Confiding in Rose | ||

The smell of coffee... instant coffee, but coffee nonetheless, wafts from the kitchenette. A still groggy and discheveled looking Rose walks in with a steaming mug of the stuff. "Oshiro? What were you doing last night?" asks the girl... who really looks too young to be this much into coffee, honestly, but there she is. Oshiro looks over at Rose curiously, "Oh hey. Sorry. I was out walking. There is a lot on my mind. I'm going through a bit of a problem. Was talking with a friend to help me out but I dunno if its going to help at this point." She rubs her head and looks over at her. "Doing alright here? Sorry I am so secretive." Rose frowns and looks at her coffee. "S'allright. We've all got our secrets, Oshiro." She looks up again, smiling lightly. "On the good news side? I managed to test out high school, and then later got a job interview offer to do IT for a bunch of superheroes, of all things." Oshiro smiles a little. "Thats wonderful Rose. I'm glad to hear it. I guess you should probably be let in on my secret." She takes a deep breathe. "I'm a Magical Girl. If thats not enough I am in a boat load of trouble and by the end of the month, there is a high chance that I am either going to be dead or a danger to a nice size swath of the city." Rose sits down on the couch and takes a careful sip of the coffee. To her credit, she manages not to do a spit-take when Oshiro drops the magical girl bomb onto her, but the swallow is quite audible and she then coughs a bit. "You're a what? The whole ribbons and sparkles thing?" Apparently she's not run into any of the other magical girls in the area. "You're going to be what?" she sputters slightly, still trying to clear her throat. Oshiro smiles and quickly turns her ring into her soul gem. Then with a quick motion she tosses it in the air. Her clothing rapidly changes becoming her varient of a magical girl outfit. she catches her soul gem with a gentle catch. it becomes her ring once more and a staff forms in her hand. When the lightshow ends, she is actually not really so much ribbons and sparkles. Not as much as some anyway. She does look cool though. "See?" Rose covers her eyes slightly at the lightshow, but then gapes at the end result. "I... uhhh..." she blinks twice, then looks down at her coffee as if wondering what the heck was in it. When she looks back up, she offers a weak but confused looking smile. "I'd show you my own transformation as it were, but then I don't think you'd get the security deposit back." She then blinks again and winces, cursing under her breath as she realizes Oshiro isn't going to live that long without being a major threat, anyway. Oshiro shrugs and just leans back in her seat. "The type of magical girl I am... I entered into a contract. I didn't want to but. I had to. The deal was, I get 1 wish. In exchange for that wish, I would have to fight witches. A lot of the fine print was hidden from me sadly. I wished to know where my parents were. When I got to them though. They were gone." She fshakes her head. "For the past 2 years I've been hunting and killing witches. Then things went upside down. One of them poisoned my soul. That poison is spreading. I will either need to be eliminated, or I will become a witch myself when my soulgem turns black" She sighs. "A friend is trying to find a way to help me. Rose frowns and looks down at her coffee again. How to deal with impending doom is not something she knows at all. "I... I wish I knew what to say, Oshiro. All that kind of stuff... It's beyond me. I guess all I can do is be here to talk to if you need it, wish you luck, and maybe pray for you." She sighs, slumping her shoulders. Oshiro nods, "Well. I think. If things don't look promising I might transfer the lease here over to you. That way you have a place to stay." She frowns. "Until then I have to try to keep happy or at least not fall into dispair. Negative emotions will accelerate the process." She brings her hand out and the soul gem appears. "The black streak is a curse which is taking root. Its the poison." Rose carefully looks over at the streak on the gem. "...Well... You'll just have to trust in your friends, then, right? Trust that they can come up with something, and keep on going in hopes that they'll figure something else out. Because... you really don't want them to figure something else out just to have the thing get worse only because you're despairing." She leans back into the couch again, taking another sip of her coffee. "So... what do you want in life, then?" Oshiro Sighs and starts tearing up. "I used to want to open a restaurant with my parents.They met in a kitchen and I was working in one until a stupid dog got me fired. That is all I wanted. I didn't think I would become some Magical girl fighting nasty witches and saving lives. I didn't think I would be starring down the barrel of my own end and looking at the potential to meet every bit of good I've done with something far worse." Rose grimmaces and winces, "Hey, hey, hey, calm down! Look... that's one bad bit of luck, there's a ton of other restaurants out there! I'd never have gotten anywhere if I lamented over all the jobs I got turned down for." It's really a pity she has that aversion to physical contact or she'd be hugging Oshiro right now. As it is, she doesn't even try, since a failed attempt would likely just make things worse. "So you get out there, you start cooking for people. Make meals for those friends helping you out, refine your craft, find what your specialty is! Forget a month from now, go look into what you can go out there and make now." Oshiro Nods, "I will after I sleep." She smiles. Her henshin shatters and falls away like Sakura blossoms. "I am hoping Twilight comes up with something. I've got a lot of friends helping out and stuff. I just gotta hold onto hope." She glances at her soul gem and the strand of darkness in it has gotten a little thicker. Her eyes close. "One thing is certain. I have a little white alien to kill when I see him again." Rose frowns, then raises an eyebrow. "Get me a ranged weapon and I'll help." She actually sounds serious about that. "We can set up a trap if it comes down to it, a pincer motion or an ambush." Oshiro smiles and laughs, "The thing won't stay dead. I've killed him a few times. A friend killed him a couple times, When I see him again I'm going to blow him up. He will come back with another body though. The bastard. He will continue going to girls and manipulating them. Tricking them to make wishes and letting them become witches." Rose nods slowly. "Ahh... so we need an actual trap, then. Unfortunately, the extent of my non-lethal weapons experience is just my tazer. No offence, but I'd rather not get involved up close with it." Oshiro laughs, "He doesn't fight. No defenses. He banks on magical girls like me to protect him. The problem is, I won't do that anymore. He has no emotions either. Its annoying. Rose frowns again. "Hrm. Well, I guess the biggest thing you can do is make sure he doesn't do it again by making sure everyone knows about him? There's plenty of people around this crazy city that can take on the witches, I think... Like I said, I'm hopefully going to be working for a group of straight-up superheroes." Oshiro nods, "I'm the one I'm more worried about right no. If what Kyubey said is true... I will cause cause a lot of problems. Over the past two years, I've saved a lot of people. I've taken down more witches then I care to count. If he is right... I will do damage equal to that. Lots of death and mayhem. Its messed up" Rose frowns into her coffee again before turning to Oshiro with a glare. "Don't worry about that. Forget about that. It's not what's happening. Your friends will come through for you and you need to keep your faith in them!" Why no, she has no clue who this 'Twilight' person actually is, but she's attempting to keep Oshiro positive. Oshiro nods, "You're right. I visited Twilight last night. No luck. She actually kept me from dying though so. I trust her." She sighs, "I think I need something to Eat. Want something?" She stands and starts moving to the kitchen. Rose nods and looks down at her coffee again. "Yeah... I... just woke up. This is just the start of my wakeup ritual." Oshiro slips into the kitchen and starts cooking some breakfast. | |
