EARLY EVENING 
  
A TOP OF THE SOUTH ISLAND VOLCANO 
  
This sword ain't gonna forge itself you know! And so it is time for Muradin Bronzebeard to begin building what will have to be the greatest sword Jason has ever wielded! 
  
Now, to be fair, Muradin doesn't have the smiting skill that his brother Magni has, Magni could have gotten this thing done yesterday for sure, whereas Muradin is having quite a difficult time even figuring out where to begin. However! Muradin had seen Magni work plenty of times, and he knows that before he even starts drawing out the shape of the sword, he needs to get the right ingredients! 
  
It is fortunate then that they live so close to an active volcano. Because what better place to find raw material for a legendary sword than within a volcano! This ordeal is best undertaken with family though, and thus Muradin thought it'd be a GREAT idea to bring everyone along. Telling his family to stand by the edge of the volcano, the dwarf descends into the open mouth of the magma spewing blemish in the earth. Dwarves, thankfully, are resistant enough to those high temperatures, meaning that Muradin should be fine. But it still helps having loved ones around that can hold on to his metal rope so they can reel him out in case of trouble. 
 
Urus stands relatively at attention near the metal rope preparing for the worst, hoping for the best, that sort of thing. He is neither a Dwarf nor a Vampiric siren so pound for pound he is only stronger than the child compared to everyone here. However, that does not mean he is not going to attempt to hold his own in this situation. he Comments on the project "So, I have small plan on how to get that enchanted after you make it... but might need my armor for that." sounding like he beleives it to be a viable propositon.

The mouth of a volcano is no good place for a water loving siren and her soft little offspring, but after being alone for so long, the siren is not one to let her mate do dangerous things on his own. She is dressed as usual in a simple sarong of aqua blue silk and a simple pouch at her waist full of fish for her baby. Speaking of offspring. Morgana has her little one in arms, the sirens head dipped down to nuzzle the rose gold curls of her daughters hair. "we must watch after your papa, some times males need looking after, or they get into trouble." The siren laughs softly, most don't realize the siren has her own brand of humor when she is comfortable and at her ease such as she is with her small family.

Marina warbles out, "Papa Tabble!" as she squirms to try to get a better look down the volcano.  Perhaps the intense heat isn't bother her as much as it does her mother?  She is half dwarf, afterall.  For once, she doesn't seem completely interested in her food, instead more intent to look down at the glowing lava.

"Oh? Aye? Yer gonna hafta tell me all about it, lad!" Muradin yells over at Urus as he descends deep into the volcano. He also makes a mental note that he really needs to get to finish that Xenomorph armor that he promised to Urus. So many backed projects! His brother Magni would really be disappointed! Although, that is kind of Muradin's style, brawl first and do work later. 
  
Well, at least he's getting to do the thing at last. Should be a simple enough of a task, nothing that he hadn't done before. Just get some really intense looking magma, perhaps even magical magma at that, store it up, come back up, and spend a nice afternoon with his family. 
  
But of course, nothing is ever simple when it comes to this family. 
  
After about thirty minutes or so pass, the volcano starts to rumble which is then followed by the voice of Muradin trying to scurry up the metal rope. 
  
"Shait! Shait! Pull me up!!" 
  
Uh oh. What has he awakened down there? 
 
Urus rubs the back of his neck. "You know, I would rather simply leave it at that if you don't mind." he calls somewhat shiftily. he is not going to rush the issue but he does want to kill 3 birds with one stone and the armor is sort of a key peice of the equation. After standing there for a few minutes and the volcano begins to rumble Urus is on the cable before Muradin can stop cursing and give an order. Wraping it around his right arm and leaning back as he trudges to get the rope moving. "What in Hell did you do down there?" he calls back the sudden supprise and worry not doing wonders for his mood, which ends up fluctuating between content, joyed, and pissed off at least a dozen times throughout the average day.

Morgana laughs softly at her daughters words, the babe growing well and developing quickly. No doubt her mixed heritage making her quite precocious. Morgana was not fully comfortable in the heat of the volcano but it would make good sense for little Marina to be a little more hearty around such things seeing that she was her fathers daughter as well. When the volcano rumbles the siren hisses then makes a low instinctive sound to her child, a warning of danger to the little one, much like any wild creature would to its young. The siren was going to need her hands and so she gathers little Marina up and with a dip of her head to the side , her waist long hair falling to the side, she turns Marina and places the babe against her back "hold tight Marina, Papa is in trouble." as she gets those little tentacles to cling on then the siren rises and shakes her long hair over the little one, hiding the babe from sight and encasing the little one in her mothers natural aura. Once the babe is settled she strides forward and reaches for the cable and lends her considerable strength to the task of hauling her mate up.

Marina shouts out, "Papa Tabble!  Papa Tabble!" with a squee, the hiss of warning not going heeded for long.  Still, she does hold on tight...  which of course means Morgana has a new tentacle belt.  She stares intently at the cable, but does nothing to help.

"More like what I dinnae do!!" Cries the Mountain King as he is helped out of the volcano by Urus. "I shoulda hammered the sod's head in ages ago! Och!!" Muradin then begins to run away from the mouth of the volcano without explaining on this -who- is exactly. "Dunno how he bloody hell got 'ere, but that doesn't matter now. Move outta the way!!" He calls Urus as he runs towards Morgana and Marina. 
  
The rumbling becomes louder and for a moment it looks like the volcano is going to erupt and send lava everywhere. 
  
But its actually a lot worse.. as this -WHO- reveals himself. 
  
It is a giant, made of lava it seems? He has a huge horned head and wields an enormous hammer that looks strangely similar in design to that of Muradin. But there is no need to ask for introductions because this particular giant is happy to say who he is. 
  
"BEHOLD!!!" The giant whirls around holding his hammer up to the sky. 
  
"RAGNAROS!!!" 
  
An old friend of Muradin perhaps? 
 
Urus lets go as Muradin finds himself in relative safty. "Well that does not sound good..." he says as his dwarven companion is running from a fight. Urus getting his things and starting to go, suddenly gets an idea. Well he was thinking he might have to brown nose Kotal sooner or later for a favor so this was as decent a proving ground as any. He clears his throat as he tries to make it sound like he actually cares. "Oh Mighty Ragnaros, What brings you to our humble island." he shouts trying to sound sincere and if anything giving the other three a head start, he should have a second or two to dodge with a hammer of that size.

As Muradin scurries up the side of the volcano and that voice erupts, the siren makes a discordant shriek of fury. There is danger to her child here and that is NOT to be tolerated. When Mura runs past the siren drops the cable and moves away from the mouth of the mountain. She is far from the water and its gona be quite a run to the sea if things get ugly. The sea is the best and most safe place for her baby in case of danger. When Urus speaks to the entity from the volcano she hisses , knowing her warrior has put himself between the family and danger.

Marina, sensing her mother's agitation, as well as hearing that deep voice roaring from the depths, starts simply crying.  She tightens her grip on her mother as she bawls, no longer bubbly.  Surely, this is the most egregious of Ragnaros' evils.   Making a toddler cry.

Yeah, something like that is going to attract Auron's attention.  Though whether it's the giant fire beastie coming out of a crater or the crying child is anyone's guess.  How?  Does it really matter?  From the looks of things it's not something that needs to go unchallenged.
  
So there it is, as people are running away from the volcano, someone's walking towards it.  It's a man in a long red coat, gray breastplate, dark gray pants, and heavy boots.  Oh.  And a sword damn near as big as he is, resting on his shoulder.  He's holding the massive blade one-handed, propped on his shoulder.  The other hand, his left, is tucked in his coat, the red garment acting as a sling.
  
His aim will be first to make certain there is as much between Morgana and her child as possible.  By placing himself there.  Not to worry, he's far enough away so he doesn't hit anyone with the blade he's carrying.  Nonetheless he shifts the blade, putting it point down upon the ground before him.
 
"YOUR ISLAND!!!??" 
  
Howls Ragnaros the Firelord in retort to Urus' question. 
  
"THIS IS MINE!! MY ISLAND!!" 
  
"BEGONE FROM MY REALM, INSECTS!!" 
  
Muradin spits to the side and summons his mighty Mirithos and Troggbane to his hands. "No use reasoning with it, lad. That's Ragnaros the Firelord, crazed prime elemental from me world. I dinnae how he got here like I said but he brings nothing but bad news." 
  
Muradin takes point next to his wife, of course, ready to defend her and his daughter with his life if its necessary! When the stranger with the giant sword appears, Muradin first looks at him with eyes of mistrust, but Muradin is well acquainted with errant heroes such as what Auron appears to be, and he simply nods towards him. 
  
"Ey stranger! If ye plan to stand by our side I hope ye got some fire resistant items with ye!" 
  
Muradin the tries to sooth his crying baby, everything will be alright, daddy and mommy are here-OH SHIT INCOMING GIANT HAMMER! 
  
"BY FIRE BE PURGED!!!" Screams Ragnaros and makes a wide sweep with his hammer, trying to hit all of the people at once. 
 
Urus shrugs as his plan did not exactly work, to be honest he was not sure what to expect. "This "insect" Is going to squash you, you overgrown pile of molten sludge." Urus retorts. he is about to grab one of his weapons from his cooler but has to immediately drop to the ground to avoid the large mallet. "See what you did..." he shouts at the elemental, Marina's distress calling out and hitting him. "You scared the baby... now you die." he goes for his auto-shotgun in his cooler and quickly roots around for the yellow colored shotgun shell drum, staying low in case the elemental tries the same thing again.

Morgana crouches in a defensive posture as the stranger arrives and steps before her, to stand with Urus to face the beast from the volcano. The sound of Marina's wails infuriate the siren. She has lived a thousand years and been angry before but nothing has made her THIS angry. How dare the fire beast make her child afraid, her sweet happy baby. Oh yes, this thing will die!. The sirens eyes flash and she takes a great breath and lets loose a loud discordant shriek of furry. The sound rings out over the volcano, a noise that would shatter glass were there any present. The siren has done damage to things with her voice before, not only is a sirens call for seduction after all.

Once crying, a small child like this can very easily ignore things like strangers, uncles threating the giant fire monster, even a giant hammer swinging down on where her daddy was just a few seconds ago.  One thing said small child cannot ignore, however, is her mother's shreak.  Somehow, she doesn't seem to be adversely affected by the discordant noise at all, in fact, somehow she seems almost...  soothed by it, as if she knows this is an attack made in her defence.  The crying, while it doesn't quite stop, certainly lessens to the point where one wouldn't exactly call it bawling anymore.
 
Auron looks to Muradin first, since the dwarf is the first to look in his direction.  At the nod, he gives one in return -- that's right, he's just some random dude who ended up here by chance, but totally wants to help.  Fire resistance items?  "...Not exactly."  Why couldn't he have shown up with Braska?  Or Yuna?  Both of them knew NulBlaze!
  
He doesn't move when the giant hammer is swung.  Not until he's sure that Morgana and Marina are safe.  Instead he shifts the sword over to the side the blow is coming from, and braces himself under it, with the sword at an angle.  The blow hurts something FIERCE when it hits, and it's likely he's going to get at least a dislocated shoulder out of the move.  But the incline of the blade should cause most of the velocity of the blow to redirect the hammer's mass upwards, away from the ground.  And if all goes as planned, away from Morgana and Marina.
  
Though, speaking of the woman and her baby... that wailing... the child is clearly scared... and it's seeping into Auron, a coldness beginning to set up in his gut.  There's a slight wince from the man in the red coat, which only increases when Morgana releases her own wail.  At least the little one's not wailing so much now.  Makes it easier to focus!
 
A thunderous *KLANG!* of steel meeting steel is heard as mighty Sulfuras clashes hard against Auron's blade. Its nothing short of an epic feat, Auron actually DEFLECTED the hammer, even if it cost him gravely. But out of the way it is thrown, and just as it was flying in Morgana and Marina's direction, it is violently deflected out of the way. 
  
"AAH!! INSECTS!!" He screams out in indignation, never before having been parried. Blocked, maybe, but a full on parry? 
  
Its all the time he doesn't have to be surprised, as a barrage of bullets pierces into his fiery flesh and Morgana's wail causes him to holds his ears in agony. "AAAAAAAAGGGH!!" So this Firelord can feel pain after all, and its evident when he suddenly gets a Mountain King storm bolt SMASHED into his face as Muradin throws his hammer. 
  
"Eat this ye bastard!!" Looks like yet another one is being affected by Marina's wail although instead of becoming sad, Muradin just goes into a rage like Morgana. 
  
"SULFURAS WILL BE YOUR END!!!" Not to be defeated so easily, Ragnaros swings his hammer vertically this time, intending to flatten everyone with his hammer or at least send them flying in fiery pieces. 
 
Urus having pulled out the auto-shotgun and began firing, it only took about 4 seconds however for all 20 of the 00' Buckshot shells to be expended. obviously he needs some heavier firepower, and that's when he finds the drum he is looking for. With a quick eject of the empty container clattering to the ground, he slaps in the new one and pulls back the charging handle. he however has to pause when Morgana's scream come blasting in like gangbusters. Like Auron, he has trouble focusing with that sound. "Morgana!!! It is hard to aim with noise!" he gets himself together before unleashing hell, aiming at the hammer with the attempt to damage the elemental's go to weapon. At the rate of 5 shells every second, the consistent thud of the weapon produces small glowing spheres that detonate on impact with the target like miniature grenades. shifting the weight he even finds the time and strength to pull out his side arm at the same time, popping up into a kneeling position and throwing .50 caliber Action Express towards the living lava's face.

As that hammer comes toward her and the babe and is deflected the siren leaps back just to assure she is out of the way. The fire beasts howls of pain please the siren and he smiles with a feral pleasure. When the males unleash hell on the beast the siren lets her shriek die away. She is a creature of instinct and does not always think about how her powerful voice effects others. As the beast makes to strike again the siren calls out, "come beast, come to me...if you are so great, come to my realm" The siren has seen how the lava vents deep under the sea and how it instantly hardens under the cold of the sea waters. If she can lead it to the waters, she can protect her family and be done with the beast.

Marina is mostly silent now as she listens to her mother calling to the threat.  Somehow, her mother threatening others is a soothing sound to this particular child, and she tries to peer around her mother's neck to look at the threat again.  "Foooooooooom!" she says.
 
Auron has to move then.  He's pretty darn strong, but he's not about to trust an injured arm against this particular foe.  While he may seem like he's fearless, he's not.  And even if he was, Auron is not STUPID.  At the same time, though, he can't leave Morgana and her child in harm's way.  Fortunately Morgana's smart enough to back up, so he can leap back himself, out of the way of the strike.  Though it's less a leap and more a backwards roll.  Also there's a rock there.  Pardon him; he'll get back in the fight momentarily.  Right now he has to jam his shoulder back into joint.  Ouch!
 
"WHAT??-AARGGGH!!" Ragnaros is mostly annoyed by the high caliber shots being fired upon him and he eventually puts his hammer on the way to block the incoming bullets shot at him. But what really seems to piss him off is Morgana's challenge to try and squish her. How dare this little fish challenge the might of the Firelord??? 
  
"I WILL BURN YOU TO CINDERS!!!" Ragnaros begins moving towards Morgana leaving a large trail of lava behind him. But, interestingly, he seems to be connected somehow with the volcano, and when he steps out of the mouth he shrinks in size until he's about as tall as Urus. 
  
"Oh.. it is too soon still." Even his voice is normalized. How strange. 
 
Urus Smiles toothily and cackles as the shots albeit seem to do little, are at least keeping people from dying so, score one. Plus, he has not had this much fun in months. As the creature comes out and grows smaller, the load of fire stops, well, for just enough time for him to reload the shotgun, switching to the green shelled solid steel slugs, then the magnum pistol. "too soon, ohhh you mean your demise? YES I was just starting to have fun" as he steps closer and closer, stock of the shotgun under the right armpit with the pistol outstreched, throwing off yet another flurry of steel and lead, he is going to have racked up a serious ammuniton bill by the end of this. "I am a Hyena And I am going to kill you... killing killing you." he sings off to the same tune of muradin's favorite digging song cackling afterwords in joy at the carnage.

The siren is all set to make a dash for the sea when the beast bellows and lurches out of the volcano. She blinks as the beast shrinks and a wicked smirk curls her lips. "not yet in my realm and already you grow weak as a candle in the breeze. You threaten my family and you regret it." She watches as Urus sends more lead toward the beast.

Marina points at Ragnaros and just says one thing.  "BOOOOOOM!"  Well, she's made her request.

Well, that was really stupid of the fire giant, wasn't it?  Stepping out of his lava pool before he's ready to be the world-ending terror he is while inside it.  But see, now Ragnaros has a problem.  Because that loud, grating POP, followed by the pained grunt, signals that Auron's got his shoulder back in joint.  Which is also bad for Ragnaros.  Since, while Auron isn't a mage, he possesses some minor magical items.  Like, say, the object he pulls from his coat...
  
An Arctic Wind.
  
A Spiran 'Arctic Wind' is a soothing thing for those aligned with ice.  The frigid energies therein gather as Auron's own personal qi reaches in and releases them from the prison of the filmy, diaphanous wisp of what could easily be mistaken as a scrap of gossamer fabric.  But as the fabric breaks down into silvery wisps, those icy energies start to swirl around Ragnaros.  And then suddenly a large, sharp column of ice, almost a spear, rises up from the ground beneath the fire giant.
 
Although smaller and with his power greatly diminished, Ragnaros is not completely helpless. He backs up as Urus begins unleashing a barrage of firepower upon him, shooting him over and over and over again, but being made completely out of molten lava does help mitigate the shots even if he's much smaller. "Aggh!! Stop that!!!" Cries out mini Ragnaros as he swings a rolling fireball at Urus' direction. 
  
Focusing on Urus however, leaves him wide open for Auron's ice spell, which emerges directly under his feet and push through his body and head freezing him to his very core. "GRAAAH!!" He backpedals, prying himself off the column of ice and starts heading back for the volcano. "No.. it is too soon!! I'm not ready!" 
  
Naturally its probably a bad idea to let him head back to the lava. 
 
Urus is smiling and gigling like a child at the discompfort it seems to be having. Of course the roling fireball is a big problem, so he does pause everything to duck and roll out of the way, the rough ground not being the most compfortable place to do it, but then again fire hurts. "come on, I though I was an insect!" Urus taunts throwing both empty weapons aside. "come on, hit me with your best shot!" the sudden ice spike though gets an eyebrow raise as he looks around and notices the new guy. "When the hell did this guy show up?" he asks apparently having been too busy with the task at hand to have noticed anyone behind him.

As the ice envelops the beast the siren watches as the beast tries to back toward the lava pool. She frowns hard and reaches a hand out "My Warrior, do not let the beast go back to its lair, it seeks to escape to the fire again." She takes a great breath and lets loose another of those sharp and discordant sounds that makes the very stones vibrate sharply.

Marina continues trying to point over Morgana's shoulder.  "Boom!   Booooooom!" she calls out.  "Ittle mosser Boom!"  She does wince ever so slightly at her mother's screach this time, though.
 
"A moment ago."  This to Urus's words.  Then he's concentrating on the fire giant again.  They need to stop him from getting back to that lava.  Otherwise it'll probably heal the thing, and Ragnaros may not actually be able to be injured while it's inside that lava.  Or there could be a regen situation happening here.  But Auron has an idea.  It might not work, but if it does, it could give them the moment they need.
  
He pauses, to concentrate his qi into his Vishuddha chakra.  This won't be visible, nor will the effects be.  But they'll definitely be audible when he speaks.  Eyes locked on Ragnaros, he speaks.
  
"Do Not Move."
  
His voice is not loud or booming, but somehow seems to echo abnormally.  The scientific amongst the group might be able to tell that he's actually using infrasound, like the undertones of tigers' roars that paralyze even seasoned handlers.  So it seems that Morgana and Marina aren't the only ones who can fight with sound!  It's aimed right at Ragnaros, trying to paralyze the beast temporarily.
 
"Urus, ye gotta pay more attention to yer surroundings, mate!" Calls Muradin as Urus just now seems to realize that Auron has been helping the whole time and even deflected a strike thrown at Morgana and Marina. 
  
Ragnaros takes that brief moment of chaos within the party to try and scurry back to the lava, only to feel compelled to turn around and face Auron. Is it magic, chi, or just plain presence that makes him look back? Hard to tell, but Auron suddenly has all of Ragnaros' attention. "What-AAAAAAGGGH!!" Which is then immediately broken by Morgana screeching so hard that it would shatter even the Firelord's ear drums. 
  
A scream that is far too familiar to Muradin who's grown well accustomed to such a thing. If anything.. the dwarf likes it at this point! 
  
But that's not the point right now, the thing is that wee Marina wants the bad monster to go boom, and daddy never lets his princess down. 
  
Jumping at the smaller Ragnaros, Muradin SMASHES both Mirithos and Troggbane into the Firelord's sides and the once fire giant gets split it half. 
  
"Noo!!" His upper half goes back and his lower half goes forward. "It's.. too.. sooon.." And he turns into ash leaving molten flame behind.. huh, maybe Muradin can use this to forge that one sword. 
 
Urus having heard Morgana was running to block the path, something that is no longer necessary when Muradin finishes the job. "Well, that was fun! maybe you can call him back sometime. Was good practice." Most people would think Urus was joking, however he only takes it really seriously when he is almost half dead by the end of it. and looking around, it seems like everyone is alright. "Everyone okay? Do I need to fix something?" he looks at everyone including the newcomer. "And Morgana, I know that is your weapon but, can you aim it in direction that does not include me?" he asks somewhat pleadingly, taking a pinky claw and cleaning out his ear.
