Talk about anything not Nightmare/Atmosfear related here.

Uncle Shrift

Posting this here as the character Uncle Shrift is made by Brett Clements but I am not 100% it directly relates to Nightmare/Atmosfear. At least yet.

Well it does look like it's his most current project, it'd be weird if it didn't relate to Atmosfear in any way given his recent activity...

The artwork and presentation would definitely be right at home in an early 2000s Newgrounds flash line-up and in that respect, I do weirdly enjoy how unabashedly crude it is (to say nothing of machine gunning the tooth fairy to the sound of malfunctioning alarm sirens). Just watching and waiting to see what taboos that 'Uncle Shrift' will break next would be entertaining by itself, especially with an attitude as laid back as his.

In this state though, it definitely wouldn't be fitting for an Atmosfear-adjacent prequel and the messy MS Paint stylings, while passable as an t-shirt design portfolio showcase on Artstation (https://www.artstation.com/brettclements), wouldn't pass muster for a wider commercial or crowdfunding release.

HOWEVER, judging by the lack of updates, barebones implementation and lack of information so far, I'm inclined to assume that much of this is work-in-progress placeholder material intended to be built upon later down the line. Something to be shown to creative partners and various other possible collaborative candidates as a proposal pitch I assume.

The last time we saw a direct unfiltered translation of Brett Clements' uncompromised vision for a game intended to be sold to young kids was when the now infamous Rap Rat was being inflicted on the mass public, so I imagine he'd probably want to avoid a repeat of that...
