Not an add-on for Atmosfear, but a game in it's own right. The Third Dimension was released on PCs around the world. It was mostly a remake of Harbingers for the computer, but it did have some differences. The game also came with a soundtrack that was meant to be played along with the game. There have also been rumors of an expansion that was released in certain countries that allowed play over the internet, though nothing has turned up to prove, or disprove this.

Unlike other entries in the series the host segments are largely handled as audio files with one of three looping shots of the Gatekeeper's eyes which have been animated as if to imply he's speaking. However located in the files are several unused video clips of the Gatekeeper in full costume actually speaking to the player. These are seemingly part of an intro sequence which does not normally play.

Atmosfear: The Third Dimension is a PC game based on Atmosfear: The Harbingers. Game play consisted of visiting the provinces for keys from a first person perspective with the original Gatekeeper, Wenanty Nosul, returning as host. This version also included several mini games which helped or hindered a player's progress. Most noteworthy, this is the first installment in the series which could be played without a group.

Also included was a soundtrack disk that contained the same soundtrack as The Harbingers, but without the Gatekeeper's interruptions. The CD was intended to be played at the same time as the base game meaning for the first time the soundtrack could be listened to entirely on it's own. As an added bonus the soundtrack largely consisted of extended or completely reworked pieces of music from previous Nightmare/Atmosfear installments. Unfortunately it's encoded as a long hour+ single track.

Officially there where no further expansions made available for Atmosfear: The Third Dimension, however rumors suggested a version allowing internet play existing or at least being worked upon. To this day no evidence of this has ever been confirmed.

Approximate Running Time: 30-80 minutes.

Fears

Another unique change to this version is that the players do not choose their own fears, instead they must pick from six pre-made fears and a rendered cutscene is provided for the player when that fear is activated.
