This is one of my earliest attempts at coloring my comics. It turned out rather well, but I never finished it. In my defense it was using Paint Shop Pro 3.0. I’m still using PSP today, but jeeze that old 3.0 was archaic.
If you’ve -ever- worked in any type of food-service industry you already know that pre-opening zombies are a real, honest to god scenario. Every business seems to have a flock that show up five minutes before the store opens (sometimes an hour before) and just seem to stand there and watch like your going to let them in because they see you. They ignore what you say, beat on the windows, and demand to know why you can’t serve them right that second. Oh, and woe to thee who mistakenly open the door to let one in for any given reason. That signals the unseen lurkers in the distance that the store is open no matter what the person you’ve let in is doing.
“Boy, get my gun.” I think that’s the best thing you can say at that moment.
The girl on the far right is a cameo from another comic of mine. Her name is Zoe and she’d tear your arm off for a g**damned sandwich.
