The Healing of Glenn... Sort of.

As luck...or, perhaps, from a certain other gentleman's point of view...if he can be referred to as such...the OTHER Glenn shows up. As if one Glenn in shining armor wasn't enough, now there's two. Soon, there'll be more, and more, and they will become legion. Or maybe not. At any rate, this Glenn wasn't heading to the cathedral to look for the wounded Glenn, he came here to look for...yep, Schala. But upon seeing the Knight injured...well, he heard from her Majesty he'd taken wounds, but...well, hearing and seeing are two different things. And for all his powers, Magus doesn't seem to be much of a healer. Though perhaps Schala's doing something about that. Guardia's first knight is having a fitful slumber. While ordinarily he sleeps soundly, his mind cannot rest at ease with what he experienced. Even though he has not regained consciousness, his subconscious has been in great turmoil... Beyond that... well.. he sleeps.
As such, when Glenn appears through the door, the mage immediately swoops up from the bench and floats down to where the young knight had appeared. His eyes are cold and bloodshot. They are not glowing either. If they were, they would be the same color as the flames. Still, he does not say anything for a good moment, instead carefully looking the knight from El Nido straight in the eyes. Cold, imposing... these are the vibes Magus gives off as he looks upon him.
We're sorry, but your princess is another castle. Darn princesses. Always ending up in other castles. Oh well, it's what comes of being a Knight, one supposes. Well, her brother's acting about as friendly as he looks...which tends to be not very friendly at all. Dismissing the mage's apparently eternally grumpy attitude as something he's never going to see a change in no matter what he says or does, he decides to do what he's told. State his business. As for leaving...probably not, since he's looking for a certain young lady. "I'm looking for Schala. Is she here?" What a stupid question... at lesat in the mind of Magus. His eyes narrow as he tightens his hands into fists... but he does not use them. "Use your eyes, boy. Does it look like she is here?" The truth is, she probably is. Probably in the bowels of the cathedral somewhere resting. She has pledged she'll be staying with Magus from now on, after all. Even if she was around... Glenn is someone he does not want around to see her at the moment. "I know full well what is going on between the two of you. I do not approve. Tell me," Magus begins as he starts to hover around Glenn. Menacingly, really. Glenn would be able to feel the energy eminating from the mage's body as he circles him like a predator to prey. "In what way can you protect her? Surely, she has more power than you ever will, why would she even need it?" he asks, eyes still narrowed. The mage's eyes look up to the other Glenn every now and then to check on him, but it continues to be the same. Still, he can feel what torments the knight in his mind. The black wind has shown him that the protector is plagued by unholy thoughts... who would not be, after what he went through?
"My eyes don't show her presence, no, but that means little when people around here have so much magic to use. My eyes could easily be deceiving me." His eyes follow the other mage...but considering this is her brother and he's PROBABLY not going to be attacked out of hand, he feels it's mostly alright for him to maintain a relaxed demeanor. Demanor only...being circled in such a way tends to make one defensive, even if one intelluctially knows it's probably just for effect.
"Abilities or not, one should never rely on a weapon to be their source of power. What would you do without those swords?" Magus asks. To prove his point, his fingers snap. The swords immediately leap up from their sheathes and float towards the outstreched hands of the mage. He grabs them both by their hilts and twirls them. He can feel that there is great power eminating from them both... something totally different form what he feels in the presence of the Masamune. Which, of course, he has been feeling a lot the past couple of days since he has been the elder Glenn's caretaker. Still, before giving them back, he raises them into the air and lets them float, just out of the reach of Glenn and his leaping.
But it turns out the swords are more then they appear to be. Like other sentient weapons, the great Einlanzers have the right to choose their own wielder. He doesn't have to physically reach out for the swords...they just jump back into his hand on their own. "...The swords have the right to choose their own wielder. Few weapons are like that, but they are among that number. Still, I've used other weapons before these..." Glenn says, "...I have skills of my own...things that I've learned that don't depend on the Blades. ...But my power...such as it is...isn't internal. I...was never given that gift." Nor was anyone from El Nido, for that matter. He may not be the man his father or even his brother was, at least in his own opinion or even that of others...but the spirits of both are among those that reside in the swords...for one was found at his father's grave, the other at his brother's grave. "...But the power of heart...and will...cannot be demonstrated on a whim. You never know what you're capable of until you've been tested when it matters. When it matters..." He goes silent for a bit...as if making a promise to himself, or perhaps someone else not around at the moment..."I will not fail."
The mage, at the moment, seems to have not noticed what the younger Glenn said since he is currently attending to the elder Glenn. At the words of the knight, Magus's lips /very/ slightly curl up into something of a smirk. "If this were the afterlife, you would be a frog, and the cook from Guardia castle would be severing your legs so that he could cook them for dinner." ... What? Magus made a joke? Who knew he was capable of humor? Still, try as he might, his healing energies are just not as strong as what Schala or even Marle are capable of. He feels he is not helping the knight as much as either of them, but that does not stop him from trying. "You have been out for two days. The 'would-be-queen' (as he calls Queen Zeal) seems to have taken to you rather harshly. What did you say to her?" he asks. He pulls his hands back now so that he can give the knight... who strangely seemed to be transitioning to a friend, at least in Magus's mind, some space. The doors to the cathedral creak open again to reveal none other than... Queen Nadia? Well in the present circumstances 'Marle' was much more preferable... her eyes swept from one corner of the rom to the next, and she tensed slightly. She was right! For once a hunch had paid off. But she didn't announce herself... She was too SPOOKED! What with everything going on, she was two seconds from either finding a spot to hang out and hide, or charge in like Leeroy Jenkins...and she was favoring theformer over the latter. The former frog laughs at Magus' poor joke, but ends up coughing for a moment. It subsides, and he nods his head. "...You should get some rest... you look quite haggard." Coming from a guy who almost died, that's rather amusing. "... I believe I will be alright now..." Or so he says. With that, Glenn of Guardia falls asleep sitting up. An impressive feat. But it's not so fitful a sleep as before. It should be safe to move him now, if he can sleep peacefully in that position. Or at least not spend every waking moment tending to him. Glenn notes he's effectively irrelevant to the situation as of now. So...having considered that his lousy element probably wouldn't do the other Glenn much good...but wanting to do what he can anyway, he goes ahead and unleashes the healplus element he has. Not a bad power, as ELEMENTS go, but a poor orphan to even the weakest of magical healing. Still, he does what he can, having a certain respect for other Knights who has that sort of honor. Still...it seems his main objective just doesn't seem to be around. In his personal reflections, however, it seems to have escaped him her majesty has entered. The Mage gently pushes the elder Glenn back down onto the table he was resting on. He will probably rest better that way than if he were sitting up. As soon as that is done, he turns his eyes back towards the door and the new inhabitants. The young Glenn and Marle, whom he can sense even if she is hiding. Sadly for both of them, he wishes for no more interruptions... though the help of Marle would be appreciated. For the moment, Magus voices how he feels. "I need the two of you to leave for now... however. Marle, when Glenn, the Glenn you know, wakes up once again, I will be summoning for you. He is badly injured... and my magic does not seem to be enough to heal him properly. I will need your assistance. As for you, boy," he says coldly, pointing to the young El Nido knight. "Leave now. If Schala appears, I will tell her that you came by." ... It's a start, at least. Karsh steps through the door, head hung solemnly. In his right hand, a bloody axe hangs limply and his resplendent clothes are stained in places with a brilliant crimson. "And what about me, o callous one?" he all but growls at Magus, "Are you going to order me around too?" Her majesty the Queen? Super mages don't apparently respect royalty that much. As usual, he shows proper respect to her majesty, with, "...Your majesty, you did not announce yourself." Typical Knightly bow there. Because that's what honorable knights do. He nods at Magus...figuring given Magus's general attitude, telling her he stopped by is about all he can reasonably expect to be done. "I will hold you to that." As if he can, somehow. Of course, if he can, it's not anything he's doing, it's probably something more along the lines of Schala having somehow persuaded him to not Dark Matter her suitor 19 times in the face. Still, he departs...waiting to see if he should escort her majesty before departing. "Will you require escort, your majesty?" Never mind she got here by herself. That never matters to Knights. Okay, Marle had been trying to hide for the sole factor that she didn't know WHAT Magus was up to after the way he'd acted in the inn... and nobody'd cared to share with her the details of the way the world currently was. She practically leapt out of her hiding spot the moment her name was called, and quickly hopped over the pew to take a place in one of the aisles. WOW was she ever startled! "W-WHOAH! I didn't think you knew I was there! Is he really hurt that badly? I didn't get a chance to check on him before you took him away from the fight!" Marle announced, then straightened herself out, brushing her outfit off. She was a bit confused... there was a lot to accustom herself to in this timeshifted situation. But she'd figure it out eventually! She blinked a few times... well, she'd give Magus the benefit of the doubt until she knew what was going on. "You'd better take good care of him! I'll be waiting!" She turned towards Glenn and nodded. "Please! I'd greatly appreciate that!" Then Karsh... oh geeze, Karsh. MArle had just calmed herself down and Karsh busts in! "What the--" Things were bad enough with a hurt Glenn/Frog than to add a fight happening here too! "I knew the moment you walked in. You think I can not sense my own surroundings?" Magus once again points towards the door. "Please. I will inform you when the time comes." The doors open once again to reveal the night sky outside. "And as for you," he says, pointing towards Karsh with his bloody axe. "I do not even know you. Though it looks like you have been busy... however, I have killed for less based on the words you said to me. You do not stand a chance... so it is best if you just move on. Now." He turns his back to all of them to watch over the elder Glenn again. He cares nothing anymore about what is going on with the others.
