Short Description: He looks like a teenage Adonis sculpted out of marble.

Edward Cullen
Edward is impossibly beautiful, to the point of being almost godlike. His skin is like granite--pale, hard as stone, and ice cold, but perfect and flawless. If he has recently drank, the dark purple circles under his eyes become lighter. In the sunlight, his skin sparkles like millions of beautiful diamonds. His eyes are a golden topaz when he is full and gradually darken to black, like onyx, as he becomes thirstier. His hair is a strange shade of bronze, and is always in casual disarray. He's just over six feet tall, and he has a slender, yet still quite muscular, build. He wears a black jacket overtop of a white tshirt that clings to his sculpted form, along with a pair of tight blue jeans.
Edward Cullen
As a vampire, Edward is capable of feats of exceptional speed, strength, and resilience; he is capable of running in excess of hundreds of miles per hour, and can react and move near-instantaneously to events. He's capable of lifting several hundred times his own bodyweight, and can stop a speeding car with one hand. Vampires are also incredibly resilient, and their skin is harder than granite, almost as hard as diamond; definitely impervious to mundane weaponry. In their home universe, the only things capable of piercing a vampire's skin are the teeth of either a vampire or werewolf, although certainly other special weaponry would also suffice. Although a vampire can be dismembered, this does not kill them, and they can use their venom to reattach their limbs with no lasting ill effects. One of the few weaknesses vampires do have is fire; they are very susceptible to burning. A vampire's venom, injected via their bite, is incredibly painful, more than enough to immobilize a human with sheer agony so the vampire can feed at their leisure. If the victim is not killed after being injected with venom, after three days they will reawaken as a vampire themselves.

Vampires'physical senses are extraordinary, capable of seeing ultraviolet light, and can pick out the smallest of details. His hearing is sensitive enough to be able to hear a car driving down the road from miles away, and his nose is discerning enough to smell the difference between fabrics, and trail an individual from miles away. Vampires do not need to breathe, although they find it uncomfortable to go without, as it deprives them of their sense of smell.

Amongst vampires, Edward is noted for having incredible speed even amongst his own kind, as well as an exceptionally strong sense of self-control, capable of withstanding even the most powerful of temptations. Edward's most impressive power, however, is his telepathy; he is capable of 'hearing' the surface thoughts of those around him. This is something that happens to him by default; normally, he can only drown out extra voices by either concentrating on one specific mind or on environmental details, although it can be stopped by those with some kind of mental defenses. He uses this ability to predict his opponents' actions in combat.

Background

Born in Chicago in 1901, Edward Anthony Masen lived a life of luxury amongst the upper crust of Chicago's elite. But all that changed with an outbreak of the Spanish Influenza raged through Chicago; his father died early during the outbreak, his mother on the verge of succumbing, and it seemed that he too would perish, were it not for the minstrations of one Dr. Carlisle Cullen. Edward's mother begged him to do everything in his power to save her son, and so Carlisle did the only thing he could; he turned Edward into a vampire.

Edward formed a deep bond with Carlisle, who adopted him as his son, and for the next eighty years, he lived with the man as his adopted son. Despite a rebellious period during the twenties, where he fed off of the worst villians of society, he soon came back to Carlisle's ethics, sustaining himself only off the blood of animals. He spent his time well, earning multiple college degrees, but still, he always felt like there was something missing in his life... perhaps, now that he's found his way onto the Twisted Street, he might have the opportunity to find it.
