You step into a rather large area that looks like it may have been a warehouse at some point, but who knows? Now though, it is a rather packed night club with pumping music: everything from pop to heavy industrial. On the right hand wall is a large LED screen covering pretty much the entire span that shows abstract and some actual footage that fits the theme of the song playing at the time. In the wall on the opposite side of the room from the entrance is the stage, set up for live performances occasionally, but is usually not in use. To the left of the stage, up a short spiral staircase, is the DJ booth. In the center of the room is the large circular dance floor. It's a bit different, as above it rests a series of shower heads that is literally making it rain on the dance floor, soaking the rather happy patrons. As dancers exit the floor however, they step over a series of runes and immediately become dry again, as if by magic! To the left of the front door is bar that looks like a sine wave, and each part of the wave has its own bartender to tend to the thirsty masses. Catching your eye above the bar is a rather large figure of the mythical Kraken! Its eyes seem to glow red, and its tentacles swoop down to wrap around the bar with two hovering above the bar a bit, and attached to those two are the handles for the beer taps. No matter where you look though, a series of holographic fish of various types swim around and through things in time to different parts of the music.
Gonfei, having been let in, steps into the night club. Though it likely can't be heard over the music, he whistles at everything he sees around him. "Weeeeell," he says loudly, hoping per chance someone might hear him. "I know I was told about all this, but it's another thing entirely to see it all up and running!" He continues walking on towards the bar, looking it over as he puts a hand down on it. He knocks on it twice and nods with a tight smile. "Good," he says a bit more quietly this time. Ari looks down on the floor to check the fish are actually bopping in time to the music, and spots Gonfei. Being her, she doesn't bother with the stairs, but instead hops over the edge of the DJ booth and drops the story to the floor. Superhero landing! She heads over to Gonfei so she can actually be heard. "You made it!" she beams. "What do you think?" Gonfei turns to face her as she hits the ground and smiles back. "Of course I made it! There's enough staff at the UR to cover if I'm gone a whole week. There was no way I was going to miss opening night! You've been working on this for ages, right?" He gestures broadly with his right hand... slightly odd considering he's left handed. His hands moving to his pockets, he turns to look around the club once again. "It's really impressive, Ari. I gotta admit it." Ari grins. "Thanks! We don't actually open for a little bit yet, so feel free to familiarize yourself. I'm putting you in one of the middle waves because you have a clue what you're doing, and the outside ones are for the guys I had to get fresh out of bartending school. So.. may need your help with them." she chuckles. "The other middle one is for Tifa, who I hired to replace the jackass." Gonfei nods, her reasoning making sense to him. Then he blinks and laughs. "You know, I met her the other night? She told me she was a bartender and I guessed wrong that you'd hired her. Looks like I guessed right, afterall!" Ari laughs. "Only as of last night. Lee introduced her. She's gonna do just fine, I think." She points over to the far end of the bar under the DJ booth. "Don't forget that's where the booze cellar is if you run low. Get someone on the floor to refill you if you need it, try not to leave the place unmanned for too long." she grins. "Sorry, I'm in boss mode here." Gonfei nods, leaning back against the bar. "Yeah, she struck me as knowing her stuff. And don't worry about it, I've run a place myself, I know how it can get." Ari grins at Gonfei. "Yeah, I know, I just... Sorry, something else happened last night and I really really want this to go well. Kind of need it. Tifa steps in, peeking through the door first. Well, things are starting only later, but better to come in early to make sure all is ready. "Hey boss, how's things today?" Gonfei raises an eyebrow. "Something happen after Raven and..." He blinks, frowning slightly with a pause as he just realized he never caught a name last night. "...Her man showed up last night?" He spots Tifa at the door and waves to her. Ari chuckles. "Oh yeah." she waves Tifa over. "Hey! Just giving Gonfei here a heads up about what happened during the game last night." she grins back at Gonfei. "Okay, don't know if you know this bit, but Blade is my ex-husband. He and Raven have been together a week now. She's pregnant." She lets that sink in a little. "Yeah. So.. I kind of need tonight to go well to help me not think about it until the shock wears off. Cool?" Tifa nods "I got part of what happened there, thanks to your question, that's why I was surprised. Are you okay? Gonfei blinks in surprise. "Wait, what? I thought that was a joke when she said that last night!" Ari shakes her head. "They suspected, I confirmed. Yay empath with a quirk." she chuckles. Tifa walks over to the you "But are you okay with that? You seem shaken. Gonfei says, "I didn't think it was possible to t- ...Oh, empath? Not sure how they suspected it, though." He blinks again, then shrugs. He's gauging Ari's reaction to this more than anything else at the moment. "I'll ask more about the situation another day." Ari shrugs. "I'm fine. It's just.. .it's her second relationship and she falls in love and bam, pregnant. Plus twins run in our family. I have had.. more than two relationships, let's say, and hey look, not pregnant. Not even once." she sighs. "I'll be fine. Like I said, opening night, lot of buzz going around, so it should be a good night." Tifa smiles "Well it all relies on us to make it a good night, doesn't it?" She pats Ari's shoulder "You can count on me boss." And a voice is heard from everywhere and nowhere at once. "I should hope so." comes a familiar voice to Ari. And there, leaning against the counter is Frey. And she grins. "Like the setup Ari." the sorceress says with a grin, "Kraken..I like it." the flame haired woman says with a wink. Oh..and since I suck at descs, she's clad in a pair of leather pants, a black tank top, a black leather jacket and a pair of heeled boots. Gonfei nods with a slightly grim look at Ari's situation. "Well then. Let's make sure your baby here has a good first day in the world then, eh?" He offers a slight grin, motioning across the place with his left arm as he says the word 'baby'. Ari laughs a bit. "Yeah, yeah, alright. And no calling me boss. Makes me feel wierd. Ari is just fine. But if you ever find out my real name and use it, there will be blood." she grins, teasing, right? ...right? She looks at Frey. "Hey! Thanks! Few months of hard work and not being home often paid off." she chuckles. "Oh! Tifa, I'm putting you in one of the center waves of the bar next to Gonfei. The two guys on the outside are fresh out of bartending school, so since you know what you're doing, they could use the help. Plus it's easier for me to step in with them without getting in people's way." Gonfei nods in agreement to what Tifa says, then adds, "Good to see you've found work this fast, Tifa." He then blinks and looks over as Frey makes her appearance. He tilts his head slightly with a raised eyebrow, but says nothing just yet. Frey hmms and nods, "Well, looks good Ari." she says with a smirk. And she giggles, "Also, aren't you gonna introduce me to your employees?" she asks with a playful pout on her face. Tifa smiles and salutes "Ay ay Boss Ari." SHe kids, smiling. She blinks to the newcomer, but waves "Hi, I'm Tifa Lockhart." Ari rolls her eyes a bit an chuckles. "Okay, yeah, that's Tifa, and this is Gonfei, who mostly skulks about the Usual." Gonfei mocks a gasp and leans away from Ari. "Skulks?! Why you make me sound like an absolute villain!" He grins and nods to Frey. "Gonfei Thri. I'm now a double bartender." Tifa smiles "I didn't know this was your second job Gonfei, but I arrived at the right time it seems. Frey nods, "A pleasure, I'm Frey Lithra. I run a local magic shop down from the center of town, also I head up the Mage's Guild." and she gives Ari a look, "Mainly due to a certain someone, who is dating your boss, not wanting to deal with the paperwork." she says with a wink. And she looks at Gonfei, "He does seem to have a suspicious air about him Ari. We should watch this one." she says in a playful tone. Ari smirks. "Like I don't have cameras everywhere. And yes, Skeeve said he'd help, just not deal with paperwork. Can you blame him? I hate paperwork,and I've been drowning in it. Which reminds me, I need to hop downstairs and rotate some stock so we have the stuff I know is going to be popular up front. Back in a few." she bolts over to the trap door under the DJ booth and heads down to the booze cellar. That's what she's calling it, anyway. Gonfei smiles and nods to Tifa, then glances at Frey, then to Ari. "Actually, I've told Ari most of the pertinent parts of my past already. I mean, sure, I left out... a lot of details, but I think I can be forgiven for that." He looks back to Frey with another grin. Frey grins, "Gonfei, calm yourself. I'm just teasing. Tell me someone that doesn't have a story and I'll show you a very boring person." she says as she sits on a barstool. Gonfei laughs and shakes his head. "Aw, you're not letting me have any fun. Sometimes I just like to play along with the teasing, you know?" He walks around the bar to investigate the full stock that he has to work with here. "Certainly not as extensive as the Usual... but what is, really?" Tifa nods "I checked things yesterday, but it's better filled now. They tested me with a few drinks." She smiles as she moves behind the counter "By the way, thanks for the info." She leans to give a kiss on Gonfei's cheek with a wink. And Frey giggles as she watches the goings on, and she looks at Tifa, "Best be careful..some drinks, due to how this place is, are powerful. Never touch a Dwarven beer or Bloodwine." she says with a shudder. Gonfei, upon getting kissed on the cheek, looks the most surprised he's looked since the Usual actually had starfleet communicators for Nova. "Uhh... no problem. I aim to help," he says, a bit more seriously than he has been speaking since he's gotten her. That jovial tone soon returns, however, as he grins back at Frey. "I've seen plenty of people able to handle the dwarven stuff around here!" He pauses a moment before adding, "Actually, I think the night I first had Ari show up as a customer, she had both of those." Tifa smirks over to Frey "Well I'm not a big drinker, and I'd stay away from the hard ones anyway, so I'll try my best. Ari comes back up, tallying a few things on her PDA. "Okay. We're good." she pants. "I'm totally freaking out, too." Tifa nods "Well it is a big night for you, just take it easy, we're here for you after all." Gonfei nods to Ari with a grin again. "Of course you're freaking out. No one ever isn't freaking out right before opening a new business. If you were calm and collected, then I'd be worried." Ari nods. "Right, I know that, but still." she takes a deep breath. "I'll be either in the booth or on the floor pretty much the whole night, and if either of you need a break, tag me in, alright?" Tifa nods "We'll manage, don't worry." She smiles and moves behind the counter, starting to take count of the bottles and their positions. She also take a good look around at the other ingredients, and the fridge. This will take a bit to get used to of course. Gonfei nods to Ari as well. "I think I'll be all right." He grins once again. "I've gone a whole night without a break before." He takes his place behind the other middle 'wave,' giving a nod to both Tifa on his right and the other bartender on his left. "Ready when you are, Ari." Ari chuckles. "Alright, let's literally get this party started." she walks over to the doors and opens them up. Tifa smiles, as she looks to Gonfei "I'm thinking I should get some other outfits for this place too, what do you think?" She starts to serve the first customers that come for a drink, but many of them will be coming for the dancing and music too. She also pays attention to the trainee nearby. She never had classes for bartending herself, so she could learn a few things that experience along doesn't always tell you. Ari greets people as they come in, and when people are hesitant about the water falling on the dance floor, she walks into the downpour, gets completely soaked, then walks out completely dry, which encourages the people coming in. Gonfei grins and nods to Tifa with a grin. "I had some fun with it," he says before putting his attention on the customers. Despite all his talk of having tons of experience bartending, this is his first time actually doing it at a night club rather than a bar or restaurant. Still, he slips right into the role, sliding beers, mixing drinks with a flourish, and offering his best smile he can to everyone at his section. Ari takes a deep breath. "Okay! things haven't imploded yet, so that's good." she kind of says to herself, then gives a thumbs up to Tifa and Gonfei, partly to say good job so far, partly to show she still has her sanity. Ari is running around greeting people, showing off the magic dance floor, and trying not to lose her mind. Tifa smiles and thumbs up to Ari in return, showing her all is fine. She then keeps chatting with Gonfei between orders "Well I thought I should probably get a swimsuit since this is the beach..." She thinks "Hey Ari, is the club open at all during the day?" It's a nightclub after all, but it'd make more sense to wear a swimsuit during the day. Frey grins, "Don't worry, no explosions yet." she says with a chuckle. And she nods to Tifa, "My girlfriend's sister runs a botique. I can pass you their number to see what they have." she says as she gets a piece of paper and starts to right a number down on it. A holographic fish swims through Frey's head. Doesn't feel like anything, it's just light, but it does look funny! Gonfei nods to Tifa between customers. After all, there was that initial rush, then most people are on the dance floor, giving them some breathing time. "It'd probably make going onto the dance floor less inconvenient, too. I've actually got swim trunks on under my pants, to be honest. Just in case." He glances at Frey with her suggestion, then back to Tifa again. "Hey, see if you could turn it into advertizing for them, maybe you could pull off getting the swimsuit for free." Frey hmms, "That's a idea there. They usually model their own wares." and she blushes a bit and coughs, "I tried once..but well..once my girlfriend saw what they got for me. Well..." she coughs a bit, "...never again." Tifa laughs "I'm not a model, and I'm not sure me wearing those would help them sell them." She doesn't seem over conscious of her shape, not seen from outside eyes at least. Frey looks at Tifa and tilts her head. "Well..I'll say this, you will." she says with a appreciative nod. "Trust me on this." Ari heads over to Tifa. "Bottle of water please!" she grins, and apparently has worked up a sweat just trying to play owner. Tifa smiles, and leans behind the counter to get the bottle from the fridge "As cool as it can be for you, Ari." She grins. Gonfei says, "Yyyeah, I think you'd do fine, Tifa. S'why I suggested it, after all." And then he's back to serving another gaggle of customers that come up to his side of the bar. Despite being underage, Sae's managed to get into the club somehow! Snuck in? Maybe the bouncer didn't check her age enough? Maybe puppy dog eyes? Who knows! Point is, she's here and peeking around on her tiptoes, trying to see if there's anyone she recognizes! Seeing Gonfei, the school uniform clad girl heads over towards the bar, waving at everyone. "Hiya peoples!" Tifa lifts her shoulders at Frey and Gonfei "Well, if that's how they want it, I won't argue with free clothes to use at the bar, as long as I like them too." Gonfei raises an eyebrow as he spots Sae walking towards the bar, still in her school uniform, even. He sighs slightly and shakes his head. No need to check the ID on this one, she's clearly underage. Ari thanks Tifa for the water, and pretty much chugs the bottle. Probably nerves, but everyone seems to be having a good time so far. Sae is pretty ignorant of the age limit, at least. So as ashe approachs the bar she gives Gonfei a big smile, waving to everyone. "Hiya Gonfei! And.." she looks at Tifa and Ari, tilting her head. "Dunno you guys yet! I'm Sae!" Tifa waves to Sae as she bounces in like that. A bit young, but it's the opening night, can come for the dancing at least. "I'm Tifa." A roaring sound of a turbine engine is heard outside and in comes-- well, its actually a disembodied turbine engine!! "WHOAAAAA!!" What appears to be a muscled man wearing a space suit comes in riding said turbine engine as if it were a motorcycle and skids all along the bar tumbling all the way and finally sliding face first until he hits some chairs tumbling them over. Fortunately his precious cargo seems to be fine. Which appears to be a pizza box he's holding up with his hand. "Okay! I'm here! Who ordered the deluxe meatball pizza with an extra order of stuffed cheesey breads?" Frey blinks a bit at the new entries to the bar and...wait..is that a worm in a space suit? And she blinks slowly and shakes her head. "...I'm Frey." she says with a nod to Sae as she blinks at Jim. And she sighs. NeoTokyo, gotta love it. Ari smiles at Sae. "I'm Ari, it's nice to..." she gets interrupted by the skidding. "Oh come on!" she would roll up her sleeves if she had any, and heads to the new guy. "Nobody ordered a pizza, and no bikes allowed inside!" she says. Sae's ever the bubbly one, 'bouncing' in place by rising up on her tiptoes and lowering rather fast to burn off some energy. "Frey! Tifa! Ari! Nice to metchya all! What is this place anyway? A dance..place?" she questions, looking around. "And a bar?! That can't be safe!", giggling since she's clearly half-joking. Tifa also blinks at the sudden entrance. SHe got a feeling that one wasn't carded either! "Uhm, might be over there at the tables. Wait a sec." She moves over to the DJ booth, and announces the arrival of the pizza, asking for the one that ordered to come forward. Gonfei jumps back from the skidding, tumbling jet engine and yells out, "What the hell?" at nobody in particular... okay, maybe at the space man. He looks like he's about to go confront the man himself, but as Ari makes her way over, he desides to leave the situation to her for the moment, unless she clearly needs help. After a moment, he turns his attention back to the others by the bar, "Uhhh... Well, yes, it's primarily a dance club, but every good dance club has a bar, right?" Okay, he can't quite keep his eyes off the rocket-rider just yet. Its true! This is no man, but a worm! Or a mutant worm to be more accurate. It seems to be an actual giant worm with big goofy eyes and a mouth he uses to talk. "Say what!?" Not very articulate this one apparently. "What do you mean no one ordered a pizza!?" He picks himself right up and shrinks a bit as the blond woman yells at him for having his rocket inside the bar. "Whoa! Hold up there little missy, I got that covered!" Sure enough, Jim grasps the giant turbine engine and stuffs it in his pocket through what clearly are cartoon physics. Jim continues to look around motioning to the pizza. "Really? No one ordered one? Is this not Zeku Kerai Beach 203 63 and a third?" He blinks at the paper where he wrote the address. "Aw man, I hate fractions." Ari is about to say something rather angry when the rocket just... disappears... and she kind of stands there with her mouth open for a moment. "No, wrong address, now pick those chairs up." she points. Sae claps once and looks around some more. "Ooooh! So cool! Dance club! I was kind aexpecting a sushi place 'cause of Mister Tentacles.." she admits, looking around for said sushi, eyes landing on Jim! "UUuu! If no one else wants it, I'll eat it! Pizza's almost as good as sushi!", giving gonfei a 'peeeeer' like it's his fault that it's a dance club and not a sushi joint. It's just a kidding one though, making sure to smile in his direction just so he knows no hard feelings! Tifa apparently disturbed the music for nothing! Oh well, it distracted from the show in the center for a moment at least. She hms as she walks back to her spot "That's certainly an interesting one." Prince_Blade walks in as someone... makes a rocket vanish? He holds on to Raven's arm "Not sure what we missed here, but Ari looks like she's about to lose it." Rave blinks as she watches as well. "Oooh, someone's losing an appendage." she chuckles. "Yes'm!" Responds Jim to Ari, as the worm has always been quite grudgingly respectful of authority when he sees one. He does hate people that 'push folk around' but he's not one to cause random havoc for the fun of it and tidies up the chairs as he picks them up. When it turns out that he has indeed the wrong address, the space worm throws his hands in the air in despair. "Are you kidding me!!? Aww, man.. that's it, I quit!" He throws his delivery boy cap on the floor and stomps it. "Those stupid Pizza Cats were paying me chump change anyway!" The space worm looks at the school girl and blinks. "Oh hey Sae-- I mean, ma'am!" What? He doesn't know the girl by name! "Here ya go." And just like that forks the pizza over to the girl. Gonfei sighs and shakes his head before giving Ari a look that he hopes is interpreted as having her back if she needs the help. He then looks back to Sae again, then up at the kraken over the bar. "No," he says, "No sushi here, but I'll mention it to management. It actually sounds like a good fit here." He gives Tifa a quick nod before looking back out to Jim, raising an eyebrow as he just hands the entire pizza over to Sae. Ari just glares at Jim until the mess is clean. "Good." she says. "Don't do it again" she nods, content, and goes back to playing hostess/owner/frazzled half-elf. Prince_Blade chuckles, and moves away from Raven to slip behind Ari, and catch her light body with his arms "Look at that, I caught a bossy half-elf, those are rare in these parts!" Tifa smiles as she keeps taking care of the customers, trying to ignore the disturbance as much as possible. The Jim in quesiton seems to take lot sof space when he's somewhere! But he doesn't seem like a bad guy either. Frey is sitting at the bar, watching the goings on. No drinks for her, but that could change. And she looks at Rave and Blade and nods to Rave, "Heya Raven." she says with a chuckle. Sae does a twirl with the half-open pizza box, tilting it a worrying amount as she tries to get even more of her energy expended! "Thanks-" she stops mid-sentence, staring at Jim. He knows her name but..she's never seen him before? Blink. Blinkblink. She even looks down at her school uniform, half expecting for find a nametag on her blazer. Looking back at earthworm, she's completely still, peeeeeering and blinking. There's totally something familiar about him! "You remind me of my puppy! Cept you don't look anything like him! SUPER weird...", slouching abit since she does miss her puppy from Twisted, having no idea Jim is literally it. It's only a quick frown though, and soon the girl's going around to literally everyone around the bar, offering slices! Jim would take a lot of space too. Seeing that he's from space! Bad puns aside, the worm nods apologetically to Ari and rubs the back of his wormy head. "Yes ma'am, sorry ma'am." A real push over this one despite his massive big muscles and the fact he's apparently armed with some kind of futuristic gun. Said space worm boggles at Sae when she calls him a puppy and he sort of.. starts sweating, which is in reality how worms move fluidly through the ground but we don't need to insert actual physics into Jim who seems to be powered entirely by cartoon powers. "Me?? A puppy!? You're mistaken ma'am, I'm clearly a worm!" Yes, that oughta settle it. "Err, despite the fact we've NEVER met before and I totally have not been spying on you all this time disguised as a puppy. You mind telling me where I am if this ain't Zeku Kerai beach or whatever?" He asks of Sae. Ari eeps!! as she's picked up, then grins. "Hey! I'm surprised you guys came!" she grins. Rave just shakes her head at Blade and Ari, and smiles at Frey. "Hey! How are you? Having fun, I hope." she chuckles. Gonfei seems to relax a bit as it seems everything's going okay between Ari and the.. wormy looking guy for now. He puts his focus on the customers again, who, while initially keeping away due to the sudden jet engine, are now being lured back towards the bar by offers of pizza. Frey grins, "Oh..pretty good Rave." and she's handed a slice of pizza. "And yeah. After a few incidents, mainly getting Aoi back and the like, decided to close the shop for a bit to relax." she grimaces a bit, "I was becoming quite the workaholic." and she nods at Blade, "And who pray tell is you gentleman friend?" she asks with a looks back at Raven. Prince_Blade smirks "Why wouldn't I? I promised, and Raven isn't crawling around yet either. We'll see who she feels in a few months thought." He smirks and squeezes Ari a bit, before letting her go back to work when she needs to "Looks like things are jumping around here tonight, that's good! And you got your helpers. I met both of them last night with Raven, oddly enough. Sae blinks a few more times at Jim, head tilted...and completely buys his explaniation?! "Oh! Okay then! Well, for what it's worth Spaceman, you'd make a really good puppy methinks!", grinning. What a weird compliment! As more people shuffle to the bar, the schoolgirl continues handing out the pizza despite having not paid for it. "You're in Tokyo! Neo..Tokyo I think? It's a weird place! They've got ponies and orks though, so it's alright in my book!", giggling. She sticks out the pizza box in Tifa's direction, smiling over it at her in hopes of luring the woman over. Oh god, she's decided to make another friend and Tifa's the (poor?) target! Ari laughs, and as she's let go she gives Blade a hug. "Right? And they were all early! I'm so giving them a bonus for tonight." she chuckles, and yes, that was in earshot of the bar! "Ahuh, yeah sure.." Jim chuckles nervously as Sae doth declares that Jim would make a good puppy dog. The less he says about that the better, though its clear that Jim seems to be a little nervous around Sae's presence for some reason! Funny to see such a weird character weirded out like that. "Neo Tokyo?" Now that really puzzles Jim, he doesn't recall hearing that name. "And uh.. how close is that to say.. the TASK building?" He scratches his head, trying to find some point of reference. By this point though, Jim has snatched a slice of pizza for himself and is essentially following Sae around like-- wait-- like if he were a lost puppy! Clearly this can't be a coincidence! Rave smiles and actually blushes about that. "That is Blade. My boyfriend, and.. well, father of my unborn child." she chuckles. "Yup." Tifa grins "All too kind, Boss Ari~" She teases with that name of course "I wouldn't have missed the opening for any reason either." And as Raven says that, Frey's eyes widen a bit as that sinks in. And she slowly turns to look at Blade, her eyes narrowed and those close to her can sense the smell of smoke and steel. Like a forge in full burn. "Oh..really?" she says slowly as she looks the man over with a critical eyebrow. Uh oh..yeah, Raven and Ari should know how protective Frey is of family, and to hear that...yeah, she's not a happy sorceress. Gonfei gives a thumbs up to Ari as he absolutely grins at the customer ordering in front of him. He mixes the drink up for the woman with a flourish, and then by tapping the glass after setting it on the bar, he sets the shot aflame. Looks like someone ordered one of his specialties. "Of course I was early, Ari! I'd not've missed tonight for the world!" He pauses as he sees Frey's reaction, however. Sae giggles and nods! "Mhmhmhmhm! Neo-tokyo! And uh..limmy think." she mumbles, hmmming, then answering Jim with a "I think a couple if billion miles and a few wormholes?", head tilted. "Are you why they call them wormholes?", blinking dumbly. Space + earthworm must be connected to wormholes, right? Her ears catch something though, suddenly looking in Raven's direction. She runs over to the girl and sticks out the pizza box towards her. "Miss Miss! Do you need food for your lil one? Here!", sticking the pizza a bit more towards her, looking very insistent! Pregnant people should never-ever be hungry! Prince_Blade is almost feeling the burn from the back of his head. That's not a good sign, isn't it? He turns his head toward Raven and her friend, as he return's Ari's hug "You seems to be in good spirits at least, despite everything. Noone's tried to burn the place down yet?" Ari blinks at Frey. "No.. but I think Frey might here in a second... Come on now, Frey, it's all good, promise!" Rave blinks. "Um, no thanks, not really hungry at the moment, but I appreciate it!" she hehs, then turns to Frey. "Hon, it's alright, I swear. It's very welcome." she smiles, conveniently leaving out the fact that they've only been together a week... And Frey looks at Ari and after a moment, nods. "All right. But Blade and I should have a talk." she says calmly. And then Raven gets onto her and she sighs, "Can I at least threaten him Raven? You know..he hurts you or anything I can use him as target practice." and she points up and...HOLY CRAP that's a lotta blades..but thankfully they're vanishing into particles of light. And yes Raven, don't tell the Sorceress of Steel that, or else Blade will be learning to dance fast. The worm's jaw slacks, and yes, he does seem to have bones even though worms are supposed to be invertebrates. "Billions of years?? Am I in another dimension again!?" Well shoot, of all the rotten luck. "Uh.. maybe. I don't know actually, but hey, why wouldn't they be? We worms are amazing creatures." Despite his good mood, Jim seems distraught enough to stay quiet and pensive, letting Sae run around and distribute the rest of the pizza. Sae nodnods at Rave, but keeps up that insistent peer. Instead of argueing, she ends the matter by placing it down somewhere nearby. "Okies! Is there when you change your mind though, Miss!", filtering back over towards Jim to give the worm a symapthetic hug. "Mhm mhm! It's okay though! Everyone here is soooooo nice! Promise!", completely ignoring the violent conversation going on mere feet away. Gonfei, having gotten through the wave of people at his station, glances about at the other bartenders, offering an encouraging smile to Tifa in particular. He seems to be thriving off the different pace of the night club! Prince_Blade gives a kiss to Ari's forehead "Seems like it, I think I'm requested over there." He doesn't notice the blades... but his sixth sense said 'danger' for a while now, just not wanting to start anything in the bar either. He moves back to Raven, and bows to Frey "Greetings, seems you two were talking about me." Ari decides to stay out of it from here on out, and heads up to the DJ boot to start a set. Rave sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Alright, Frey, a talk. But be nice. I really do love the guy." When Blade comes over, she leans over and kisses his cheek. Tifa watches what's going on with Blade. Seems like he's in the middle of several girls, for some reason! Better to stay out of it though. She smiles to Gonfei "Pretty busy as expected from the opening night." Frey hmms and nods slowly, "Yes..we were. My name's Frey Lithra, a 'family' member of Raven and Ari's." she says to Blade, and she indicates a seat. "You and I need to talk..Blade was it?" she asks as she debates ordering, she feels she should now. "Gonfei..when you get a moment, can you get me a Knig beer. German brand please." and she looks at Blade, waiting for him to sit and then she asks him, "And you?" referring to what he wants to drink. Prince_Blade waves a hand politely "No drinks for me, not right now." He answers as he takes the offered seat. This may be serious, but he promised to tide every thing one at a time, whenever it happens. Ari watches over the dance floor, playing some rather fast songs. She grins, hits a button, and the rain in the middle of the dance floor turns to... bubbles! Rave heads to the opposite side of the bar, leaning over to Tifa. "Could I get a sprite mixed with grenadine, please?" Gonfei nods again at Tifa, keeping his grin. "A good sign, I'd say!" He then nods to Frey before looking below the bar for a moment to find a bottle of the type of beer in question. He pulls it out of the cooler and slides it over to Frey. "Here ya go." Tifa smiles to Raven "Oh, you're Ari's sister, aren't you?" She remembers the picture! She nods at the order, and makes sure that nothing alcohol comes in contact here, just in case. She readies the drink "At least we don't only serve alcohol in here." sliding it over to Raven. "Is Blade going to be okay?" Rave grins. "I am! You must be the one she hired to replace the jackass." she chuckles. "And he'll be fine... I hope." she smirks, grabbing the drink and taking a sip. "Oh, perfect!" Frey hmms, "Right. Saying this now Blade." and she takes a drink from her beer. "Hurt her, we'll have words. She's a good friend, and she's been through a lot. She doesn't need any more pain." she points out calmly. "So..that's it, one warning. Hurt her, you answer to me." Prince_Blade crosses his arms pensively at that "I'll tell you the same thing that I have to Raven. Let's be realistic, some strife will happen one day. It's how we tide it together that counts though. We promised each other to talk it out, not simply walk and never look back. I will hurt her, it will be an accident and I will be sorry for it. You know that battles exists because two sides think they are right, that's just human nature. If I hurt her willingly, then I will also believe that I was right into doing it. But that also means that I will expect you to come after me at that moment. You, Ari, Skeeve, and just about everyone else she knows." He smiles, and points at Frey, and then at his own temple "I know, will remember it, and will do my darn best that we never get to that point, because I care for her and everyone around her too." Tifa chuckles "I heard the story of the one I'm replacing, yes." She puts her hands on her hips "I'm not here to babysit you, you should know better than coming behind the counter." She pffts, deflating her chest from her impersonation "That's pretty insensitive way of thinking, even if you don't know the reason." Rave nods a bit. "Right? It was extremely rude, and good luck finding good employment with an attitude like that. I've seen Ari be a boss before, she's pretty good!" she smiles, sipping her soda again. "Fair, just don't piss her off, you know?" Tifa nods "I thought she might be hiding something too." Tifa is no slacker on that side either, but it's hard to tell just looking at her normally... except if you know what you're looking for, since she has some martial training. "I'll try not to give her a chance to show me." Gonfei pays attention to the talk in front of him, though says nothing. There's an intesity to it, an almost promise of violence to come that demands his attention, though he's well aware that such violence won't happen tonight. Still, the chatter to his right elicits a light smile. Really, how could someone be that dumb on the first day of a job? Ari is just rocking out in the DJ booth, apparently having a blast! It's about time she had some fun! Rave grins at Tifa. "Good eye. She and I were assassins back in our homeworld. She was the hand to hand, I was the sniper and gunfighter. Which is why she didn't hire too many bouncers." Tifa nods "Hand to hand huh? I can't say I'm not curious of seeing her technique though, but I guess I'd rather not see how good of an assassin she can be." Gonfei quips back to Rave and Tifa, "Yeah, not that much need for a lot of bouncers when you've got two ex assassins and a former bounty hunter on staff, right?" Rave grins. "Oh, she's one of the best. She really does love the blades, too." she nods at Gonfei. "Well, given my current condition, I don't think I'm gonna be able to help if something goes down. Well, I could still shoot something, but... you know." Ari is in the DJ booth, rocking out to the music as she switches the bubbles back to a downpour on the dance floor. Frey nods, "Fair enough. I know no one is perfect. So.." and she takes a drink from her beer. "...go kiss her and love her. And never let her go." she says with a grin and she takes another drink from her beer. Prince_Blade smirks, and extends a hand to Frey "Living a cloud is nice, but I have a long enough life already to know how innacurate that is. But I will take good care of her as much as I can." He stands up, and as he was ordered, he moves behind Raven, and leans over to give her a deep kiss. Surrounded by bubbles, magical right? Frey nods as she takes Blade's hand and gives it a shake and she grins as he moves off to kiss Raven. Well, that worked out. And she sighs, a bit. Maybe things are looking up for her little family, Saints know they need it. So many endings, they need beginnings. Gonfei whistles at the sight. He glances around, hoping someone caught that on a camera better than the security ones. It looks like a scene they'd want to remember. But then there's another customer, and he's back into professional mode again. Rave blinks as she's suddenly kissed, but soon happily gives into it, blushing rather fiercely. After it breaks, she looks dazed for a minute with a goofy grin. "So, you survived! Thought I was going to be a single mom again." she winks at Blade. Ari is totally recording it with a bird's eye view. Because it's what she does. Tifa grins at the two "That's a nice sight though." She sighs a bit wistfully. Prince_Blade chuckles "I wouldn't let myself be taken down so easily, but then there might not be much of the nightclub left if that happened. A holographic school of fish, bopping in time with the lead vocals of the current song, circle around Gonfei for a moment before heading back into the dance floor. Frey grins and calls out to Raven, "I said talk..I wasn't gonna do anything Raven." she blinks a bit at Blade's comment, "Oh...them's fighting words there, thinking I couldn't take you." she says with a giggle. Prince_Blade smirks "I never said you couldn't take me, just that I wouldn't let myself go down, which means there might hve been some damage. Gonfei watches the fish circle his head with a smile, then looks to Frey and Tifa in turn. "I think they're going to be just fine." He frowns as Frey and Blade keep talking combat, though. Sure, he's done more than his fair share of fighting, but this just doesn't feel like the place for that conversation to him. Tifa nods to Gonfei "Looks like it for me too. God knows noone is perfect." Rave shakes her head. "Fairly sure if there was any damage here, Ari'd would stab you both repeatedly." Frey hmms, "Point there. But then, I prefer to not fight if I can help it. I'm much more happy behind a counter." and she grins at Raven, "Raven, you know my body is made of blades after all." she says with a playful wink. Ari's set ends and one of her other DJs takes control of the deck as she hops over the side, hitting the floor from the one story fall. She heads over to the bar, smiling. "So! We done with the threatening, then?" Gonfei smiles and nods to Ari. "I certainly hope so, at least." Prince_Blade chuckles "I'll be careful of your place Ari, promise. Ari points to all of them. "Oh, you'd all better be careful. It took me months, damn near by myself to redo this place, and if any of you, and I mean any of you mess it up, I will kill you." she points to Frey. "I WOULD FIND A WAY!" She narrows her eyes as backs up onto the dance floor, shifting her eyes between them all. Tifa eeps, and takes a step away from Ari. Gonfei looks at Ari for a moment, then says with a grin, "As long as you only kill me once a month." Frey blinks a bit at Ari and grins, "No more threatening. As I said Ari, I'm not a combatant. So don't worry." But then, she can fight, just prefers not to. Rave chuckles. "She's joking, sort of. She's under a bunch of stress, so grain of salt and all." Prince_Blade hms. Quietly to himself. And then he shifts subtly so he's behind Ari again. Hands go to her hips. And tickle! Ari eeeeeeps!! and laughs, curling into a ball as she's tickled. "Gah! Quit it!!" she says between giggles. Prince_Blade grins "Can't, too serious." Rave finishes the soda and pouts a bit. "Can I get a refill, Tifa? Thank you!" she smiles. Tifa smiles "Of course~" She chimes as the serious mood was broken down. She quickly readies the refill, while the dancing is going on nonestop. A dude with blue hair in a ponytail takes a look into the door way. "...looks like a good opening," he murmurs to himself as he continues his way in. Ari is now pretty much a laughing ball on the floor. "I... will... kill... you!" she almost cackles. Gonfei shrugs once more as a few more customers come up, and he takes care of their orders well. He keeps slipping in and out of his habit of staying out of conversations around him between other people, it seems. Prince_Blade grins as he finally stops, and pulls Ari back up "No more threats we said. Rave takes the soda and smiles. "Thanks!" she takes a sip, sighing rather happily. Ari wrinkles her nose at Blade as she stands. "My house! I can threaten all I want" she says, crossing her arms like a stubborn kid. A holographic eel, rather long, is slinking along the dance floor in time to the bass line in the song. It curls around Blade's arm a few times before disappearing back into the crowd on the dance floor. Prince_Blade picks up Ari with his strong arms, and flops her over his shoulder "Now now little lady, that's not a nice way to receive your guests." He gives a light tap on her bum like that, as if he was going to spank her. Frey blinks, "Blade..quit picking on the owner. She can toss you out of the place if she wants." Rave snickers at Blade. "Honey, be nice." she says simply. Ari, on the other hand, is scowling. "I'm sorry? Do ex-husbands count as actual guests?" she chuckles. "At the very least I can threaten you all I want." Gonfei may be out of customers for the moment, but he's staying the heck out of this sitation now. This is the kind of interaction best not touched with a ten foot pole. Prince_Blade smirks as he plops Ari down in a seat "Then no pouting at least, hm?" Frey blinks a bit and looks at Ari, "Wait..wait.." and she nods at Blade, "He..is your." and she nods at Ari, "Ex-husband and now dating." and she nods at Raven, "Her..and knocked her up." she says with a slow blink. "Ooookay..." she says with a slow nod. Well, she can't say much, if Raven's happy then fine..but still, the mind boggles. Rave smirks at Frey. "Want to make a flow chart?" she chuckles. "It actually gets a bit more complicated than that, but that's another story." Ari laughs. "Fine, I won't pout for the rest of the night, but that doesn't mean I don't get to be all nose-wrinkly." She does, in fact, wrinkle her nose at this. Prince_Blade chuckles "Ex-husband of ovre 10 years ago, you know what happened with this place. Didn't see her in that long, and she has a new boyfriend. And the sister needed some warmth, things happened. It's not like we staged any of this. Neither did we plan on a pregnancy already. Gonfei says dryly now, "No one ever plans for a pregnancy that fast." It sounds like he might have had that experience himself from that tone. Rave chuckles. "Well, no, we weren't expecting it, but I'm definitely warming up to it." she smiles. "Besides, Frey, Ari's the one that pushed us together to begin with. Tifa is definitely listening to all of this. That's all news to her! "Well as long as everyone is happy, I guess it's all that matters in the end, hm?" She looks over to Gonfei "Uh oh, that sounds like a painful story." Ari nods. "I'm pretty happy!" she smiles. Gonfei sighs and shakes his head. "Yeah, no kidding. I probably wouldn't have minded so much if she'd ever told me about it before my daughter was thirteen years old." Yeah, there's definitely a sore spot there. Frey sighs, "No charts. Lord knows nothing can be simple. I had to jump on Arikami last night." she says with a sigh. Rave takes a sip of her soda, raising an eyebrow. "What? Why?" Ari nudges Blade in the ribs. Because she can. Aforementioned bluenette dude suddenly approaches Frey. "Sooo...how's the 'store' here beautiful?" Prince_Blade smirks and give Ari a squeeze around the waist. Frey looks over at the blue haired dude and grins, "Lancer. I was wondering when you'd show up." she says with a grin, "And not a store..a club. Sit and have a drink." she says with a easy grin. And then to Raven, "Because, she like so many others was convinced the Karrde we got was the one we used to know. Moved into the Athena and everything, didn't ask or anything." she sets down her now empty beer and signals for another one. "...She was being selfish and not taking his thoughts into account." she sighs a bit and hmms, "Raven, is the current Jack Karrde the one we used to know?" she asks calmly..like a teacher posing a question to a student. Rave rolls her eyes. "Hell no, and don't get that condescending tone with me." Ari leans against Blade and grins. "Okay, I got about another two minutes on break and then I gotta roam the floor again." Tifa hears a new name, so that's a sign something is going over her head! They'll talk about it when they want to tell her, she guesses. She hmms as she handles some more of the customers meanwhile, and checks on the trainees as well "Everything good here too?" Frey grins and giggles, "Sorry, I get like that when I'm making a point Raven. My apologies." and she sighs, "Well to her, he was. She didn't see he was different. Just staked a claim." she hmms, "So I had to explain it to her that she was pushing him away and ruining any chance she has. Prince_Blade chuckles "Then you can use my embrace 2 minutes more before I release you." Gonfei reaches under the bar and pulls another knig out, sliding it to Frey again. The new guy on the left is holding his own, the one on the right (Tifa's side) is getting a little bit of a crowd. Tifa goes to help him out, with a little hip bump "You got this." She grins as she gives a hand to serve more rapidly, thinning the crowd effectively. "Well of course it's a club Frey, I meant how's the place's collection of drinks," Cu wonders before he finds a place to sit. Ari sighs in mock-exasperation. "Okay, fiiiine." she chuckles, playfully nudging Blade in the ribs again. Frey grins a bit as she nods to the stool next to her, "Well..little bit of everything. So pretty good." and she holds up her second german beer. And she hmms as she takes a drink from it. And she hmms a bit. "Oh..Jason's back in town." she says with a chuckle. "And as usual, he got himself in trouble." Gonfei glances over at Tifa's station. Thankfully, with her not there, people tend not to go to her station. The line on the new guy's station thins down, and he exhales in relief, thanking Tifa profusely! Gonfei chuckles slightly. "Does Jason know how to keep himself out of trouble?" Well, he's taking a guess that they're talking about the same Jason. Rave finishes her soda and frowns. She stands up. "Hey, I think I'm going to go take a nap in the employee lounge. I'm tired all of a sudden." Ari smirks. "Oooooh, pregnancy nap!" she chuckles. Tifa ruffles the trainee's hair, smiling "You don't need to thank me, we're all in together, you can always call out when you need a hand or someone to cover for you." She smiles to him, and moves back to her spot. Prince_Blade smirks "Let me help you over then, dear. Ari is about to get back to work anyway, right?" He grins at her playfully, moving to help 'mommy' over to the back room. She might not be bloated yet, but the attention is still offered. Ari says, "True!" She kisses Blade on the cheek, and goes back to roaming the floor to scout out any issues and greet people." | |
