The Twisted Street

The Twisted street stretches on and on in two opposite directions, though in a straight line it does not stay. Forever is the street a black and white color, and even your own body and clothing begin to lose their flare and become a dull grey if you stay outside for too long. The sky above this part of the street is dark and grey, and rarely does the sun shine through. Newspapers from various times and places roll across the street, which isn't properly maintained and has multiple cracks in its forever running surface. Never does the wind stop blowing softly here. Pieces of buildings warp in and out of existence at times, all except one. A lone restaurant sits amidst the madness, alone and untouched by the darkness, a beam of light from the grey clouds occasionaly touches its surface.

From here do all the worlds, times, and lives of Twisted connect, on a never ending road that has no beginning or end. A simple five minute walk could bring you to another world, another place, another time. One can also get lost if they stray to far from the road, though rumors of Street wanderers spread eternally; those who have learned to stroll through the maddening insanity beyond the road. Wander where you will, but stick to the path lest you never return to it.

Kenpachi Zaraki's been laying in the remains of a street for 3 days now. The blood that was surrounding him has turned dark and brittle with age. The giant fo a .. man lays rather motionless except for the shallow breaths between heart beats.

Devi walks along Twisted, well, her feet are walking above the street, but whatever, and Devi is whistling a merry tune. Things look like their going her way. Spotting Kenpachi on the ground, she recognizes him from the time she fought with Lucia and moves over to squat beside him. "Heya Cowboy? You ok?"

Kenpachi Zaraki's seemingly sporting new scars from that battle but he was no where near this bad before hand. The sword clutched in his hand is cracked down the middle. With a grunt his eye opens a little and it tries to focus on a form leaning over him. Laying on his stomach as he is, it makes it a little more difficult to do so. "Ok?" he questions as if that is all he can manage but you could also say he has a grin that just wont quit.

Devi grins back at him. She also recongnizes the powerhouse that he is and he might be helpful in destroying part of TASK. Namly Satryn. "Yeah, ok, like still able to fight? Maybe after a little rest and a little saki? You're not dead are you? Because that would mean I have to change my plans."

Kenpachi Zaraki's grunt as he struggles to move his arm is an indication that he is still, able, but seems weak past the point of just being awake. "Death, will not come for me." is a simple but profound statement from his lips which are also caked in flaked red. His reitsu burns at a low rumble as his mind wakes up a little more. "rest, yes..."

Devi says, "Do you need a place to rest, that's not the middle of the street? Because I have an offer for you that I think you'll like." Her simple grin twists into something much more evil. Hopefully he is totally right, and death won't come for him. That would suit things just fine.

Kenpachi Zaraki says, "I need nothing" in a flat statement as if she just insulted him. But as if in an after thoguht, "But I might recover faster," he pauses to catch his painful breath that still doesnt remove his grin, "If I had balm and a bed." he has recovered in the streets after battle before. But he isnt above using tools like squad 4 and their healers. A warrior uses every tool at hand. "I still need to fight Satyrn again."

Devi says, "That's exactly what I want you to do. Strike an agreement with me, and I'll get you that bed, at the very least. I'm not bribeing you with anything, you don't look like a guy who needs anything but what you already have. I'll find you some very good fights, aside from Satryn of course."

Kenpachi Zaraki says, "I get a bed. And I fight Satyrn." this is a good deal in his eyes. What could this little slip of a woman want in return? He is handsome and has beeded his share of damsels. He suspects this might be another time and conquest. What ever. If he had the power to shrug he would do so but he cant so he says "sounds good to me." as if that was his agreement.

Devi smiles. "Oh good. Now, lets see what we can do for you here. Give me your hand and we shall be on our way."

Kenpachi Zaraki's hand that doesnt bare the wieght of the sword flexes and grips air. He tries to move the arm but after burning so much of his power days ago it is making breathing hard enough. Plus no food and blood loss. but. He is a mighty warrior and slowly his body responds and he is twisting his arm around to extand a trembling hand "you seem frail. How will you lift me?"

Devi says, "I won't." She grasps his hand, making sure to not squeese hard. Within a blink of an eye, they are trans-ported.

Room 2D - Living Room

A plain room with 1 comfortable bed, the covers turned down, with a wash sink and a small fridge.

A plain room it is, and Kenpachi is suddenly on the bed. Devi lets his hand go and turns to the wash sink, grabbing a small washcloth and getting it wet. Moving back over to Kenpachi, she wipes the blood and dirt off his face, discarding the rag. Suddenly a shallow water cup appers in her hand and she fills it with cool water. Sitting beside Kenpachi, she lifts his head, and carefully tilts the cup so he make drink.

Kenpachi Zaraki's head is tilted up and the cool rush of water to his grinning lips makes him drink. He is being nursed a little to much and when the water stops he says "All I need now is this bed. I shall dress my wounds after I rest. Thank you for the water."

Devi nods. "Once you've healed and are prepared to fight again, let me know, and I'll tell you the specifics of our agreement." She bows, formal Japenese style and vanishes as she rises again to full height. This goes very well.
