While traditionally owned and operated by variations of Dragonmaster Cale Charis across the multiverse, the one on Twisted is unique for several reasons. First that it is instead owned by a gargoyle girl named Aquariu who claimed ownership of it shortly after its attachment to Twisted. Currently her whereabouts are unknown but one of the more prominent employes, Yoiko Hibiki has assured those when asked that Aquariu is still around.

Secondly, despite all versions of the UR being structurally identical the Twisted 'branch' is somehow slightly altered. Whether this is a discrepancy caused by temporal fluctuations or due to an outside influence is unknown. During one of the many instances of the Restaurant taking heavy structural damage and having to be restored patron Johnny_C used his shadow-based abilities to repair the damages before the nanobots could do so themselves. The resulting clash created a second floor to the establishment which has been used as additional private seating for those looking to separate themselves from the standard hijinks which tend to happen around the bar.

Also unique to Twisted's Usual Restaurant are skutters from the television show Red Dwarf. They arrived when the Starbug, a small ship from the series, crashed onto Twisted and marooned them here. Since then they've taken occupance in the Usual Restaurant and have become a bit of a staple serving drinks and taking orders as best they can between playing poker in the kitchen or watching old westerns.

Grid Descriptions

The Usual Restaurant(#1836R)

You walk into a very large restaurant with high ceilings that leave the rafters exposed. Fluorescent lamps hang from the ceiling, adding light to the floor and tables. Windows adorn the sides of the place, looking out onto the chaos that is Twisted. On some of the walls are paintings, photographs, and holograms of different movies, and a number of people who tend to visit the UR - caught as they're singing karaoke. The hardwood bar rests at the back of the restaurant, surface polished and shiny and all-together spotless (most of the time). Behind the bar are the various beverages that are serveed, and a giant mirror. There seem to be an inordinate amount of different drinks. A large stage rests in one of the corners of the restaurant, with an amazing sound system and a few microphones strung around it. Multiple round wooden tables are in the room, and a swing door leads into the kitchen. Another door leads to the dance club, and another to the gym. And of course, there's an exit. A large fireplace nestles in one of the walls, with a beautiful stone chimney that flows up and out. A long spiral staircase rests near the entrance to the kitchen, leading to a second-floor balcony that overlooks the UR itself. The lights up there are a bit dimmer than those down below.

UR: Kitchen(#1845R)

This is a nice clean kitchen, the stoves and ovens spotless, and well-maintained. There is a big storage unit, freezer, and refrigerator containing all kinds of food and drink for meals. There is also a small table with a few chairs in the middle of the room, and in the corner is a set of stairs leading up to a small hatch - allowing you access to the roof.

UR: Kitchen(#1845R)

This is a nice room, with a small entertainment center and a couch and chairs set up around it. It has been redone slightly, and now there are multiple soft, comfy, and large bunkbeds along the wall allowing multiple resting areas.

UR: Roof(#1852R)

You climb out the window and on top of the roof of the UR. It's an ordinary roof - although you notice lots of makeshift repair holes spread about in many different places. It slopes down on both sides, as would a normal roof, but not too steeply; so that you can sit and look out across a great view of the city, and even the ocean beyond.

The UR: Boys Bathroom(#4376R)

It's a typical male bathroom. Nothing fancy at all. Stalls, urinals, sinks, and a single open shower to wash yourself off with.

The UR: Girls Bathroom(#2831R)

The girls side of the bathrooms is lavish and lovely. Beautiful marble tile decorate the floor and sinks, and there's a ridiculous amount of stalls and there is always a gentle smell of strawberry's hanging about in the air. It's quite, quite nice! There's even a closed off section where one could shower if desired!

UR: Dance Club(#1842R)

A subdivision of the UR's main restaurant, built after one of the many times the UR has been damaged. Most obvious is a large hardwood floor, perfect for dancing upon, and empty of all hazards that would trip or injure budding dancers. It has been built to accomodate most everyone found in Twisted, with a high vaulted ceiling for those of more than normal height, and also for any fancy flips, leaps, etc. that the more ambitious dancers might attempt. Also, the rafters have been left showing so you can just hang out or dance upon them! There is a stage against the left side of the wall with stairs going up along both sides, microphones resting upon it for anyone who might want to attempt some karaoke. In the back right corner is a small circular platform upon which is a DJ station with all kinds of CDs waiting to be played. The four corners of the room hold giant speakers for giving that powerful surround sound experience. A small padded bench runs along the walls so that one can sit and take a breather in between songs.

UR: Gym(#1838R)

This is not your average gym, as the ceiling expands well above the normal height of the main UR. The walls seem to be lined with an odd material that's practically indestructible. Equipment of every kind is spread around the sides of the gym, from weights - ranging from 'wimpy' to those even a Saiyan might have trouble lifting - to jump-ropes. In the middle of the room is a large pad that could adequately fit ten people fighting at once; ideal for those big training sessions. Numerous other pads rest here and there with some even fixed to the walls. There is a small table-like object in the corner that lets you change the gravity of the room ranging from 1-100, along with tons of warning labels preventing you from sueing the UR if you get hurt. Near the back right corner is a large trunk filled with all kinds of weaponry. The rafters of the roof have been left exposed to practice those overhead aerial attacks, and also against one wall is a large panel where you can generate a holographic opponent.

  • Holographic Opponent Generator(#1841)

Embedded into the wall of the gym is the Holographic Opponent Generator, or H.O.G. for short. In it is a large control panel with a screen in the middle, and various buttons in the front. There is a small display on the panel that reads, "Please enter your opponents' power levels." Looking down at the keypad you'll find you can make virtually any kind of opponent from strong to weak, magic-user to powerhouse. It's fairly easy and the directions are simple to understand. A small blinking button that says "generate" lies to the side of the machine, just waiting to be pressed.

Employment

The Usual has a long standing reputation of allowing anyone to work part time and keep any tips they earn, because of this there are very few people who are actually considered full time employees. Traditionally there is a large cabinet near the entrance of the kitchen which is filled with various sailor fukus with the initials 'UR' embroidered on the backs of the collars.

Uniforms

While the colors are not mandatory, the uniforms are. Male and female uniforms are pictured below.

Karaoke

Sitting beside the stage, covered in dust, is an often-ignored karaoke machine in addition to the ones accessible in the Dance Club. Being a multi-verse setting, they seem to have every song imaginable in its digital catalog, assuming anyone is willing to waste the time to try and browse through it. This includes theme songs to the very same anime some characters on the game have come from. Like much of the Usual Restaurant, it's better not to ask too many questions about this.
