther when I get back, you will answer to me." Seconds later, the mage is floating out the door again, his eyes burning purple once more.

"Actually Janus.. he is to come with me.." Melchior stands in the entrance of the inn, staring directly at Glenn. "Or are you going to try and deny an old man a simple request?"

Chibi Nate looks left and right as people flow out of the inn as if it were the top of a snowy mountain during an avalanche. The little foxlike robot droops its little ears and climbs into a barstool. Upon hearing Melchoir's voice, it turns around in its seat. "...Oh boy, new people!"

"..." Chibi Nate sighs in resignation, hopping out of his seat, the toddler-sized anthro fox-robot walking walking out of Inn past Melchior. "...I guess I'll just go back to the farmhouse..."
