The key to understanding what Zyrael looks like is realizing first, that one does not understand. Once one allows their mind the freedom of accepting that some things are outside of their comprehension, they no longer really have to be confused by it. This raw alien-ness does not come from the fact that Zyrael's body appears to be created of black, scorched rock. Nor is it the appearance of emerald flames wreathing the body in a halo, and seeming to support the rock from within. These things are unusual enough, but when it's very difficult to say whether or not Zyrael is /ever/ standing still, because every rock, slab, and pebble of his body is constantly shifting, along with his size and shape to a lesser or greater extent, the only way to really describe this being is to be honest. He defies description. The only other constant, besides his composition of flames and rock, is a slightly vulpine look to the face, which is almost invariably crafted out of minimalistic rock elements, more flame than face, really. This may not be the kind of creature people should be messing around with.
