On November 8th, 2006, disaster was averted by a group of unlikely heroes that managed to prevent a man with an Evolved ability from exploding, saving thousands of lives in the process. The resulting explosion in the sky was explained away by government officials as an airplane explosion, and while conspiracy theorists jumped upon the event, the public at large remained blissfully unaware of what really happened.

On February 2, 2007, a tornado rips a 70 mile trail through central Florida, killing 21 and injuring 76. A young man is found where the tornado dispersed, his clothing ripped but otherwise completely unharmed. He summarily disappeared afterward.
On September 12, 2007, earthquakes struck in the Indian Ocean, unleashing great amounts of devastation upon Sumatra. Near the site where the earthquakes originated, an abandoned boat was anchored, its crew missing.

A devastating earthquake striks in Great Sichuan, China on May 12, 2008. About 70,000 died, and over 18,000 are missing in the devastation. The Company makes an appearance, though the world at large remains unaware.
From November 13 to November 15, 2008, a wildfire tears its way through California, taking firefighters days to control it and put it out. No cause of the fire is found.

On March 27, 2009, a dam bursts and a flood rips through Jakarta, Indonesia, killing many; many are confused by the bursting of the dam, which was structurally sound.
From May 5 to May 18 of 2009, a wildfire raged for nearly two weeks in the hills of Santa Barbara, California. No cause of the fire is found.
On September 23rd, eastern Australia encounters the worst dust storm it has seen in seventy years, smothering Sydney in red dirt.

On January 12, a disastrous earthquake hits Haiti, killing hundreds of thousands of people. A strange phenomenon is found, a circular spot near the suspected center of the earthquake is untouched. Two weeks later, Haiti is hit by an aftershock.
A massive earthquake strikes Chile on February 27, killing hundreds.
From May to August, China is hit by several floods; hundreds perish.
Mount Merapi in Indonesia erupts from October 25 to November 11, killing many and leaving others missing.
A devastating forest fire sweeps over Mount Carmel in Israel in early December; the cause is unknown.

Floods and landslides kill hundreds in Rio de Janeiro from January 11 to January 16, caused by sudden, uncharacteristically heavy rains.
On March 11, a devastating earthquake hits the Japanese coast, causing damage to the Fukushima-Daiichi power plant. The Japanese Government is very secretive about the damages; conspiracy theories run wild.
On May 22nd, an F5 tornado rips through Joplin, MO, killing many. Another man is discovered unharmed in the rubble; he disappears shortly after the disaster.
From May 29th through to July, the Wallow Fire rages across Arizona, its cause suspected to be campers.
On August 13th, uncharacteristically heavy winds cause a stage in Indianapolis, IN to collapse during a concert at the State Fair, killing 7 and injuring 43.

A new strain of Mad Cow Disease is found in California; the changes seem "unnatural," according to the CDC.

On April 17th, a Fertilizer distribution center exploded; the cause was listed as a chemical reaction.
An earthquake rips through Lushan, China on April 20, 2013, killing hundreds and injuring more.
