Anne-Marie Bathilda
Age: 21 Birthdate:
Height: Weight:

Anne-Marie is a tall, relatively thin young woman barely out of her teenage years. She boasts a german-like heritage, with blond hair, pale skin, and emerald green eyes. Her face is fairly round, with a short, pointed nose, thin lips, and sharply kept eyebrows. Her hair is cut shot, but wild with many messy bangs. She's rarely without a smile on her face.

Her limbs are long and thin, nails unpainted, but fingers easily dubbed 'pianist's fingers'. For clothing, she tneds towards loose suit shirts and slacks, typically in whites and blacks, with a loose tie and boots. When donning her Barrier Jacket, she wears a black leather jacket similar to old german coats, with a thick belt and slacks. She's never without her fingerless gloves, her Device, Blitz Razer.

Flaws:

Anne-Marie Bathilda
Anne-Marie was born in the Nanoha Universe, in a world where magic had long died out to the public. Yet, what little vestiges of it were preserved by members of the intergalactic Saint's Church, an ancient religion and knighthood working alongside the military and police force known as the Time Space Administration Bureau in order to stop dangerous, ancient magical artifacts as well as magic-using criminals on both magical and non-magical worlds.

Her parents were two well-known and well regarded magical preservationists and researchers. Their lives were loving and easy with the backing of the religion given their important and secretive duties, and soon enough they were blessed with a daughter, Anne-Marie Bathilda. They swiftly discovered their child was riddled with a number of illnesses that the technology of the world couldn't possibly save her from. Every petition to the TSAB and Saint's Church were reluctantly denied, due to how remote the world was, and concerns over the potential 'miracle' recovery of a child that could let the world know of magic.

Anne-Marie's parents quickly threw everything away, and commited a grave crime: human experimentation on their own daughter using old cybernetics and gene-manipulation therapy they had preserved and forbidden. The process itself nearly killed their ailing daughter, saved only by her father sacrificing his life to produce enough magic to keep her alive. It was all quickly discovered, Anne's mother imprisoned, and every trace of evidence wiped away. The now 'orphaned' Anne-Marie was taken into the Saint Church, and moved from the world lest she discover the truth.

Though blind due to the procedure, she was given her mother's Device, a magical A.I. in the form of a pair of gloves, allowing her to sense wind and enhancing her hearing to allow her to function in society. She quickly came into two talents: first, medical procedures both magical and mundane, and combat. Converting her Device, named Blitz Razor, into a combat model, she ended up as a well-regarded field medic and front-line combatant. Though not considered a powerful mage, her specialized use lightning-based razor wires allowed her more than enough efficiency to challenge those considered more naturally gifted than her, and often win through sheer tactics and her unique abilities. She was on the fast-track as a knight, until one day she found a log on her commander's desk. Her own personelle file, including the truth.

The news broke the idealistic young woman, and it turned to anger. Vowing vengeance for the deception and loss, she attacked her former comrades and the base she was stationed at, annihilating it militarily. And yet, she couldn't bring herself to kill those she'd fought with. Leaving her commander alive with a warning to 'Never come after her', she quickly become an intergalactic terrorist, attacking and weakening the TSAB and Saint's Church whenever she went.

Notes

Anne-Marie Bathilda
Blind: Though rendered blind from her parents' experiments, Anne-Marie has compensated with increased hearing and the ability to sense wind and air pressure through her Device. This, along with searching spells, gives her great combat senses. However, anything involving sight is beyond her, and those able to bypass her senses can easily sneak up on her.

Modern Belkan Device Blitz Razer: The primary source of her powers, Blitz Razor takes the form of a pair of gloves. It is a sentient A.I. and partner to Anne, that focuses and allows her to cast spells ranging from scanning type spells, various medical spells, and the creation and control of her 'Lightning Wires'. Without it, Anne is mostly harmless compared to fellow enhanced humans. Thus, she treats it as more valuable than her own life, and will gladly be wounded before she allows any harm to come to it.

Device Maintenance: Having grown up in the company of Device Users of all kinds, Anne-Marie is familiar with the maintenance and upgrading of various types of these sentient A.I. Similar types of equipment from other worlds, with study, can be worked on as well. It's often her primary form of income.

Cyborg: Anne-Marie is a cyborg, a combination of technology, magic, and gene therapy that gives her enhanced speed and agility, though of only average strength without the use of her Device.

Cartridge System: Using small, shotgun-shell shaped magical ammo, a Belkan Device user can temporarily increase their magical power for one or two attacks. This takes a heavy magical and physical toll, and the ammo used must be recharged. Anne can only use two before she becomes physically exhausted and faces internal damage from the strain.

Spells: Blitz Razer and Anne-Marie are capable of various analytical and searching spells, allowing her to gather information about magical and mundane parties within a block's radius, as well as interface directly with computers to gain information. This can be foiled with proper magical or technological skill or security.

Medical Procedures: Anne-Marie and Blitz Razer are skilled in medical procedures, both mundane and magical. Through the use of her thin Lightning Wires, she is able to perform delicate surgeries and replace lost tissues and muscle, and bind severed limbs to a permanent working state, provided she knows the subject's anatomy. She can also install cybernetics with proper equipment.

Lightning Wires: Her primary spell, both defensive and offensive. Her Device converts her inner magic into wires of solid lightning. By varying magical output, the pair can manipulate thousands of thin strands or simply a few delicate ones, allowing the normally short-ranged type of Device to attack up to a block's radius. By manipulating them with agile movements in her hands, Anne-Marie can form blocking shields, bind opponents, and even manipulate others like puppets. Sufficiently powerful or sharp weaponry can cut these wires, and water-based attacks can turn her own lightning against her. She is skilled enough that she can use these wires to cut through steel, or make them soft enough to bind and not harm her opponents.

Barrier Jacket: A magical suit of armor, as protective as most modern armors against mundane weaponry, and specialized against magical attacks. Anne-Marie's takes the form of a leather coat and slacks in black.

Wanted Criminal: Anne-Marie is a known, wanted criminal by the TSAB and the Saint's Church. Widely considered one of the Church's 'worst failures' given her promising start, the higher-ups in both organizations greatly want to silence her. However, this fame and her skills also draws fellow criminals and those outcast by those organizations, and she's rarely without help in a conflict. So too is she known to not kill, and so most TSAB enforcers are reluctant to kill her as well.

Driven: Her stated goal is to destroy the oppressive TSAB and Saint's Church. So driven is she, similar types of oppressive organizations are her targets as well since coming to the universe of Twisted. Her unique skills are freely given to those with similar, rebellious aims.
