Lee sits crosslegged on one of the padded station benches, tail curled loosely around to hang off the front of the seat. Lee wiggles their toes in the sandals while using superglue to assembles some small irregular beads of brown and gold material into hexagonal rings of six beads each. A pile of the finished ones accumulates in one plastic baggie (sitting atop the Jackson-Pollock-style tactical vest) while the baggie of raw materials empties.

It sounds like there's a bit of a commotion in the next car over, and that commotion seems to be getting closer! It comes to a height as the doorway passing between the cars(which very clearly is labelled 'do not open') is burst through by a fairly wild eyed young man. "Another one? Where the hell am I?!"

Lee looks up from their work, but doesn't look too worried about the prospect of sharing a train car with a crazy drunk. Lee looks around, as if for someone who was actually paying attention to the stops. "Don't think we took the trans-Pacific tunnel," Lee calls cheerily, "so probably still in Neo-Tokyo."

Ryoga actually seems slightly relieved by the news that they're still in NeoTokyo. On closer examination, he also appears to be completely sober. At the news, however, he turns to Lee and says, surprisingly politely, "Thank you very much... But I don't know where in NeoTokyo I am. I've never been in this building before... Do you happen to know the way to Furinkan High School?"

"Uh... not totally sure if this line runs by there or not," Lee admits. "I was just gonna ride until the route started over or somebody yelled at me t' stop taking up a seat." Lee grins and adds, "Also wasn't gonna go looking for another high school after escaping from one not too long ago."

Ryoga frowns and sighs. "Well, I might as well rest a moment, then..." With that said, he takes off his backpack and sets it on the floor in front of him before taking a seat. From the sound it made when it hit the ground, even lightly, it's actually heavier than it looks. Setting the umbrella to the side, he rummages through the pack to pull out some beef jerky to start munching on it. That's apparently when Lee's appearance registers to him, and he jumps up onto the seat. "Gah!"

Lee flashes Ryoga an encouraging smile and moves the vest over to their other side to make room for him. On closer inspection, those beads in the project are actually coffee beans roasted to various colors and coated either with clear sealant or a dusting of gold paint. But maybe Ryoga isn't doing a closer inspection just yet. As he thumps the bag down, Lee leans over (with a flop of feathers) to look curiously, looking about ready to make a quip about it before Ryoga shouts. Lee blinks and quickly looks out the window behind. "What?" Lee responds worriedly.

Ryoga blinks a few times(almost audibly) before he sits back down again. "Uhhh, sorry, sorry. I never can quite get used to the weirdness that is NeoTokyo." Now seated, he bows slightly in apology. "I've just never seen anyone that looks... well, remotely like you."

"Oh, gotcha. No problem," Lee says, relaxing as Ryoga explains. "Fortunately, I'm used t' pretty much everyone looking, at least remotely, like you," Lee smiles again, showing the oddly-marked and slightly pointy canines. After the latest round of glue sets, Lee puts down the project to lean over and offer Ryoga a hand. "I'm Lee," Lee says cheerily, "And you can ask anything ya want 'bout me or my looks, 's long as I get t' do the same."

Ryoga reaches over to take the hand, looking down at it with a bit of wonder. "Hibiki Ryoga," he replies as he shakes. The grip is firm and clearly strong. "I... well, okay... Did you always look like that, or is it a curse?"

"Good t' meet ya!" Lee says. Their body temperature's a little on the high side and skin and nails aren't exactly human, but that part's otherwise normal enough. "Yup! Well, pretty much. When I was younger, I was a shorter and less awesome-looking version of this," Lee replies with a grin, motioning a hand down their body. Lee then indicates the backpack and asks, "So you got a magic potion collection in there? Something t' cure tail-lessness?"

Ryoga blinks again, his face frozen as he's apparently caught off guard somehow by the comment about curing tail-lessness. "Uhhh, no, it's just my travel pack," he manages to get out.

"'s all right," Lee assures playfully, thumping their tail on the leg of the seat. "You're probably better off without one." Lee picks up the superglue and coffee beans again. "Pretty hefty size pack there. You going hiking after school? Or just like carrying around everything but the kitchen sink, like I do?"

Ryoga says a bit too quickly, "Yes. Yes I am," in response being better off without one. He looks down at the pack as it's brought up, then shrugs. "I'm not going to school right now, actually. I kind of... have to carry around a lot of equipment. It's a long story." >.>

"Gotcha," Lee says. They regard him curiously for a moment at his last comment, but then elbow their own vest full of pouches. "I carry around too much junk sometimes, but usually try t' pare it down to a mouth harp, basic set of art supplies- duct tape, enchanted airbrush, whatever bits of stuff I'm working on." Lee grins and adds, "Also gotta hand towel," (presumably a very tightly rolled one) "always makes ya look amazingly prepared when ya pull that out."

Ryoga nods a bit slowly at the list. "I just carry my survival supplies. I find myself in the wilderness a lot, so I like to keep myself prepared for not being in a city at a moment's notice. Bedroll, tent, umbrella, towel, travel rations, though I can usually forage for something... You know, the usual things someone would need out in the wilderness." The umbrella itself was tied on top of the outside of the pack when he came in, though is currently to the side as he'd reached into the pack earlier.

"Ooh, that'd explain the size," Lee remarks, nodding. "Dunno how you even carry all that 'round, never mind travel 'round the country with it. But the travel sounds pretty neat, and that ya know how to forage for food." Lee grabs a handful of the finished rings to stack them into a cylinder, then gives it a twist so the gold-painted bean in each ring form a spiral. "My natural magic can make a Refuge, which is kinda good as a super-portable trailer. But don't think I could set a trap for a wild blueberry bush if my life depended on it," Lee mentions with a grin.

Ryoga doesn't appear to get the joke. "Trap? You can just pick those... It's rabbits that I mostly set traps for. And other small animals... But really, I tend to just eat whatever's around."

"Definitely wouldn't get any berries, then," Lee remarks cheerily. His explanation gets a nod. "You ever trap pigeons and squirrels in the city?" Lee asks curiously. They replace the caffeinated cylinder in the bag and resume building some more rings.

Ryoga shakes his head. "In the city I'd rather get things the way most people do." He then stands up, putting the umbrella back on his pack before putting it back on his shoulders. "Well, it was nice talking to you, but I'd better get going again." With that said he walks right for the door and looks at it for a moment before prying it open and stepping out.

No, the train hadn't stopped yet.

"Gotcha," Lee remarks to his explanation. As Ryoga excuses himself, Lee gives him a nod and a cheerful smile. "You have fun, wherever you're off to!" Lee doesn't seem to think anything of it when Ryoga goes to stand against the door, but as he pries it open, Lee jumps up in alarm and grabs a handle.
