Short Description: A young human guy with a scar over his right eye. He has black hair with grey streaks that are styled in some sort of upward, slightly curled tendril. One eye looks red, while the scarred one looks grey. The most identifiable part of his clothing are a reddish purple scarf and a black long coat
He's wearing a black long coat (it goes about 3/4ths the way down his legs) with a white lining at the collar and a red lining further down. It's left arm has a lot of metal clasps on it while the right one is sewed up around about the elbow. The guy's right arm below the jacket is covered in bandage that seems to be sealed off with a chain with a red gem attached.
The shirt under his coat is a white one that is left open and easy to miss as it is mostly hidden by the coat. Under that shirt is a white t-shirt with a reddish purple cross on it's front and it is tucked into his black pants, which are held in place with a black, silver buckled belt. His black boots are a little over half way up to his knees and have several black 'belts' on them that also have silver buckles. Aside from that he wears, thick, simplistic, silver rings on two of the fingers of his left hand, and a yellow, dangling ear ring on his left ear.
Fighting Skill?: While his general physical prowess should be nothing to write home about, he has proved to be able to hold his own against foes that should be beyond the average human teen's ability.
Possibly dark arts?: It keeps looking like he can use magic, (he predicted that someone was hiding their true name, the possible animal summoning, the fact that his auras and magical circles and other such things might not just be in his head) but it's never really a thing that's been made certain.

Background
Gundham Tanaka was born from some form of unacceptable pairing. It was unacceptable enough, that the rest of his family (aside from his mother) treated him with scorn and hatred. He was treated this way so much that he truly came to believe that he must be some form of foul, unhuman, tainted existence. His school life didn't fair much better as he had no luck making friends and wasn't comfortable with being touched either, causing him to further distance himself from others than he already had been. Gundham's mother was the only person he liked and who treated him nicely. Due to all this he came to insist that she was an angel and that his father was a demon.
In time Gundham did find one other place he could be comfortable and feel accepted. That place was among the school's class pets. He continued to constantly care for and befriend the animals as he grew up, eventually revealing him to have enough skill with animals to be accepted into Hope's Peak Academy during his high school years. Hope's Peak Academy was a school that only accepted high school aged children who were the best in varied talents. He did rather well there in the beginning...
In time, through the efforts of a new teacher and his class mate, Chiaki, Gundham and all the rest of the class became friends. However, an incident happened that caused their teacher to disappear and they all went on a mission to rescue her. The mission was actually a huge failure, however, as it was all a trap to lure them into the clutches of Junko Enoshima. Under the ensnarement of Junko, Chiaki was killed in front of her entire class as they were left helpless to do anything and brainwashed into following Junko's whims.
The class went on after that, known as Ultimate Despairs and eventually outlived Junko, and becoming re-titled as the Remnants of Despair. In this state they murdered thousands upon thousands of people, starting with their own love ones. Gundham's methodology happened to be sicking armies of deadly animals on unsuspecting people. After some years, however, the Remnants were finally defeated and, while they were meant to be sent to judgement and death, they were rerouted to Jaberwock Island.
While on Jaberwock Island all of the class were put into a machine that put their consciousness into a digital program. This program was being used in attempt to rehabilitate them from their brainwashed state and ease them back into their normal lives as much as possible. However, this program was hacked by Junko Enoshima, who turned the project into a killing game. After several murders the class was trapped in a fun house with no food to eat and they wouldn't be allowed to eat until someone was murdered. In attempt to keep the class from starving to death Gundham and his classmate Nekomaru decided on having a duel to the death. Gundham won and was punished with execution.
While Junko attempted to use the situation to rewrite the 'empty' bodies of everyone who'd died with her own data, the remainders of the class managed to defeat her. After this everyone was released from the program and the survivors spent some time discovering how to save all their 'empty' class mates. Exactly as this process was finished the class was alerted to a situation happening outside of Jabberwock island.
Due to the importance of the situation, and the fact it involved a long missing class mate of their's, they worked together with the remains of people from another killing game, saving the entire world from falling under a brainwashing meant to completely make them void of things like desire. This was followed by the class taking initiative and broadcasting a faked announcement to the world, in which they took the blame for the latest killing game, making themselves out to be the villains and clearing the name of the organization that would come to be lead by the survivors of the other killing game. Thus, saving the world but doing nothing to lift their obvious state of being enemies to the WORLD, they went back into hiding on Jaberwock Island.
