The Usual Restaurant(#1836R)
You walk into a very large restaurant with high ceilings that leave the rafters exposed. Fluorescent lamps hang from the ceiling, adding light to the floor and tables. Windows adorn the sides of the place, looking out onto the chaos that is Twisted. On some of the walls are paintings, photographs, and holograms of different movies, and a number of people who tend to visit the UR - caught as they're singing karaoke. The hardwood bar rests at the back of the restaurant, surface polished and shiny and all-together spotless (most of the time). Behind the bar are the various beverages that are serveed, and a giant mirror. There seem to be an inordinate amount of different drinks. A large stage rests in one of the corners of the restaurant, with an amazing sound system and a few microphones strung around it. Multiple round wooden tables are in the room, and a swing door leads into the kitchen. Another door leads to the dance club, and another to the gym. And of course, there's an exit. A large fireplace nestles in one of the walls, with a beautiful stone chimney that flows up and out. A long spiral staircase rests near the entrance to the kitchen, leading to a second-floor balcony that overlooks the UR itself. The lights up there are a bit dimmer than those down below.

</i>

Tabitha throws open the door dramatically, staggering into the UR and letting the door close on it's own behind her. With her tail twitching mischiveously behind her she approaches the bar. "Gimmie somethin'! Somethin' ta drink! Don't care what it is!" The bartender smirks and sets a Straberry Itallian Soda before her. Just like always. Taking a huge gulp of it, the girl's ears droop happily. "Ahhhhhh! Yer the best!" Nothing new here.

Dante peers over from his constant swilling of Sake. He never got to drink much of that, so it's quickly become his new favorite. He blinks just once as Tabi goes soda crazy, seeming quite amused by the whole scene. He glances her over a bit before offering a grin. "I always knew you were on drugs, Tabi. Causes a lot of dehydration. ... ... Or so I've heard."

Tabitha glances over at Dante with a raised eyebrow. "Drugs?!? Maaaaan, Senior Diablo hasn't had me do nothin' fer two weeks. No 'go find this person'. No 'run this errand for me'. It's boooooreing." She slumps onto a barstool to illustrate this fact, nearly falling off in the process. "I've been tryin' ta get some exersise by sneaking through the trees all ninja-style, but even that's gettin' old. We need somethin' to get people active again."

Dante hrms. He laughs a bit, before finishing off his... ... looks to be 3rd bottle. Setting it down on the counter, he seems to ponder. "If you were JUST a bit older, I'd have the perfect activity for us... Unfortunately, since I'm not much of a pedophile, that's out the door. Did you have something in mind? Rile up the townsfolk or some shit like that." He's an eloquent speaker, surely.

Tabitha isn't much better. "I dunno. I wish we had like a traveling circus, or a fair, or some kinda Mortal Kombat tournament." She pauses long enough to take another swig of her drink, which she starts to guesture with. "Maybe, maybe we c'n convince people that some eeeeevil crazy-dude with LAZOR eyes is gonna destroy tha city if we don't go out an' find some lost spork of tha ancients!" Her drink suddenly disappears in a final gulp. "Somethin' like that...

From the rafters above, a soft, icy female voice is heard saying "If you want to rile them up, all you need to do is start shooting. Sooner or later, someone or something will show up to stop you". Peering up, Munin is sitting up there, form hidden somewhat by the shadows. One thing IS easy to see, however..... Her glowing violet eyes in the darkness, now that she's taken off the sunglasses. Leaning back, she smirks "Specially if you kill someone. Then the world falls in on you, or at least it used to way back when.....".

Dante huhs. He kind of waves Tabi's idea off. He's prone to flights of fancy, but that sounds a bit....over the top for a bunch of townsfolk. "You'd probably just scare the crap out of the women and children and leave the menfolk thinking they need to get up in arms. Granted that would leave the scared mothers in an available position, but I don't think I'm QUITE that desperate yet. ... I like the idea of a tourny though. I haven't gotten to brawl much since I got here...might give the townsers something t-..." He trails off as Mun makes an 'entrance'...

As Munin speaks one of Tabitha's ears perk up, followed by the rest of her head as she cocks it to the side looking for the source of the voice. "-I- don't wanna kill someone, that'd be wrong! I'm just bored. It feels like everyone's too busy ta do anythin' fun these days. We should find somethin' ta stir things up again." Glancing back at Dante, the girl nods. "See, that'd be fun but someone'd haveta run it. I'm no good at that sortta stuff."

Munin proceeds to put the sunglasses back on "It would also require beings to compete. Three present company aren't enough. One ALSO requires something to be a worthy prize, something also lacking currently" She snickers to herself "Finally, it also includes places to take place in.

Dante grins a bit. Like a true gentleman, he points out to Mun. "Lady, I'd fuck your eyes if that wasn't a bit too perverse for even me. Those things are gorgeous." That seems to be his piece. He looks back over at Tabi and offers a nod. "I'm not either. I can't STAND all that thinking and planning...and lack of booze. Plus, Eyes over there (Great. He has a nickname) is right. We don't have enough fighters.

The tiny bartender nods his elderly head, taking Tabitha's glass and washing it out. "Y'know, back in my day I used to be into the fighting circut. Tried to start my own dojo and everything. At least until my INGRATE deciples stole it from me and forced me to get a job working here." The glass clean, the bartender puts it away. "I can think of a thing or two worth fighting for, and if I've learned anything over the years it's that if you tell people your gonna fight, they tend to show up." Tabitha stares at the old man with another raised eyebrow. "How are you walking around back there if your so short?" The man raises his leg to show off the stilts he's made from an mop and a broom. "I can clean the floors while I tend the bar!" Wow, that's tallent!

If Munin reacts to the compliment, she isn't visible enough to identify it, simply saying "I would rather not have my eyes fucked, thanks....." She then abruptly vanishes from the rafters. As if she had never been there..... "The old man DOES have a point.... if you build it, they will come...." Munin suddenly speaks again from a table behind where the other two are, where they hadn't been looking. She smiles slighty "Just a matter of building it, i guess.... what do you have in mind?" she eyes the bartender thoughtfully

Dante snickers at the bartender, shaking his head. "And did you walk 15 miles through the snow backwards to get to school everyday?" He seems pleased with himself at that one. He glances over at Mun as she decides to teleport. He can SMELL her moving, you know him. "I can understand that, darlin'. How about we meet halfway and hit a room somewhere? I promise I don't bite TOO hard." Every objective is ALWAYS dropped, where possibly scoring is involved. ... Of course, if he KNEW more about who he was hitting on... ... Eh, he'd probably still do it.

The old man's eyes seem to shine as the woman addresses him directly. 'Why did it take this long for anyone to start talking to him' breifly passes through his mind. Tabitha glances around a moment in confusion before realizing Munin had appeared behind her. Taking it in stride she ignores Dante and repeats the question already in the air. "Yeah! What's the idea!?" The old man lowers his head and sighs, "Well you see I used ta be a master at martial arts and lost treasures. I amased a treasure horde like nothin' you've ever seen before. It's the most beautiful thing I ever did see. But, remember I mentioned those ingrate deciples. They wanted that treasure for themselves." He turns around revealing a paper ward hanging off the back of his shirt. "I could use my powers to go get it and share, maybe you could use it for a prize, but someone would have to remove this horrible ward that binds me to this bar and prevents me from going home." The bartender wipes a single tear from his eyes. "What'cha say? You can use my treasure for your tournament and hold it in the park. Everyone wins!"

Munin waves her hands back and forth, palms open "Oooooh no. I've already gotten in enough trouble with things like that in the past. I'm on vacation, as it were, and not touching something like that..... although....". Her eyes flash violet through the shades briefly. "If they bound you to steal it, why would you still have it to share? Why would they leave you alive, or let you go free instead of holding you until you talked? Clearly they did so in this realm, if your stash is here" She raises an eyebrow "Something to the logic doesn't add up there.....

Dante rubs his forehead. "Good god. TOO much thinking, not enough doing. This is why this place is so BORING." He slips Ivory from his trench coat and begins to twirl it idly. "I say we give the old geezer a chance. What's the worst that's going to happen? If he turns out to be tricking us..." He grins, as he's prone to doing, and stops the last twirl with Ivory pointing at the old man. "Then it's just that much more fun to be had. Right?"

The bartender pfft's. "Because they thought by binding my powers I'd tell them where it was located! Keeping my mouth shut is the only thing that keeps it safe." He scowles, "A better question might be why the hell does someone bind me to this stupid bar, but I don't hear you asking that question?" The old man begins to sob heavily. "People beating up and threatening to shoot old men!! Is that what this world's coming to? Why not just kill me now and be done with it? At least then I know my treasure is safe..." Tabitha looks back and forth between everyone frantically, "Come on, now! Ya can't just kill tha guy! He ain't hurtin' no one! With all tha crazies who come an' go around here, I'm not surprised ta hear that someone was bullied like this..." The old man nods, "Yeah! Bullied! Just like your doing now! Ingrates, all of ya! I just want to be helpfuuuul." He falls into sobbing again.

Munin frowns, arms crossing "Something feels off. You want to free him, be my guest. I take no responsibility for whatever may happen.....". She abruptly stands, and vanishes. Meanwhile, across the restraunt, near the door, standing at the same time, is the REAL Munin. As the illusion fades away as it stands, fades into vision in perfect sync. Her frown deepens, eyes glowing steadily behind her sunglasses as she walks out the door and down the street.

Dante mehs, rolling Ivory back into its holster, inside his coat. He grumbles just a little bit. "Shooting em would be easier...but I suppose I'm good either way. As long as its something to do and I manage to find someone to fight, fuck or POSSIBLY both...I'm good."

Tabitha rolls her eyes at the multi-level illusion. "Jeeze, people are too suspicious these days." Suspicion has been planted in her mind reguardless and she eyes the old man a moment before promptly shoving it out of her mind. Her stubborness won't let her be proven wrong today, after all. Even if the suspicion is valid. "It's probably just a laundry list. I bet he's just pullin' our chains." She reaches out and snags the paper off of the old man's back. "I don't see why ya couldn't take it off yerself. Wouldn't it fall off when ya changed clothes?" The room suddenly fills with a bright purple light as a ghostly version of the old man's form suddenly fills the air and cackles. A moment later and the image fades leaving the old man smiling manically, his eyes shining with an intense white light. "Yes, child. Nothing to fear from me." In a flash of speed the old man leaps over the bar and nestles in Tabitha's clevage. "YOU'VE AWAKENED THE ULTIMATE EVIL! ONCE MORE I TAKE MY PLACE AS MASTER OF THE ANYTHING GOES SCHOOL OF-!" With a blow to the head Happosai falls to the floor. Tabitha clutches her chest and screams, "WHAT THE HELL KINDA PERVERT ARE YOU!?!?" Happosai leaps towards the door with a bra in hand, "The kind that just showed you the ULTIMATE way to get people to show up for a tournament! IF YOU EVER WANT TO SEE THESE DEARIES AGAIN, YOU'LL BE IN THE PARK THIS WEEKEND!!! BWA-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH!!!" He abruptly vanishes with a smokebomb. Tabitha stares blankly. "..."

Dante blinks. Tilts his head. He keels backwards laughing. After a moment, he speaks from the ground. "I think I like this old guy after all." He wanders back to his feet...although, from this kneeling position, he kind of glances over at Tabi. He offers her a grin. "I realize, though...that if I were to try the same thing, I'D probably go for a panty check instead."

Tabitha's face is a deep shade of red. "Don't give him any ideas." It takes her a moment of staring at the paper ward in her hands to decide what she'll be doing next. "Maybe I need to put this back on him, somehow.
