Miriya lands in the Docking Bay and hops out of her variable fighter.

Violet is standing back towards the entrance to the docking bay, watching as the fighter lands. "Welcome aboard, Lieutenant!" she calls out once Miriya has exited her fighter.

Miriya doffs her helmet and salutes. "Thank you M'am"

Violet returns the salute before saying, "At ease." She then offers the pilot a grin. "She's finally up and running! We need a proper shakedown cruise still, but I'm told everything is operating as it should." She pauses, glancing away before muttering under her breath 'finally.'

Miriya nods. "My Sqaudron is ready to board whenever you're ready.

Violet blinks, and then facepalms. "Oh, for... Did I only issue the order for just you? Damnit, I meant the whole squadron...

Miriya shakes her head. "Perhaps I mispoke they're ready and on their way.

Violet sighs in releif. "Okay, good... Docking control has already been told to let them land per normal operations." She motions towads the exit from the bay. "Do you need a tour, or are you familiar with the layout already?

Miriya says, "I've never served on this class of ship before."

Violet tilts her head slightly, then nods. "Alright. Let's take a walk so I can show you the important parts?"

Miriya navigates the corridor casually eyes taking in the directions on the bulkheads.

Violet points out the med bay first. "Just in case, I want everyone to know where the Med bay is, of course. Up here, though, the next more important room for you is likely the lounge? Well, you can get food there, at any rate."

Miriya nods at Violet's earlier comment. "food is good"

Violet laughs and nods. "The view here is nice, too." She grins, looking out into space for a moment before turning to the door again. "Moving on! Are you concerned with the bridge, or shall we move on to the other deck?

Miriya says, "I might as well see the bridge, Though I suppose I won't be visiting it much."

Violet says, "Probably not... though you're pretty high ranking aboard the ship... You might end up thrust into command if things go wrong, so..." She frowns, shaking her head. "Yeah, lemme show you."

Miriya scans the bridge. "How many... 'bridge bunnies' in the crew?

Violet says, "'Bridge Bunnies'?" She blinks. "Oh, right, the bridge crew in Macross... Well, I've only really looked at the names, and a lot of them I'm not sure what their gender or age is... So as far as I know, as few as two, if you include me, and possibly all but one?"

Miriya says, "No sensor techs? representatives from engineering?"

Violet nods. "Well, yeah, but like I said, I've not actually met them yet... Really, only you and Alexa were hand picked by me. The rest were assigned by the fleet. I figured let the paper pushers do their paper pushing, let them make their suggested assignments. Most of the crew isn't aboard just yet, so I don't know who would qualify as a 'bunny' or not yet when I've not actually run into them yet, you know? I'd really not call Artanis a 'bunny,' that's for sure."

Miriya smiles "Duly noted.

Miriya looks around curiously counting the number of duty stations and checking the outside view

Violet says, "Oh! I almost forgot, I should show you the transporter room!"

Miriya nods "that may be useful"

Violet walks into the transporter room as the tech there seems to be working on something. "This is a nice piece of tech. We can transport people to and from planet or other ships here, no need for sending shuttles to and from." As she says this, the transporter powers up, beaming someone in from the planet.

Said transporters seem to be working just perfectly as a tall figure clad in golden armor quickly materializes into view. Glowing blue eyes open once Artanis has been fully teleported in and the Protoss steps out into the bridge with a salute and a telepathic greeting. "En Taro Tassadar!"

Miriya returns the salute. and says something short in zentradi that translates as 'hail to the warrior'

Violet offers a wave to Artanis, then glances at Miriya. "Aw, man, I don't have a catchphrase greeting. I should come up with one." She doesn't particularly sound serious about this. "Welcome aboard Phoenix, Artanis."

Miriya says, "Catchphrase?"

The Protoss relaxes after his greeting and gives a telepathic chuckle at Violet's bemoaning her lack of a warrior salute. "Perhaps in time you will develop your own, Executor." He then nods when he's welcomed aboard and returns to his serious demeanor. "It is an honor finally be here."

Violet blinks at Miriya. "You know, like how Artanis said something in his language, you said something in yours? I'm kinda boring... well, I've got a lot less years on me, I suppose, to have come up with something..."

Miriya shrugs "it's just the greeting in my native tongue. rather like hello. Although it implies one is greeting another warrior"

Artanis watches the exchange silently. For once he doesn't have a whole lot to add!

Violet tilts her head and considers this. "Right, so I need to consider... Oh, Avian, maybe?" She then frowns. "Nah... I'd rather not be seen as taking after my mother in that regard." She sighs, then shakes her head. "Right! Well, let's head down a deck now! You coming along, Artanis? We already stopped by the bridge and lounge, though.

Miriya says, "I don't mind a recap."

Artanis raises a hand. "That is fine, I can explore the rest of the ship at a latter time if it is necessary. Let us proceed with the exploration."

As they move down to the lower deck, Violet points out some of the more noteworthy locations. "All right, over there you'll find engineering, and the cargo bay." Moving further along, she points out, "Marines room, and the Armory... We, uh, don't have any marines yet. But here we are on the crew quarters!"

The fact that the ship has no Marines yet seems to be strangely troubling to Artanis. "I have never met a Terran army who had no Marines. We ought to rectify this problem post haste, Executor." Suggests the Protoss. With all that said however, he seems to be keeping his attention mostly towards the Engineering Bay.

Violet says, "It's in the plans, but the marines aren't my area of expertise... I'm absolutely gonna let the fleet figure out who the best marines are to station here." She shrugs, then glancing at the Engineering bay. "What's up, Artanis?"

Artanis is paying attention despite the fact he's looking elsewhere and turns to Violet when she mentions that she's not in charge of the boarding parties. "I would like to see what kind of recruiting tactics the flees is employing at least. Close combat is an expertise of mine and I expect that I will be working with our infantry very closely." As she asks what's got him so distracted, the Protoss attempts to clarify her concerns. "Simply eying where I suspect I will be spending most of my time in this ship. The Engineering bay happens to be a, how do we say, an old haunt of mine. Particularly when it comes to long space voyages."
