| Summary: The EVA girls face a new angel, and meet new Allies, including a strange EVA. Who: Natima, Asuka Langley Soryu, Rei Ayanami, Nanoha, Sakura When: May 27, 2016 Where: The Badlands   |
Worn, the streets and buildings of this area have seen MUCH better days, dust and dirt and scorchmarks muddying up what was once a brand new coat of paint several years ago. Now this area is far from new, the walls of the surrounding buildings covered in cracks and sometimes missing altogether, the roads in much the same condition. No useable debris can be seen, useable by badlands standards, anyway. Large slats of metal and wood are non-existant, hauled off long ago to patch up other buildings, metal beams and mechanical components whisked away to be melted down into more important things. All that is left are mounds of rubble on the streets, small bits of plaster and brick stacked as tall as a man's head in some places. Continuing north, east and south, the roads branch off and lead into various areas of the worn and battered city, the border walls still visible to the south while to the northeast the tops of skyscrapers can be seen rising into the sky. To the west a low rumble can be heard throughout the day and night, the steady crash of waves against the 100 foot cliff-face that marks the western border of the badlands. [!] From deep within the Badlands, an explosion erupts, blowing a column of light high up into the air that looks vaguely like a cross. Meanwhile back at the NTSDF Base: Asuka is outside, answering questions of two fanboy soldiers. She was already in her plugsuit as she was going to officially move her EVA unit so it could get the hook up on some make shift power connectors and then the sky lit up and the ground shook a bit. She looked in the direction of the cross rising up to the sky with a gasp of shock. "An angel!?" Asuka says, "Well don't just stand there you idots! Get whatever that battery thingy is you want to hook up! That's an angel! What is that place!?" "That's the badlands Miss Soryu. Nothing but trouble comes out of that place." One of the soldiers says before sprinting off to do as the red haired goddess commands." [A second blast erupts from the Badlands, followed shortly by a third, each one getting a little closer to the main city. Meanwhile back at the NTSDF Base: Asuka hmppphed. "Badlands indeed." She then ran to her EVA, jumping up in the hand and running up the arm and climbing up into her insertion plug. Asuka pages, "ON COMMS: Where are you wonder girl!? We got an angel attack? I'm waiting for this idiots to finish hooking up the auxiliary battery back crap they developed on short notice! This thing better not blow up on me!" to you. Asuka pages, "ON COMMS: Hey! Don't go charging off like you are all gung ho heroic! I don't need you trying to get killed and stealing all the limelight! Do we have any information on this angel yet? Come on! You guys are too slow damn it! NERV would already have the info to us!"" to you. A fourth explosion goes off, and an ominous low tone can be faintly heard from where teh explosions originated. Meanwhile at the Base: EVA-02 waits as the heavy lifters raise the battery into place and attach it. A blue and white aircraft streaks overhead, passing over Evangelion Unit-02 as it's prepped. "This is Lt. Souta Miyashiro, NTSDF." The male voice comes in over the comms. "What's the situation?" He asks as he banks the Gaia Gear, sending the machine flying along the edge of the wall in an arc as he scans the ground below via sensors and his own eyes, scanning the line of explosions in the distance. Meanwhile back at the NTSDF base: EVA-02 activates her external comms, "Beeilen Sie sich, ihr Idioten!!!" She sounds irritated. It's taking too long to get the power attached and she didn't like that captain's assessment of 'two more minutes' The crews are having trouble getting it in place. Asuka gets annoyed and growls in frustration. She activates her EVA with it's 1m37sec remaining. She reaches back, careful not to kill anyone and grabs the battery pack and shoves it into the socket like a pro. Her timer resets to 15m! "GOT IT! EVA UNITS MOVE OUT! REI! YOU LEAD!" Unit Zero takes the lead, marching out through the gate through the wall and out into the badlands. An odd object seems to be , well resting, or waiting, amidst the rubble and smoke and dust. It looks like a large sphere, attached partially to a half dome that hovers above the ground. From either side of the upper half are 2 long round ribbons, or arms of some sort, pointed at the end, that all four just idly flit about. Inbetween the eyes on either side are a set of 3 gem looking object, a pair of smaller blue diamond shaped ones, and a larger orange colored oval one between them. Around the bottom of the half dome are some 10 or so small red looking sections, that seem to be faintly glowing anf humming, possibly what is keeping the thing it's controlled distance above the ground En route: EVA-02 moves out behind Rei, snatching up her rifle that had been reloaded for her. "So what do you know about these badlands Wonder girl?" Unit Zero plods rapidly forward. her own rifle held at the ready. Rei replies through the coms. "It is a described as a place where universes meet. Usually the bad places." The Gaia Gear follows the Evangelion Units, keeping at a high altitude to provide overwatch at the very least. Sounds like they're focused on chatting amongst themselves and ignoring his communications. That's fine. As far as Souta's concerned he'll stay up high for as long as possible to get as much information about what that thing is as he can. As the massive, rounded sphere comes into view there's a slight narrowing of the young man's eyes. He can feel it, sense some kind of output from the thing, creature. He closes his eyes, trying to cut himself off from the nascent psychic feelings he's receiving through the Man-Machine's Psycoframe. Meanwhile, still En Route: EVA-02 keeps running behind Unit 00 about 50 yards back. "Isn't that where you dropped in? Heard the soldiers talking about you arrived. Figures you'd come out of a place called the badlands!" She snerked. Unit Zero is silent. apparently Rei is not deigning to respond. The thing moves ever so little, putting itself out into clearer ground, as the 2 small blue gems on each side get closer to teh oval one, then separate back out, as it's arms wrap around it's upper half, the gems like objects on the one side turn to face the general direction of where teh Eva's are approaching from Unit Zero has arrived. EVA-02 has arrived. Unit Zero arrives at the scene, rifle ready, the cyclopean head, turns to watch the angel as the pilot tries to figure it out. EVA-02 split off some distance back, to move off to the right, placing her bright red angel killing machine on a 90 degree off axis from Rei. She looked at the angel through the scope of her EVA sized assault rifle. "In position Rei! That thing looks weird! Weirder than usual!" Unit Zero offers a one word agreement. "Indeed" No sooner does the second EVA stop moving, than the red gem flares, and the angel sends blast towards both Evas. Unit Zero leaps forward into a roll, attempting to clear the blast radius of the attack. If successful, as it comes to it's feet, the Eva will fire off two shots from the 'rifle' with the caliber of a 15 inch naval gun. EVA-02 was expecting the angel to go Rambo the second they arrived and spreads her AT field out and does a combat roll to the side which crushes a bunch of abandoned buildings along the way. "HA! Fiesty aren't you!? Nimm das du Arschloch (Take this you asshole)!" She fires a 5 round burst from her battle rifle dead center on the Angel. The Angel shifts to one side, avoiding one set of rounds, the others clipping one of it's arms which have come out and begin moving around, now one of them significantly shorter Unit Zero marches forward quickly, Firing twice more on the move. Again the single eye and head move about, looking for signs of the angel's core. EVA-02 rolls around in an almost breakdance like maneuver and flips back up on to it's feet, running around the Angel and maintaining the range to target, using the ruined buildings for partial cover as she moves, firing short controlled bursts between each building as the angel becomes visible. "Be careful of those arms! Remember that one angel that could slice entire buildings apart with one flick!" the angle takes the tips of it's arms and folds them up ro down, and begins spinning the around it's core, shielding its gems from direct attack as the one along it's base flare, kicking up massive amounts of dust and debris, as the rounds either deflect off its AT field or do minimal damage to it's surroundings, and a small crackle appears in the sky a short distance away. Unit Zero pauses and takes cover behind a building. The gun at the ready but not firing again. "Analysis?" the pilot asks. EVA-02 is oblivious to the crackle in the sky and is more interested in trying to see if there is a timing pattern she can take advantage of to snap shot through the whirling arms to try and hit one of the gems. the Angel's gems shift form side to side, taking potshots at the areas the Evas are in, as the crackle grows, lighting just arcing in midair with no discernable point of origin or destination. Unit Zero ducks as a shot comes close, then pops out and takes a carefully timed shot at the angel trying to get a direct hit either on the arms or between them. The EVA then ducks back under cover not waiting to see the effect. Again the single-eyed head scans the sky but there is no more communication over the Coms. Rei has realized there is no base command here. EVA-02 combat rolls to the right barely dodging the beam attack. "Oh just give up already! You're going down you just don't know it yet!" She gives a battle cry and goes full auto on the angel, raking it back and forth in hopes the mass of fire will weaken the AT Field enough for her to get close and personal with it. The angels' AT Field shimmers with each round that hits it, the field slowly contracting, growing closer adn closer to the main body as teh crackles grow a bit more, and a blue and purple vortex opens in the middle of teh air, swirling with teh crackling dancing around it. Unit Zero appears encouraged by the shrinking AT field and adds more fire to the mix. a pair of shots, then another pair. A pause occurs at the EVA again looks at the strange atmospheric effect, then four more shots in rapid succession. EVA-02 transmits, "I Don't like the looks of that! Damn it! Where is Misato when we need her feeding us info on whatever the hell that is up there!?" She ejects the first clip and slaps in a fresh one and keeps moving between buildings, laying down a barrage of accurate center mass fire. Unit Zero responds "Affirmative. This is... difficult." The angel continues to contract it's AT field as the vortex opens up and a streak of green hurls towards the ground, kicking up a large pile of dust, and from the the dust comes a sound of pure rage, a howl or anger and rage as the cloud clears revealing one very berserk EVA Unit 04. It's color emerald Green with slightly faded colored piping, it's mouth open, in a very offensive stance, the umbilical cord severed on it's back, with an odd emblem and the letters BAKA on it's shoulder blades as it rear back and howls in anger, looking side to side with it's head as it catches a sight of the Angel. Almost as if a comical counter point, a moment later a flatbed truck with a similar emblem on it's door and a wire spool of some sort on the bed falls from teh now closing vortex, landing on it's wheels a short distance behind the greem Eva. EVA-02 quickly locks on to the green EVA and watches the truck fall. "Is that .. another EVA unit!? Or another angel!? I can't tell if it's pattern blue or not! Scheisse!" Unit Zero stops as if the pilot is momentarily stunned. "That IS...odd". Then it returns to firing on the known Angel "One threat at time Asuka." The Angel wastes no time in throwing blast from it's backside at the new threat. EVA Unit 04 only growls as the incoming shot easily deflects off it's AT field, as it's shoulders open up, ejecting a pair of prog knives out, which are caught as the Eva powers them up and rushes forward with no care for anything else. EVA-02 switches her aim back to the Angel since it looks like this new EVA she's never seen is on the attack against the Angel. She blazes away with her battle rifle and snaps sharply at Rei, "I know what I am doing wonder girl!" Unit Zero changes magazines and pours fire onto the angel, firing as fast as the trigger can be pulled. "It looks like a Berserk EVA. The markings are unfamiliar" The Angel's AT Field is almost fully pulled in as the rounds are taking their toll, more pieces of it's flailing arms fly off, of course, not stopping it from trying to kick up more dust or fire off more blasts. EVA Unit 04 gets into melee range and flat out lunges it's blades into the Angels At field, making some headway, really gouging up the arms as the Angel fires off a point blank shot, throwing the Green demon back some ways, the knives being blown out of it's hands and away from it as the Eva gets back to it's feet. EVA-02 runs out of ammo and out of magazines so she flicks the weapon up to release the bayonet on the rifle then one arm vaults over a building and charges full speed with her own battlecry shouting out over comms as the sharp point of her rifle bayonet leads the way! Unit Zero still has a magazine left. It's quickly switched in and nearly as quickly emptied. The angel continues trying to kick up dust, dodge bullets and spin it's arms around it's body to deflect damage as it takes shots at the charging machines. The driver of the flatbed truck apparently finally comes too, and tries to get his truck started and the FRELL out of the way of whatever he fell into. EVA Unit 04 finally returns to standing, and narrows it's eyes, disconcerting coming from a berserking EVA, as it's shoulder opens up one more, dropping a pointed rod into the waiting had below, the rod extends out into an Eva size lance, the tip discharging a single small crackle of lightning as the Eva readies it's next attempt. EVA-02 dodges left, then ducks under and does a final leaping spinning jump, swinging the point of her bayonet around hard to smash the sharp tip into the AT field with all her might, focusing her on AT Field on that point of impact. Unit Zero also charges forward. Rolling and crouching to dodge any blasts directed it's way. The EVA finally comes into contact, AT Field to AT field and tries to rip it open while bringing the rifle in from a high port to use the butt end as a club. FEEEEP! Rei's system announces that she has 5 minutes of battery time left. 4:59..4:58... A soft crackle comes across the communication lines of the EVAs. "*crackle* He-*crackle crackle* synchronize with their *crackle*-cast frequencies." It's a woman's voice. "Raising Heart, try- there we go! This is First Captain Takamachi, TSAB, calling to allied... mecha? I am approaching your location to assist in your engagement. SITREP requested, over." Probably not even a spot on the radar is a auburn haired girl with pink angelic like wings flying onto the scene with what looks like a plushie leading the way, she doesn't have any sort of way to communicate the way Nanoha does, but is following her here. The Angel's AT field shimmers near failing from teh bayonet charge and rifle assault. It tried to use what is left of it's arms to bat, grab, or otherwise immobilize the weapons but it is ratehr difficult. EVA Unit 04 takes a moment and then begins to run toward the angel, building up speed. EVA-02 slams the bayonet repeatedly against the AT field until the tip snaps off finally. Asuka is heard growling over the comms in frustration and anger. "SITREP IS I AM PISSED OFF!" She slams her fists into the weakened AT Field, focusing her own to try and bore through the weakened field and then pull it apart with her EVA's bare hands. RAR! Unit Zero drops the rifle and presses up against the angel's field, Hexagonal lights flash as she tries to mate the fields and neutralize the angel's. On the Coms frequency Rei's voice says "All units I am attempting to Neutralize the Angel's AT field, be prepared for an all out attack once this barrier is down, Target is the angel's Core." Unfortunately she doesn't explain her terminology or describe what the core looks like. Sakura-chan keeps a eye on Unit-02's attack, she's not able to communicate with the other people, so she goes for her usual response for a giant monster, "Make me a size comparable to the giant monster, BIG!" as she slams a card with her wand, the wings vanish from her back and for a moment she seems to drop, before a moment later, Sakura and all that she's wearing is the size of an Evangelion, another card flies from her cardpurse as she calls out, "SWORD!!" the card also vanishes and her wand would take on the form of a rather ornate sword, and she prepares to assist the attackers. "...Duly noted." Nanoha glances at Sakura as the pair of pink- winged magical girls streak through the sky, the coms window hovering before her as they approach. "Best if we stay above the fray... Raising Heart!" "BUSTER MODE!" There's a click as her staff's head shifts into a distinctive, tuning-fork-shaped configuration. Nanoha aileron- rolls as she increases altitude, then comes to a halt. There's a thrumming as a pink sphere of light forms at the tip. Nanoha narrows her eyes and takes aim as a pink HUD glows before her eyes, the familiar report of her cartridge system cracking in the air. "TARGET LOCK ON! LET'S SHOOT IT MY MASTER!" "DIVINE BUSTER EXTENSION!" A torrent of pink light surges forth, slicing through the air towards the Angel. The Angel makes one last ditch effort to pulse it's field to throw it's attackers off, beginning to spin it;s entire form, kicking up more dust as the pink beam from above distorts it's field, pushing the hovering angel closer to to the ground. EVA Unit 04 reaches a certain point and leaps into the air in an arc that will take it right down atop teh Angel, as it shifts itself in midair, bringing one end of the lance to bear, a shimmer can be seen almost drinking from around the Eva itself, as teh tip of the lance begins to glow brightly as it rapidly descends toward the angel and its attacking dogpile. Sakura-chan gets the idea and sword in hand, knowledge imparted from the card on how to fight with said weapon, she charges for the monster, aiming for wherever Unit-04 is with its lance. Unit Zero is pushed back but recovers quickly enough, lunging forward again as the angel starts to spin. attempting to reach in with both hands The EVA aims to grab the angel. "Asuka, the new EVA! Hold the Angel Still." EVA-02 pops her Progressive Blades from their shoulder mounts and brings them in an over head downward swing to smash them into the AT field and hopefully through so the blades can dig into the Angel's body and slow or stop it's spinning to allow the rest of the Angel Beat Down Brigade to finish this ugly bastard off. The Angel can hardly move, but it keeps trying to. EVA Unit 04 comes bearing down, the glowing tip of the lance easily slicing right through whatever was left of the Angel's AT Field, skewering it like a kabob, the glow vanishing as the field re-asserts itself over the green EVA should the angel try and go explosively postal. Report after report cracks in the air as Nanoha loads a few more cartridges from the magazine. The Divine Buster crackles, then expands, the torrent of pink light widening and intensifying into a pillar of rose-colored doom hammering down on the Angel. Sakura-chan's eyes narrow, she pours more power into the sword, willing it to cut through the monster's shields and core, the sword is said to be as strong as Sakura's will, so lets hope its strong enough. She attempts to slash at the monster again, aiming again for where the other attacks were aimed, while trying to give everyone a clear shot as best she can.. Unit Zero holds on for dear life trying to pull the angel's arm away from its central body. The EVA backs up a bit to achieve this and also give the other attackers more room for their attacks. EVA-02 sinks the blades in deeper, sparks showering everywhere as she does. She growls as she uses sheer will to try to hold the Angel in place, "Would.. you.. just.. DIE ALREADY!?" the Angel's arms stop flailing as it falls to the ground, all the gems beginning to give off a bright glow as it's main form is peirced and the various attacks are now slicing it apart. Nanoha 's voice clicks in over the comms. In addition, a little window pops up in Sakura's peripheral vision. "I'm not exactly sure what that thing is, but are those gems supposed to be glowing?" EVA Unit 04 just roars and leaps backwards pulling the lance out with it, landing on it's feet, with one hand steadying itself and the /other holding the lance as it staes at teh dying angel. Unit Zero backs away and over the coms announces "We need to destroy the core or withdraw. The Angel appears ready to self destruct." Sakura-chan looks over at the screen then towards the monster, "Thats never a good sign..." she backs away then over to the other combatants, she mutters, "I'm going to feel this in the morning... " she calls out, "Become a barrier to protect us, SHIELD!!" as the card vanishes at the touch of her wand as it changes back from being a sword, a large pink dome about the size of a city block would form around her and anyone in her general area, that ends right before the angel, she calls out, "WHEN IT GOES UP, RUN INTO THIE SHIELD!" hopefully the EVA's can hear her. EVA-02 withdraws it's knives and stores them back in their holders and she backflips away in style and then finally notices the HUGE girl. The face she makes if one could see her now is purely a WTF face but she still slides through the shield barrier. The Angel does go ballistic, letting off the full contained power it held, exploding outward with a force that will elvel just about anything the isn't AT field or similarly protected. Well, that was certainly useful. The Divine Buster cuts out as Nanoha dives down through the air and slide into the shielded area. "Raising Heart? Any estimate on this shield's power level?" "SCANNING..." The Device chimes. "SPELL POWER RATING APPROXIMATELY SS+ CLASS..." Sakura-chan grips her staff with all her might, pouring all her will and heart into the shield, her magic draining at alarming rates for her to hold off an explosion of this magnitude and of this much area, but she's powering through it as best she can, she remains standing and focused but isn't really talking, because she's focusing on keeping the shield up. Unit Zero didn't make it to the shield and is bowled over, tumbling head over heels for a couple of city blocks its own AT Field showing the Hexagonal stress marks of being under assault, but apparently not breached. EVA Unit 04 makes no motions other than to stand up and take the brunt of the shock wave, not even flinching. Looking at it...you might think it would spit if it could, as the dust settles, it collapses the lance, returning it to the shoulder blade it came from and begins looking across the horizon. Nanoha looks up at Sakura, then lifts Raising Heart and flicks it towards her. Ribbons of pink light swirl up to Sakura as she transfers magical energy over to the giant girl, supplementing her output. Sakura-chan's eyes go wide as she feels a supplemental magical power flowing through her, the drain is far less, and she pours it on, till the blast ends and she colapses 'The Shield' back into card form, then looking over to Nanoha and grinning broadly, "Nice teamwork!" then over towards the mecha, "Is that it? Is it over?" Sakura-chan does attempt to go over and try to help Unit-0 to its feet if possible, that must be a sight, a huge girl trying to help a giant robot stand. EVA-02 is protected by Mega Sakura's shield with the energizer mecha backup power supply. She was more than willing to let someone else get blown up for once. She then turns her EVA to face the green one. "Pilot of the green EVA unit! Identify yourself immediately!" Unit Zero gets up. The EVA doesn't spurn Sakura's assistance but hardly needs it. FEEEEEP anounces the internal systems. 3:00...2:59... EVA Unit 04 just growls at the other Evas, and fixates on a direction, and begins walking towards teh city. Oddly enough as it walks away, it takes care to avoid anythign left standing, as if not wanting to cause any damage that is avoidable. Sakura-chan hmphs, "Is that any way to treat your friends and teammates? Meanie! You come back here and appologise! They put their life on the line with you! post." Nanoha says, "...You know, fighting giant monsters is a lot easier when you have a giant robot on your side. Who knew?" She dismisses the Divide Energy spell and turns her attention to the comms window. "Could one of you patch me through to your commander?" Sakura-chan smiles up at Nanoha, "You did great! Without you I don't think I could have kept the shield up as long as I did, Being big doubles the amount of mana my magic costs too..." EVA Unit 04 just continues to walk away, ignoring everything, even the flatbed that is trying to follow behind it as it makes a more or less bee-line for something in the city proper. EVA-02 redeployed her progressive knives and shadowed the EVA as it moved. "Get on your feet wonder girl! This EVA may be all screwball like that last one. We don't have a commander right now! Just follow us for now if you want to help! This EVA may be beserker or infected! To the pilot of the green EVA, I say again, respond! You are heading toward Neo-Tokyo! Identify or you will be engaged!" She huffs.. engaged by nothing because the JSDF is in kind of suck mode at the moment on her EVA and Rei's are running lower on power. Nanoha says, "...Also, is -that-," she points at the retreating green mech, "supposed to be going into the city?" Unit Zero moves to stand in EVA 4's way. Repeating Asuka's demand "Identify Yourself". She also takes time to reply to Nanoha "We are...lacking a commander at the moment." Nanoha says, "...Answers my question." Nanoha readies her staff and shoots off towards the retreating EVA, a bright pink contrail trailing behind her. "Sakura, move in as well, but try not to engage in direct combat..." Sakura-chan nods and was already en route, as embarrassed as she is that anything below here might be getting a show, she runs at her top speed to assist the others, but staying back from attack range like Nanoha suggested, her mind running through the cards at her disposal, she has one thing she can do if it comes to it... EVA Unit 04 makes no motion to stop, and continues on it's is straight path, avoiding damaging any buildings or property as best it can, apparently not concerned about power. Nanoha says, "Sakura, do you happen to have anything that could slow that thing down?" An extrapolation of the errant unit would show among other things, the Talikihongan Temple would be in it's path. EVA-02 follows not really wanting to tangle with another EVA without more weapons and she's a bit worn out from that fight. Then she notices the EVA is actually avoiding crushing things and is going out of it's way to follow paths that keep it from doing so. "Rei, this EVA looks like it's going some place specific and it's going out of its way to not damage the environment." Sakura-chan nods, "WINDS, BECOME A BINDING CHAIN!" as she strikes another card as it would vanish and a giant beast that for a moment looks like a giant pink etherial bird would appear then vanish and chains of solid wind would attempt to bind unit 04's legs and arms. Unit Zero's pilot has one eye on her count down timer. "Perhaps it would be safe to allow it to proceed?" EVA Unit 04 is slowed, but growls, and continues to make slow progress, it's eyes getting a little brighter. Unit Zero's pilot adds. "And what is that smaller vehicle?" Nanoha blinks at that. "Smaller vehicle?" EVA-02 continues to follow, noting the chains. Asuka speaks through the external speakers, "Hey... you.. giant ..magic.. girl.. person.. I can't believe I just said that... let it go. Don't agitate it just yet. It's heading somewhere. We'll follow it closely." Unit Zero stops to pick up the rifle. Then for Nanoha's sake points at the actually rather big, truck that appears to have once been tethered to the Green EVA and following in it's wake. Sakura-chan nods greatfully and releases Windy from unit-04, her other option was going to pretty much have her calling on ANOTHER element card at the same time, she steps back and allows herself some recover time while just supporting 'The Big' as she defers to the experts, but follows them just in case they need backup, "The strong, silent treatment isn't cool nor does it win you friends ya know..." EVA Unit 04's eyes go back to the previous dull glow as it proceeds on it's way... Nanoha frowns. Now that was something she -should- have noticed before. Why was there a lorry hanging around a giant robot battle? She descended quickly, flying down and matching speed with the truck to try and peek inside the windows of the cab. The truck is moving, the driver looking very weary and tired, but none the worse for wear, just grumbling about silly pilots and wanting to be back home. Kero-chan alights next to Mega-Sakura's head, looking more like a gnat when compared to her, "Yeah, this one's worse than Yue ever was... Least he spoke when he was being moody..." EVA-02 transmits, "Rei, I think there is a pilot inside. They may be unconscious. I think this EVA is working under it's own power maybe? It's just weird!" Unit Zero follows, the pilot still watching the power timer. "It appears to have once been plugged into the power supply. Unit Zero notes the trailing severed cord and how it matches the end sticking out from the truck. "Mobile power supply?" EVA Unit 04 makes it's way through the city, slowly, carefully, doing little more disturbing some animals, knocking over a traffic light, and disturbing some plants until it comes to the outer gates of the Godesses Temple. It looks down at teh temple, and slowly goes to 1 knee, with a finger very carefully, and with some difficulty traces a letter U in the nearby disturbed dirt, and just begins to wait, looking at teh front door...as if waiting for something. EVA-02 comes to a stop a ways away. "Looks like it's stopped at that temple over there. Okay. This is officially weirding me out!" She looks at her timer. "Almost at the point of no return here too." Unit Zero having carefully followed the other EVA much of the way, also stops. "I don't think it means harm. and...we are out of time." Sakura-chan slumps a bit and she returns to normal size as 'The Big' returns to its cardpurse, and her angelic wings reappear before she falls to the ground because of her mass shrinking, "That took alot out of me, I.. I'm heading home, I'm with Nanoha though, I want to hear all about this.. This was a weird night... At least Oblivion stayed away... Nanoha says, "We should probably notify the authorities about the giant mecha currently sitting in the middle of Tokyo..." Which authorities? Did this place even have authorities? She glanced over towards Sakura. "I can handle a debriefing if necessary. Go rest." EVA-02 opens up a channel to the NTSDF. "Okay, we have to pull off target. Get some military around this EVA and keep people away until the pilot emerges or it goes nuts. We have to RTB!" Sakura-chan nods, "Ok, keep me informed..." and she turns and flies off back into the city, towards Tomoeda.. Unit Zero says, "Captain Takamachi. You can find us currently at the NTSDF ground base." To Asuka it is said "Affirmative. NTSDF or NTPD should be notified." Nanoha says, "Roger that." Pause. "Um... not to sound like an idiot, but... where is that, exactly?" Nanoha says, "I literally just arrived today, so I'm a not exactly familiar with the area." Unit Zero rattles off an address, it also happens to back onto the badlands. with it's own gate in the wall. For which in point of fact, the EVAs are headed. EVA-02 transmits with a sigh, "Dummkopf...." Nanoha says, "Roger." Nanoha performs a sharp bank and shoots off in that direction." | |
