Here we go...

Summary: Johnny and Tabitha finally get to talk. Possible start of a scene. Haven't decided if it will exist off-screen or not. Honestly I forgot just how hard it can be to have a scene of just my own characters. Plus, how many times can I go over the contents of their wiki pages in scenes? If people want to know more about these characters - come talk to them ICly. Neither of them has hesitations about telling everything they know...

Who: Johnny_C, Tabitha
When: Aug 8th, 2015
Where: The Usual Restaurant

The Usual Restaurant(#1836R)

You walk into a very large restaurant with high ceilings that leave the rafters exposed. Fluorescent lamps hang from the ceiling, adding light to the floor and tables. Windows adorn the sides of the place, looking out onto the chaos that is Twisted. On some of the walls are paintings, photographs, and holograms of different movies, and a number of people who tend to visit the UR - caught as they're singing karaoke. The hardwood bar rests at the back of the restaurant, surface polished and shiny and all-together spotless (most of the time). Behind the bar are the various beverages that are serveed, and a giant mirror. There seem to be an inordinate amount of different drinks. A large stage rests in one of the corners of the restaurant, with an amazing sound system and a few microphones strung around it. Multiple round wooden tables are in the room, and a swing door leads into the kitchen. Another door leads to the dance club, and another to the gym. And of course, there's an exit. A large fireplace nestles in one of the walls, with a beautiful stone chimney that flows up and out. A long spiral staircase rests near the entrance to the kitchen, leading to a second-floor balcony that overlooks the UR itself. The lights up there are a bit dimmer than those down below.

Johnny pushes open the door to the UR and holds it open for Tabitha. As they walk inside the maniac goes to the bar and waves down the man working tonight. "Cherry coke and a strawberry Italian soda."

Tabitha gives him a strange look as he gestures towards a table and sits down. Following behind she sits across from him as an awkward silence falls over them. After a moment a skutter arrives with both drinks on a tray. Tabitha takes her's and watches as NNY gets his. "I thought you where gonna get food..."

The maniac shrugs, "Eh, I don't really need it." He takes a drink from his soda and closes his eyes. "God I love cherries..."

Smirking slightly at his statement she takes another sip of her drink, watching him carefully. "Um... Johnny? How'd ya know what I drank?"

Blinking in disbelief, the man leans forwards and raises an eyebrow. "You're kidding, right?"

Tabitha can only shake her head in confusion.

"I /made/ you. You're my memories of Samantha. That was her favorite drink." Throwing his boots onto the table he leans back in his chair. After taking a large gulp of his cola he grins at her, "C'mon, it hasn't been that long since we talked has it?"

The girl blushes and turns her gaze to the table, not wanting to make eye contact. After a few minutes she quietly mutters, "...I don't remember anythin'."

Johnny nearly gags on his drink, "EXCUSE ME?! What the fuck do you mean you don't remember anything?!?"

Drawing back from his screaming, Tabitha is suddenly overwhelmed with fear. For some reason she's terrified he's going to leap over the table at her. "I-I-I don't remember anythin'! Diablo... my mind... he..." The words don't seem to want to come and tears start to run down her cheeks. Humiliated on top of everything else she buries her head in her hands. She used to be so much stronger than this.

Not knowing what to make of the waterworks, Johnny stares at the broken girl for a minute or two and starts to reach out to touch her arm. Of course he can't bring himself to do it. "Hey... don't... Look you're kinda making a scene." Thinking quickly he leaps to his feet, runs to the bar, and comes back with a handful of napkins for the nekojin. "Look, here. Napkins."

Without looking she reaches out and grabs them, drying her eyes as best she can. "I-I'm sorry."

Johnny just staaaares. "Jeeze, it's like watching someone else run around in a cat suit." He grins suddenly. "Heeee. Cat-suit."

It's a terrible joke but it works. Tabitha can't help but grin and shake her head distracting her momentarily from the flood of emotions inside her. "Somethin' happened ta me. My memories got rewritten an' then my mind got fragmented. Th-there's four other me's in my head now an' sometimes they take over. Xue and Sun've been helpin' me out, but I can't put it all together. There's a part of me missing an' I don't know what ta do about it."

Johnny listens quietly, shaking his head at the story. "Fuck, the one part of me I didn't want you to have was the voices in my head." He lets out a sigh. "Look, Tabby..."

Tabitha looks up and shakes her head, "Tabby's the younger one."

Johnny pffffft's. "YOU'RE Tabby. It's a play on Sammy and being a cat. Look, call her Newt or something." He pauses watching the emotions play over her eyes as one of her voices accepts the new name happily and suddenly Tabitha's mind switches back in charge. "TABBY, listen to me. If you wanna know something just ask. I should be freaking out right now, but I'm not. You helped me. You're not trying to kill me. ...and clearly you don't remember this stuff. Take advantage and ask me something. It's obvious you want to."

The girl stares at him for a long, quiet moment. With so many things she's confused about, where to start? Finally she takes a deep breath, clears her mind, and mutters, "Alright... Here we go..."
