Violet steps up to outside Alexa's apartment. There, outside the door, she pauses, her hand up to almost knock on the door. She blinks, then quietly laughs. "What the hell is wrong with me?" She closes her eyes, then takes a deep breath in, then out. Opening her eyes, she uses her own key to open the door. . o O ( Yeesh. Why am I nervous about this? It's not like I don't already have free reign to just come in whenever I want... ) Alexa looks up from the tablet, and smiles. "Hey there beautiful!" She puts the tablet down and stands up. "Pizza's still warm if'n you find yourself hungry at all." Violet blinks as Alexa immediately greets her, and then laughs, a hand moving to the back of her head. "Eheheh... Hey, Alexa... How are you, uh, doing today?" She's just giving off all kinds of signs of nervousness for some reason. "Oooh, pizza, um... Yes! Thank you!" Alexa raises a brow and goes from happy to concerned. "Um, what's wrong? Did something happen?" she tilts her head a bit. "Wait, you're not gettin' sent off on a mission, are ya?" Violet blinks and laughs. "No! No! Nothing like that, and if I was, you'd probably be going, too. no, no, it's..." She frowns, wondering again why this is so hard to get through for her. "Um... Okay, how do I put this..." She sighs, laughing nervously again. "Um, yeah, so, before, when I said I had some things that I still had to worry about that kept me from doing the whole moving in and stuff? Uhhhh.... Well, it's kinda..." She sighs and facepalms. "Everyone said I shouldn't worry about it that much. Because it's not like I was the only one worrying over it." Alexa smiles a little, not quite getting the whole picture yet. "Oh, well, that's good, right? One thing off your mind." she leans in and kisses Violet on the cheek before turning and heading back to the couch. Violet sighs a bit in frustration with herself again, but she does look up with a smile at the kiss to her cheek. "Well, yes and no... the issue is still there, but I... I don't need to keep an eye on Raven as much as I was thinking I did." She watches Alexa head back to the couch for a few seconds before walking to follow her a bit too quickly, perhaps. She does fall onto the couch to sit, still looking nervous. "But, uhhh... That kind of leads to the... point of... this. Is, uh... the offer still open?" Alexa binks and then it slowly dawns on her. She smiles brightly, scoots next to Violet and pulls her close, kissing her for a long moment before talking again. "Hell yes it is, darlin'!" Violet's nervousness leaves her caught completely off guard for the kiss. She initially almost pulls away in surprise, but it's less then a split second before she seemingly melts into the kiss. She seems reluctant to end the kiss, but is nonetheless happy to hear what comes next. "Really?!" She sounds a bit overly excited and almost surprised by it, then puts a hand to her forehead with a laugh. "I mean, yeah, I should have expected it, um... Yeah, so..." She just smiles for a moment before shaking her head to snap herself out of the moment. "Right, right, right, but I've still gotta tell Rave, and she's kinda... Off planet." Alexa laughs a little at that. "Do what you gotta do, darlin'. It's alright!" She hugs Violet tightly. "I love you!" Yeah, she's happy. Really happy. Violet is once again caught slightly off guard on the hug. "Gyih-heh... I love you too, hon. Gyerk." She tries to compose herself again. "Right, well, um... She's off somewhere I think with my Pops, but I know he can get me up there and... Huh. You want me to see if you can come along, too? I mean, get yourself back up there in the black for a bit, even if someone else's piloting and stuff?" Alexa blinks. "Oh! Um, normally I would, but I need to get things like, ready. Maybe real plates and stuff.." She starts thinking of things she needs to get to actually make it home, since it's kind of a 'bachelor pad'. Violet pauses a moment before breaking out into laughter. "Okay, okay. I suppose it shouldn't be too long before we're up in space as much as down here, anyway." She laughs again and stands up. "Okay, okay, okay, uhhh... You get started, then I can join up with you later on, it kinda sounds like fun... But I really think I should tell Raven in person... I'll see you later, okay?" She leans in for a quick kiss. Alexa returns the kiss and smiles. "See you at home later, then." she winks. Violet nods with a smile. "Right!" She laughs again, standing up now. "Home..." She smiles a bit wistfully, then shakes her head to snap out of it. "Right, right, you have your preparations, I have mine! Uhhh... Yeah, See you later!" She's apparently forgotten she's already said that as she walks perhaps a bit too quickly again towards the door. Alexa blows her a kiss as she leaves, and as Violet closes the door, she hears cheering. Looks like Raven and all the kids, even Marque, are sitting around a table playing Star Wars Monopoly and snacking. Aaaand, it looks like Em actually has control of most of the board. Raven lands on Boardwalk, and rolls her eyes as she hands over all the rest of her stuff to Em. Aerial and Lishra start laughing. "Jeez, Mom, you're terrible at this!" Aerial says, grinning. Raven chuckles. "Hey, I never said I was good with money. I have accountants for that!" Emrys just quietly collects his winnings from his mother and smiles. And meanwhile while this was going on. A VF-27 screams from orbit and heads for the farside of the moon, where the Last of the Battlestars is moored. Once the fighter comes in for a landing and Jack gets out, "Right...need to get with Falcon, the engines feel off." he says as he pulls off his helmet and he looks over at his passenger, "You okay?" Violet pulls her own helmet off and grins at Jack. "I'm fine, I'm fine! I was way more nervous on the other end, with Alexa." With that, she pulls herself out of the fighter as well, landing next to Jack. Play continues, and Em seems to be cleaning up, much to his sisters' dismay. Marque and Raven watch, snickering at the little board game magnate. Karrde grins a bit and shakes his head and tilts his head, "They're in my Quarters..well my office. I usually sleep on the Falcon." he says as he nods, "This way." Violet nods and picks up her pace, moving a bit too quickly, perhaps. She's grinning all the way, looking around the place as she walks, and quite possibly getting ahead of Jack. "I just feel like I owed it to Raven... to do this in person, you know? Not just... leave a message, or even a live call. It seems important enough to say in person... even if it's more important to me than her, I'm guessing." Em wrinkles his nose... apparently that's a thing with all the von Tilsens now, as Aerial collects rent from him on one of her properties. "Don't look at me like that bro! That's what you get for playing Vader." Em, in his quiet as usual voice, says simply: "If only you knew the power of the dark side." Karrde hmms, "No argument there Vi. And I think she'd appreciate it." as the walk down the corridors he goes to make sure she goes to right way as best he can. And after a bit they come to the door, which he opens, "Hey gang." and he hears that comment from Em and he eyerolls, "....Last time he said that to me I wrecked his cybernetics and stole his lightsaber." he says with a smirk. Violet leans sideways into the doorway and into view, her hair hanging below her head. "Hey guys! What's happening?" Karrde looks at Violet, "She followed me home. Snuck into my 27 and everything." he says in a deadpan tone. The twins and Aerial jump up and swarm Violet with hugs! "VIOLET!" they all shout. Well, except for Em. He doesn't shout. Ever. Raven waves. "Hey guys!" Marque just nods. Violet laughs as her siblings suddenly swarm her. "Woah, woah, woah, calm down, guys... Aww, man, now you're gonna make me feel guilty..." And Jack, thankfully sidesteps the stampede. And he nods to Raven and Marque, "Hey you two." he says with a nod. And looking back at the scene of the kids and Vi he feels that stab in his heart again. 12 years taken from him. Doesn't matter if it was Arikami or Raven, the fact that he feels like a intruder here in many ways. And he steps back and looks at the table and the like, "Monopoly?" he asks with a lifted eyebrow. Rave chuckles. "Star Wars Monopoly. It's game night." she smiles. Violet tries to make her way fully into the room amongst the swarm. "Monopoly? I don't think I've played that one," she says as she looks over the board. "It's about being a hotel chain manager, right?" Em says quietly to Violet. "Why would you feel guilty?" Seems he's the only one who heard that. Violet laughs a bit nervously. "Ehheheheh... Yeah, well, if you wanna get straight to the point...." She sighs, now feeling cold feet a bit, not having been thinking from the side of family before. "Soooooo, you remember Alexa, right?" Rave laughs. "Something like that, Vi, but you have to build the hotels first. Em is Vader, I'm Leia, Aer is Luke, Lish is Yoda, Marque is Han." she nods at Violet. "Yeah, nice kid." she smiles. Violet says, "Yeaaaaaaaah, wellllll, sheeeeeee kindaofferedmetomoveinwithherandearliertodayIsaidyes." Karrde sighs and looks at Raven and the others, "Alexa asked if Violet could move in with her and Violet, being related to me is nervous about it and doesn't want to leave you all alone. So wants your blessing before she can." Rave beams at Violet. "That's great! Look, I've got these brats. I'm far from alone." she chuckles. " Go, be happy." Violet laughs a bit of a nervous laugh. "Yyyyeah, that's what everyone's been telling me! I kinda... said no initially." She looks down, blushing a bit from embarrassment. Giving an eyeroll Jack chuckles, "Violet. Listen....she said it's fine, so go for it. You need to be happy. Do something for yourself for once and don't let your own doubt stop you." Rave chuckles. "Why would you have said no? While I'll miss a live in babysitter... it's all good. Just don't have her start calling me Mom yet." she winks. Violet frowns slightly. "It... it was complicated at the time, I... it's..." She frowns, unsure of what to say, so instead she drops it. "Well, I won't control what she calls you, but something tells me she's gonna wait a little over nine months if she's gonna do that." Aerial wrinkles her nose. "Nine months? You two having babies or something?" Gotta love ten year olds. Lots of curiosity, no filter. Karrde blinks a bit at Violet, "Violet..is there something you wanna tell us?" he asks slowly. And one can almost see the gears in his head turning. And for some reason the gunnery crew is freaking out wondering why the weapons are coming online. Violet would have absolutely done a spit take if she'd been drinking something. That said, she still manages to have a brief coughing fit. "What?! No! No no no! Its, uh, jeeze, that'd just be our anniversary! We've been dating for a little under three months... and I'd mentioned one time that I didn't think people should rush to get engaged and I think I mentioned at least a year once and she later said something about wanting her security deposit on her apartment intact because she had a plan on something to buy next year and...." Yeah, she's blushing fiercely now. Rave grins. "Ooooooooh! How exciting!" she chuckles. Marque just smirks, but Aer and Li are obviously confused. Em has sat back down and is being his usual quiet self. Karrde grins a bit, "Kidding with you." Honest he was. It's a good thing no one can check the information or else his VF, the Millennium Falcon, and even the Athena's weapons would all be online. But he kills the commands and winces a bit as he rubs his temple. Violet pauses a moment to catch her breath after that mouthful of explaining herself. "Jeeze, way to jump to conclusions, guys..." Looking at the confused looks on Aer and Li, she quickly steps over to Raven and whispers to her, "Uhhh, do they... know what kinda relationship Alexa and I have?" Rave nods. "They do. They're not a stranger to it. Heck, they know about Ari's relationship with Skeeve and Miri. They're well aware you have a girlfriend." she chuckles, not bothering to whisper. Marque smirks. "Yeah, especially after I was reviewing the security tapes one day." Karrde chuckles a bit at Marque, "Nice move kiddo." he says with a chuckle. Violet groans and facepalms. "Damnit! I forgot about that..." Karrde looks at Marque, "...Let me guess, they were on the couch or something? Or in the cockpit of that old VF-1? Marque shakes his head. "The loft outside the front door to the living quarters." Raven can't help but snicker. "Don't worry, the trio of terror over there saw nothing." Violet groans and facepalms, mumbling under her breath, "I'm glad I stopped myself when I did..." With a sigh, she looks up again. "Well, now that I have been completely mortified..." Karrde grins a bit and chuckles, "....Happy to be of service." Said trio looks at one another, confused. "What did we miss?" Li asks. Aer shrugs. "No clue. Maybe it's one of those 'tell you when you're older things." Em just shakes his head. "None of our business." he says quietly. Violet sighs and flops herself onto a seat. "Well.... I've done what I came here to do, so..." She then looks to the trio and nods. "Exactly the case..." She then tilts her head, looking at Em. "You okay, kiddo?" Karrde says, "Much older..as in when you're..uh..old. Like Falcon old." he says with a grin. And Falcon's voice is heard from around them, "Jack..are you implying I'm old? I'm only a century young." she says in a cold tone. And yes, Jack freezes up and gulps, "Oh hell."" Rave snickers again. "Busted, Jack." she smiles. "She's got ears everywhere!" Em nods to Violet. "I'm fine, thank you." Karrde groans, "Yes..yes she does." and he winces, "And she's linked right into me so yeah." he sighs. "I'm getting a mindful." Lishra rolls her eyes. "He's just like really really really really really really really quiet. Trying to get him to talk is like pulling teeth! I mean, I'm glad Aer's around or I really wouldn't have anyone to talk to, and I really like talking! Like, three years ago, I.." she's cut off when Aerial covers her mouth. "Sorry, sometimes she likes talking so much she doesn't know when to stop." Karrde looks at Raven, Marque, and Violet, "I don't know where Lishra gets that from. I don't talk that much." he says with a shrug. And he winces again, "Correction: Only when I'm running a con." Violet nods slowly to the trio. "Alright, alright." She then turns to look at Jack with a raised eyebrow. "'Running a con'?" Em, Aer and Marque look at Jack and say, scarily in unison. "She got it from Aunt Ari." Lishra responds by licking Aer's hand. Aer wrinkles her nose in disgust and wipes her hands on her pants. "EWWW!! MOOOM!! LISHRA LICKED ME!!" Raven shakes her head. "Aer, don't cover her mouth for that long. Lishra, don't lick people." Violet blinks at the two sisters and then turns to Jack. "Maybe it's a good thing that I skipped that age?" Karrde sighs, "One thing you got to learn Violet, you have to be able to do a lot of things. I've had to fast talk my way into places and out of trouble so many times it's not even funny. Such as when Bean and I went on a trip to a Star Wars universe, we didn't talk Falcon." and again Falcon's voice is heard, "Yes, and that hurt by the way. You two used to take me on those trips." and you can almost hear the pout in her voice, and Jack sighs softly at Falcon's comment, "Worse than a kid." and he looks at the kids as they speak as one and just blinks slowly. Yeah, not creepy at all. And he looks back at Violet, "Between you and I, I wish you hadn't. I've have killed to be able to raise you." Violet frowns and looks down. "Sorry... I... Well, what is, is." Rave smiles at Violet. "You know my feelings on that. Still happy to be Step-Mom." Karrde looks at Violet, "Hey...none of that." and he goes to poke her nose. "...You turned out just like I had wanted. Strong, beautiful, proud, a fighter. I..." and he stops as he blinks a couple times, "...I couldn't ask for more and just wish I could have the time I lost back to see you become the woman I see before me." The trio start talking amongst themselves quietly in some language. Violet jerks back slightly at the nose poke, and looks back up with a smile again. "Well, I don't honestly remember a lot of it, myself, still. Honestly, I think I did most of my mental maturing in... the other universe." She lets the details on what universe that is remain unsaid. Rave sits back, watching the exchange between Jack and Vi with a little smile on her face. Karrde nods, "...Say no more. I'm just glad you turned out the way you did here." he says with a shrug. "Now if we can figure out what's wrong with your ship? We'll be good." Violet groans and facepalms again. "I swear, they keep finding so many bugs in it! Its getting so annoying... But at least they're finding them now and not when we start actually manning it... Last week the bridge accidentally vented its atmosphere." Karrde hmms, "If you want I can send some people over to check it over. A extra set of hands could come in handy. We have had some experience with Asgard Tech. The trio are still talking, rather rapidly. Violet shrugs. "It couldn't hurt. I'll see about getting it authorized..." She then frowns slightly. "Are you officially part of the NTSDF, or is your fleet a completely different entity?" She glances at the trio, then over to Raven, wondering what they're talking about. Rave shrugs. "It's their own thing. I think it's some mix of a bunch of languages, but they won't tell me." Karrde hmms, "Different entity. Due to the problems my..other self caused, it's blocked me from officially joining the NTSDF. But Mitsuo and I worked out a deal. Mercenary contract..we cover the frontier areas allowing her to focus closer to home. In other words..if say..the Wraith, Empire, or any of those sorts try to come here..they'll run into us. Karrde says, "Why else do you think my ships are geared with VF-24's and the like." The trio's conversation dies down, and Em walks up to Raven to whisper something in her ear. She responds in German. Violet nods to them both. "Well, I'll have to make sure your techs are allowed on my ship, of course, but if we're supplying you with fighters, I don't think there'll be any trouble." She shrugs. "But enough work talk, right? We're here as a family!" She then looks directly to the trio. "So I'm gonna have to ask you keep me in the loop of the conversations!" Karrde hmms, "Well...at first she did. Now we can make our own. But she did lease us a shipyard." he says with a nod, "It's in orbit around Laconis." he says and he chuckles, "Sorry..bad habit of mine. I spend years thinking work stuff, so yeah..got so bad Bean threatened to beat me over the head with my own lightsaber so I'd relax." Aerial looks at Violet. "Sorry! We will in the future." she nods. "Well, most of them, anyway." Violet nods and looks across the gathered group... and frowns slightly. She's still getting used to this 'having a family' thing, and isn't sure what to do now. "Soooo....." Em and Raven are still talking very quietly in German. Em looks concerned, and Raven seems to be trying to comfort him a little. Violet frowns, watching the two, but not saying anything. Em nods, and goes back to the other two, back to their own language for a moment. The other two frown. Violet looks to Raven, biting her lip slightly. She wants to ask what's going on, but she realizes that they're talking in languages she doesn't know for a reason. Rave looks at Vi. "Sorry about that. They like being secretive when they're worried about something involving someone in the room. Not you, though." she looks at the kids. "In fact, scatter you guys. Bedtime anyway." The trio whine, and Marque just shrugs as they start clearing out of the room. Violet frowns as everyone clears out of the room except her and Raven, even Jack. "Well... uhhhh... now what?" She looks from the door to Raven. Rave chuckles a little. "Sorry about that again. They were concerned about a few things, like, when this vacations over. You know, if we were ever gonna see him again. Which I honestly didn't have the answer to." Violet keeps the frown on her face. "I think... I think he wants to stick around. I think the fact that he left when I was younger is really hitting his conscience... and he's trying to make up for it. Are they... worried about me moving out, as well? I mean... they're worried about not seeing Pops, and then I go and tell them I'm moving out..." Rave says, "I know, but... he may not be sticking around.." she hesitates a moment. "With me. It's complicated, but we're not..."" Violet frowns. "Oh.... I... I see now. Sorry... I guess I didn't even... sorry." She sighs and slumps into a chair. "Damnit, I'm moving in with my girlfriend, I should be happy, not depressed about the family." Rave chuckles. "My relationship... or apparently lack thereof, is not your concern. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. You need to worry about you." Violet sighs and nods. "Yeah, yeah. I'll try to be amazingly happy in my life living in the same apartment as my amazing girlfriend who is almost frighteningly into me." Rave laughs at that. "Yeah, I'm sure it'll be totally difficult. I'll have to get you guys a housewarming present." Violet finally grins again. "Well, she's out getting some things herself right now... I think she mentioned plates specifically... I don't think I realized before now that she was using disposables." Rave smirks. "You were focused on other things." she chuckles. "Though if it turns out I'm still single, which I probably am gonna be, you'll both have to take me clubbing." she nods. Violet laughs and shakes her head. "I dunno, Alexa's not really into dancing, so I'm not sure she'd actually be up for that... But I can try to convince her." Rave grins. "Well, clubs have bars!" Violet seems to actually consider this. "Well, I'm not so sure she'd consider it fun to just sit there and drink while we go dancing. But we'll see when it comes to it what happens... But I'm totally gonna make the effort to help you out that way!" Rave smiles a little. "Thanks. I just.. I'm really lonely, and this wait for a decision.. I'm about to call it." Violet frowns and stands up again, walking over to Rave to hug her. "No matter what decision happens, you're family to me, okay?" Rave hugs Violet back. "And you can still call me Mom if you want to, regardless." she smiles. Violet lets go and smiles back. "Just remember. I met someone and people were making jokes about us getting married within a couple weeks. It can happen fast if it doesn't happen here. Don't worry about it too much... Mom." She clearly felt a little awkward calling Raven that, though. Rave chuckles. "You wanted to call me that, remember? Just leaving it as an option. You don't have to." She sighs a little. "I just miss having a partner in crime, so to speak." Violet outright grins, now. "Well, I'll do my best to fill that role! You might just have two of us more often then not is all!" Rave chuckles. "I appreciate the thought, but.. I mean in the romantic sense. I haven't had a relationship since, you know. A decade ago. Violet winces. "Oh, sorry... yikes... I can't even imagine a drought that long... I... I've not even been around that long..." Rave shrugs. "It is what it is, right? Didn't help that I saw my sister..." she takes a deep breath. "Nevermind." Violet frowns, saying nothing on the subject. "Don't worry. It'll work out." Rave shrugs and says without reservation. "Yeah, once she's dead." That didn't bother her at all to say. Violet says, "I'm not talking about that. Let's not talk about that." Rave shrugs. "It's whatever. It's not like it is a secret how I feel." Violet sighs and shakes her head. "I just don't want that dark a subject right now." Rave smiles. "Fair enough. You got warm fuzzy happy living with a girlfriend feelings to get back to." she winks. Violet can't help but grin at that. "Heheheh..... yeah." She actually squirms a little bit thinking about it. "I don't think I'd ever moved in with anyone like that before... I think... the longest relationship I was in was with Ilfe, but I only really just... I don't think it ever really felt this serious with her." Her smile mellows out a bit, though. "I just feel... awkward being up here now that... the reason I came up is done." Rave chuckles. "I'd send you back if I could, but my magic isn't that strong like that. | |
