The Usual Restaurant(#1836R)

You walk into a very large restaurant with high ceilings that leave the rafters exposed. Fluroescent lamps hang from the ceiling, adding light to the place and tables. Windows adorn the sides of the place, looking out onto the chaos that is Twisted. On some of the walls are paintings, photographs, and some holograms of different B-movies, and a number of people who tend to visit the UR as they're singing karaoke. The hardwood bar rests at the back of the place, it's surface polished and shiny and all together spotless (most of the time). Behind the bar are various beverages that are servered and a giant mirror. There seems to be an inordant amount of different drinks. A large stage rests in one of the corners of the restaurant, with an amazing sound system and a few microphones strung about it. Multiple round wood tables are in the room, and a swing door leads into the kitchen. Another door leads to the dance club, and another to the gym. And of course, there's and exit outside. A large fireplace rests in one of the walls, with a beautiful stone chimney that flows up and out. A long spiral staircase rests near the entrance to the kitchen, leading to a second floor balcony that overlooks the UR itself. The lights up there are a bit dimmer than those down below.

Devi is sitting in one of the back secluded booths, usually resereved for people who like a bit of privacy as they eat. In front of her is a rough map of Twisted, a note book with idea's and theroys scribbled in them. 2 bottles of Sake sit in front of her, one unopened and the other half full. A cup of saki sits in front of her. A pencil is stuck behind her ear, and she's muttering under her breath to herself.

A voice speaks from nowhere, although she would easily recognize it. "Mind if i join you?". Suprising. He usually doesnt bother asking.

Devi peers up at the ceiling then back down to her papers. "Sure. Come on down." She tosses back her drink, and summons another saki cup for Blivy. She pours them both another cup, and ruffles through her papers. "What's on your mind?"

Oblivion materializes in the seat opposite Devi, looking deep in thought? "Im curious to hear your take on the events of late. One in particular. Senior Diablo is not one to act without serious cause, and hes far more knowledgable than anyone else". He gives her a serious look for a change.

Devi doesn't look up. "I pushed him to it. His plans are really the only thing he holds dear, and I threathen the peace and balence of all that. Thus his show of power. He could have saved us all the trouble by telling me what I wanted to know. I wouldn't have challenged to go back into Hell. I am his wild card in the whole mess."

Oblivion nods "Which is exactly what concerns me. He isnt the type to usually rely on 'wild cards'. Hes competant and knowledgable to stack the deck without trying. That he resorts to such means this IS a dire situation indeed, and actually out of his hands to a large extent". He sips some saki, just for the heck of it. It IS tasty stuff. "Actually, that you pushed him is probably what made him reveal as much as he did. He isnt used to being out of control of the situation. A brave, although potentially fatal, move on your part. What im curious about, however, is the situation to come". Sips some more saki "That, and your plans involving it".

Devi says, "I was an unknown. Now I'm not, I don't know what he's going to do with that. As far as my plans... I plan on finding Johnny, saving him from -it's- clutches, even if it means blowing a hole in the face of whatever level of the world I'm on. After that, I'm going to exorcise Zel, and get him back to normal. I don't know how to go about that one yet through, I thought you might know a solution. Beyond that.." She shrugs, finally looking up at him, the Insanity that Oblivion instilled in her so long ago brewing behind her eyes. "I don't know."

Oblivion nods again. Hes silent for a moment, looking like hes thinking. "If you want to free Johnny, Diablos plan is actually a very sound one. Wait until his captor is distracted, and then strike when you will be dealing only with your target and his guards, rather than his captors entire force. As for Zel, i wasnt aware something was wrong with him. Enlighten me.....". A slight smirk now returns to his features.

Devi says, "To hell with Diablo's plans!" She smacks her fist on the table. Taking a deep breath, she gets another drink of Saki to calm her twitching nerves. "As soon as I find out where.... As for Zel, well, I had asked Caliga to help cure him. Something went wrong. He started gettnig taken over by this black onyx looking stone. It hurt him, and we found out that the Wastelands helped the pain. So I took him out there, and he got sucked into a portal. I pulled him back out, but was only able to after these glowly red tentecales wrapped around us both, and I blasted them away. I think he's possesed by a Mazuko, a very powerful one. Ruby eye Shingera, or whatever his name is. He's part of the reason that my mind shattered a little more yesterday..I don't know how to fix him."

Oblivion doesnt look amused now "Ruby Eye Shabranigdo? THAT does not bode well.....". He gives Devi a look "Devi Devi Devi..... i thought i taught you better than that..... Indeed, to hell with Diablos plans. Overall. However, if a portion of it can be used to your advantage in the short term, always best to use what you can of it. Once youve used what of it you can, THEN skip town and leave the rest of the mess on his plate". He smirks "I know little of this girl mentioned. However, if her forces are what ive heard, then such a situation is your only hope of attempting to free your friend and actually succeed. As for Zel, it sounds like his curse.... mutated, i guess you could say. Something likely messed up the barriers balancing the aspects that made up his body".

Devi says, "Whatever you say man, I can't just wait for them to move. I have to reslove something, or I'm going to shut down. I'll do what I feel is needed." She pours and drinks again, ignoring Oblivions warning that she should wait. "I'm not a stratigist. So, can you help with Zel?"

Oblivion knows his words are falling on deaf ears, so he doesnt mind saying them. One never knows when something will be just loud enough..... "Just remember.... if you jump the gun and die, or worse, you not only wont be helping anyone, you may even be used against the rest just as Johnny has been. With your power, think about that when you have time". He ponders "Ill look into it. If Ruby-Eye himself has possessed him, there is little i can do. If a PIECE of him has possessed him, there will be a much higher chance. If it IS a piece, even one such as myself would need help dealing with it." Oblivion adds "Also remember, most warlords were not strategists. They EMPLOYED a strategist to assist them in their endevors. They meanwhile focused on other things involved with leadership."

Devi says, "Don't worry about me, Blivy, I'm a big girl." She grins. "I'll be fine." She tugs at the crystal around her neck. "You know what this is right? What it houses? I've got 2 other's at home, Sun free, and I thought that it might help draw him outta Zel. I don't know how it would work, exactly, but it's something that I can throw out there, maybe you can do something with them in helping and all."

Oblivion smirks "So you let the dragon outta the bag, or gem in this case. Interesting". He thinks for a moment "Those are the gems Caliga gave, which could trap souls, if i recall?"

Devi nods, "The same ones. And I didn't let shit out. Blame Zel for getting sucked in."

Oblivion smirks "Well, it depends on just how much one of those gems can hold. A bug container ment for a butterfly and wasp wouldnt do much to hold a terantula..... it may prove useful in other ways, however.....". He the ngives her THE most serious look hes ever given anyone "Heed the words i am about to tell you now above any i have ever spoken: If you ARE dead set in going through with trying to free this person so soon, foolish as it might be. Do. NOT. Go. Alone. Take as MANY allies and reinforcements with you as you can find to agree to such an endevor. The more powerful, the better. You will be literally taking on legions and legions of potentially undestroyable, fearless, and hopelessly twisted beings with unknown powers of their own, as well as that of their mistress". He finishes the saki in his cup with a loud *SLURP!* "As for Zel, i will see what i can find out". With that, he vanishes.

Devi smirks, speaking to the space that used to hold Oblivion. "Oh, I don't plan on going alone. I'll have a perberbial army behind me, if I can help it." She lowers her head again, focusing on her papers.
