Gold Dragon flies through the skies above the badlands looking for Tre,,,a way home. Perhaps she's been hanging out with Lina too long.

Wandering over the ground in the Badlands, there is a young man in city clothes. Today, he is out here in search of the things he is looking for and hopefully nothing too hard to handle while he tries to obtain experiences, not like he can just rely on the Kahn to get fights for him.

Korra arrives to the Badlands as well, not dressed in her sailor fuku uniform for a change. She's in her usual attire, blue sleeveless tanktop and blue pants with her eskimo jacket wrapped around her waist. The Avatar comes astride her ever loyal polar bear-dog Naga, and she surveys the horizon with a steely gaze. A dragon flying above, and a young looking man wandering about. Looks like this place really is full of adventure and danger after all. Its high time she took part on it as well.

It's a beautiful day in the Badlands.... not a cloud in the sky, just that one dragon. In the immediate area... there isn't much to be found as far as life activity, however. Sure, there are some smaller animals rummaging through the ruined city, but it seems there's no more intelligent or interesting life than those that Korra had spotted from her vantage point. Hidden on the other side of a large factory, quite possibly visable from the air, is what seems to be a single humungous, grey, furry forearm, fairly cartoonish in its chubby proportions, whose three fingered hand seems to be covered in mud. An arm that is being cautiously approached by a red-haired woman carrying a greatsword.

Gold Dragon banks and sails the air currents, How? anime physics shhh. Craning her long neck Filia blinks her giant blue eyes at the warrior and the arm... curious, she decides the circle in and watch. the pink bow on her tail ruffles in the breeze of her passage.

On the one hand, Hisako's been targeted a couple of times by Sentinels now (and once by a Terminator) and she's not terribly keen on the idea of getting attacked while she's out on her own and potentially far away from any allies. On the other hand, she wants to get out and train to a degree that Titans Tower just doesn't have the facilities for - mostly practicing getting her psionically-projected armor as big as it can go, because even without Sentinels, giant robots (and giant enemies of giant robots) are a pretty consistent thing in NeoTokyo. So she's been hanging fairly close to the wall and practicing with her armor; she's in her regular X-Men uniform, mostly dark gray and dark blue with some gold trim. She's spotted the gold dragon flying around; she may not have spotted the others yet - although with the dragon starting to circle over that cluster of ruins, Hisako armors up, steadies it around 10 meters' height, and starts 'jogging' in that direction ...

Archene, unaware of certain things, simply continues to wander about, almost aimlessly given that he changes direction a bit every minute or so. He glances up briefly, noticing a dragon in the sky, given that the sky really only has a dragon in it. It is the first dragon he sees around, but sadly, it isn't close enough for him to have a good look at it. Maybe that is a good thing, never know if a dragon is of the friendly kind after all.

Equally unaware of important things happening in her surroundings, Avatar Korra urges her trusted steed forward and into the vastness of the Badlands. Seeing that there doesn't appear to be anything happening at the moment, she goes towards she can see and makes towards the wandering Archene. Her eyes too are up towards the dragon, ever wary that it might swoop down to try and battle them, though it seems too far up in the distance to notice them. Thinking that she's on the clear, Korra raises a hand up to Archene and waves. "Hey there. Great day for a stroll, huh?"

The red-haired woman in the pleated and plated miniskirt is clearly curious about this large, fluffy object. She reaches out with a hand tentatively to poke at it once, then twice. "Huh," she says. She then pokes it a third time... which was apparently a mistake as the forarm starts raising up into the sky as its owner is awakened. Soon, its massive head erupts from the ground, sending the red-head flying backwards as the ground beneith her explodes... wait, head? That arm is attached to the thing's head, apparently... and yes, it has another... it in fact appears to be a massive rabbit bipedal with hands on the end of its ears, which it uses to pull itself fully out from the ground. It turns to look at the stunned (not in a physical sense. Really, wouldn't you be in a surprised stupor after seeing this thing come out of the ground in front of you?) woman and lets out an ear splitting squeel before attempting to just step on the woman with one of its feet. The woman, for her part, manages to just barely dodge getting crushed as she dives to the side.

Gold Dragon says, "Well there's something you don't see everyday." A she banks closer, losing altitude. "Or so I would like to say. But it's the badlands. Eventually you see everything." Circling even tighter the Dragon orbits the 'rabbit-thing' and the fighter. Aparently pondering what to do next."

Archene seems more surprised with Korra's steed than the dragon. Dragons, those things you hear on legends, her steed was something else though. In the least, it seemed like a special breed of giant dog. Given its owner's friendliness, Archene waves back with a smile, "Hello, hello." He takes a look at Korra before replying, "It is quite a good day, at least, nothing bad has happened yet." He smiles again before introducing himself, "I'm Archene Night, by the way, it is a pleasure to meet you miss-" He is timely interrupted byy an ear splitting squeel, which makes him look towards the factory, seeing the... ... ... rabbit, may it just be considered a giant rabbit, "And hopefully, this won't be anything bad thing." He looks at the person he just met, wondering if she also had come over to the Badlands for things like this, or if she was more of the treasure hunter type that avoided needless combat.

Hisako can't see much of what's going on, but she CAN see the ... rabbit? Whatever that actually is - 'some kind of monster' is the closest she's got at the moment, but she's not making any assumptions. What she *is* doing, though, is running faster. And just keeping her armor in motion at this size isn't bad training in its own right ...

Korra beams a friendly smile back to the boy with the pleasant attitude. "Korra." She says by way of introductions, just in time for Archene to be interrupted by the giant.. bunny? Appearing in the distance and issuing that ear splitting shriek. Korra is defenitly the fighter type and though she hears plenty of strange things happen here in the Badlands, something as monumental as that is worthy of investigating. A true bleeding heart like Korra can't leave very well alone unless she's sure no one in the area needs help. "Monkey feathers! Spoke too soon I guess." Curses the Avatar making Naga move forward towards the direction of the giant bunny. She slows her pace however, giving Archene a side long glance. "Hey." She hails Archene. "I just met you, and this is crazy. But come fight this giant bunny with me maybe."

The red-headed woman is currently focusing entirely on NOT BEING STEPPED ON at the moment, but that doesn't keep her from shouting at the giant rabbit-thing. "Oh, come on, all I did was poke you a few times! Do you have to react this violently?!" Inwardly, though, she knows she's in trouble... Sure, if she had the rest of her travelling companions with her, she thinks she'd have a good chance of taking this thing down... but now, on her own? It's all she can do to keep from getting squished! Not even enough time to attack or cast a spell or anything! And speaking of that giant rabbit thing, it seems quite intent on continuing its assault! As the red-head gets farther, it jumps into the air to try to land directly on top of her! It's really only the fact that she's focussed so much on dodging the thing that she manages to avoid this.

Gold Dragon makes up her mind, the big 'monster' definitely seems to be the aggressor while the human is only trying to get away. She folds her wings and plummets directly for the ground, before she hits she flares them out again to making a swooping pass low over the monster. A yellow ball of energy forms in front of her open mouth and then from it streaks a pink beam of destructive energy, strafing the ground and anything else allong her flight path. Which is aimed to cross over the monster but away from the crunchy beneath it's feet.

"Glad to meet you Korra," Archene smiles up at her, letting out a quiet chuckle before answer, "You are so forward, but I must say I never fought a giant bunny before." With that he proceeded to.... watch the dragon attacking the rabbit, "While I may not be of much use! We should hurry, else by the time we get there we won't have a rabbit to fight." He chuckles a bit before he begins to jog by Naga, speeding up should it speed. (But hopefully not too much... he can run relatively fast, but certainly not as absurdly as some beings around this place. Just very very fast for a human.)

That's good enough for Korra, always eager to sway wanderers to the path of righteous butt kicking! So what if sometimes she puts other people in danger by forcing them to fight for justice? That's all part of the fun! "Alright! Let's do this!!" Passionate fire builds in her eyes as her fighting spirit is rekindled and Naga takes off running!!.. though of course, she wouldn't leave Archene just there scrambling trying to keep up- that might have been a good opportunity for the boy to back up and escape this conflict! Oh no, Korra is making sure Archene tags along. Which she does by reaching over to pull him up by the back of his shirt and sits him on Naga's back right behind her. "Hold on tight!"

Hisako finally makes it around the side of the factory, coming up behind the monster - or at least, hopefully behind it. "Hey!" the young mutant calls out, the energy field that forms her 'armor' brightening from orange to yellow and seeming to grow more intense. "Instead of trying to stomp on somebody, how about picking a fight with someone your size?" And with that, she charges, trying to grab one of the 'ears' and pull back on it, forcing the monster to turn away from the redhead ...

Well, the red-head can relax for a bit now... because as the dragon swoops in, the rabbit-monster's attention is immediately drawn to her. It growls at her before leaping right over the pink beam of energy, twisting in mid air to try to get a swing in to PUNCH the dragon downward with one of its massive ears. At least, that's what it /wants/ to do. Instead, what actually happens is its other ear is grabbed and the power of its jump, instead of sending it right for the dragon, sends it arcing around Armor to slam into the ground on the other side.

The woman, in the meantime, skids to a halt as she realizes she's not longer the target of footstomps. "What the- OH. Dragon. And..." She tilts her head with a raised eyebrow as she looks at Armor, never having seen anything like that before. She then shakes her head quickly and lifts up the sword to hold it in front of herself in a guard position across her chest with one hand. Her other hand makes a few motions, and soon a set of metallic angel wings sprout from the back of her top!

Archene would never turn down the opportunity to fight and have fun! The kind invitation slash kidnapping was welcomed! It'd would be hellishly tiring to run along with a giant bear-dog, "Thank you!" He then wraps his arms around her to sit tight, how else could he possibly do that in a giant dog?! And, riding a giant dog is on the list of awesome things to do, so it is a win-win.

As he looks ahead, towards the things fighting the giant rabbit he really begins to wonder where all of these things in the Badlands come from. It isn't every day that you see a Dragon and giant energy armor thingy fighting a rabbit thingy. At least, he can see everything fighting this time around.

Gold Dragon flaps madly trying to brake to a hover and dodge the.... attack? that turns to a pratfall. Suddenly she seems to implode leaving behind a brief crevasse of what looks like black lightning. With a similar flash she's high in the air again, hovering this time to give her pink beam of doom a steady platform. She opens her mouth and fires.

"You're welcome!" Korra doesn't even seem to be aware that she's now got a strange boy hugging her waist to hold on. All her concentration is set dead ahead! Right towards that giant bunny smashing things. Just as she suspected, this giant creature is threatening someone and it appears that she and Archene aren't the only ones taking slight to that. The dragon from before and some kind of giant mech made out of energy are already in the process of letting the giant bunny have it. Well, good, Korra always fights better in a group anyway. Naga begins to circle around the giant bunny, giving her owner some room to maneuver and set up some of her attacks. "Okay, here we go. Full disclosure, I'm a little rusty on fighting giant things so I'm not sure how this is going to go." The Avatar confesses to Archene first as she switches her chi to Earthbending; summoning a giant boulder up from the ground and hurling it at the bunny's head! All while Naga continues to move, ensuring that she and her riders remain difficult targets.

Hisako grits her teeth a little as the bunny-beast tries to jump, only for her grip to prevent a leap away. "Ei~!!" She makes the best of it, calling out a brief kiai and trying to leverage her armor's strength into rerouting the rabbit-thing, following through into a judo-esque throw - or trying to, anyway - to slam it into the ground that much harder. "Is everyone all right so far?" Hisako calls out, relinquishing her grip and making sure she isn't in anyone else's way; if she gets the chance, she's going to raise her fists over her head and bring them both down together on the bunny-beast's head. Or rather, bring her *armor's* fists down - although Hisako's also making that movement with her own body.

The giant monster in fact did get smashed head-first into the ground, but that doesn't seem to be stopping it, or even really slowing it down for more than a few seconds. It most certainly didn't like that, and takes a few steps menacingly towards the giant armor. It might have not noticed the dragon, except that flashy way of teleporting upwards did get its attention enough for it to hop to the side... but still not fast enough to avoid taking a grazing hit down its left ear-arm. When the rock slams into the back of its head, it flinches slightly, but doesn't really seem to be hurt by it. It doesn't even look back at Korra as it hops backwards this time to avoid the incoming overhead slash, then swings the uninjured ear-arm in Hisako's direction. It's too far away to actually make contact, however, instead it's sending a spray of the mud that was covering its hand at where the head of Hisako's armor would be. Is it trying to blind the armor?

Wings now spread out behind her, the woman in what is looking to be a magical girl outfit takes a leap upward into the air, followed by a downward push by those wings to send her flying towards the giant rabbit. Unfortunately, as she gets closer to range to try to take a swing at it, instead she gets caught in the perhiphory of the spray of thrown mud. While it doesn't seem to stick to her in any amounts that really hamper her movements, her reflexive dodge of the attack keeps her out of striking range for the time being. "Ugh!"

The dragon is englobed in a golden ball of light that shrinks and then deforms into a human silhouette. out of the light falls a woman in priestly garb that again like the dragon disappears on a crackle of black lightning... this time she reappears at about knee height to the monster, swinging a very heavy and spikey looking mace with an ease that suggests great strength.

Archene smiles at Korra in a reply before telling her, "And I am not very good at fighting at thigns of such size as it is. I'd end up getting in the way of attacks if got closer to it too." As he hears Hisko, he can only shout to Hisako, certainly not over Korra's head, "Everything is fine over here!" While he certainly had a suggestion to do, it is clearly overriden as he notices the attack against the rabbit's knee, "Korra, can you throw a rock like that from the side at its legs?" He asks still hugging her to not fall, but lightly enough if she happens to be the kind that is likely to jump off her mount to go fight the rabbit in a closer range.

Some of the spray of mud hits the 'face' of Hisako's armor; some of it splatters over the arm she'd raised to protect herself against it. It does absolutely nothing to stop her, though; the mud doesn't even stick for terribly long - Hisako just charges, and the mud sloughs away like there was nothing for it to stick to in the first place. She's not going to grapple this time, just punch - at the rabbit monster's noggin right where the as-yet-uninjured ear-arm sprouts from its 'scalp'.

Well, this thing certainly didn't seem to expect the sudden knee-capping! It doesn't even notice Filia.... At least not until she hammers it with the spiked mace. It growls in pain as its much smaller actual arms reach down to grab at the knee in question, and it starts hopping on its uninjured leg, possibly to maintain its balance... possibly to try to stomp on Filia. It's possibly the fact that it's already moving around so much that it nearly avoids Hisako's punch entirely. Nearly. Just as it looks like the punch is entirely going to miss by its head, instead it stumbles to bring its face directly in line with the punch, getting itself stumbling backwards.

Wiping the mud from her face, the now flying magial girl looks down over her new impromptu allies, seemingly only now realizing just how many people are here helping her out now. She does take an extra moment looking at Archene as, to her, he's wearing very odd clothing. But no! She can't just stand around and boggle at these newcomers to this fight! She(accidentally) started it, and she's not going to let everyone else do everything to end it! As such, she swoops first upward, then back down on the thing to try to slash it across the face, yelling out as she does so. It reaches up with the injured ear to block the attack, however it's not a completely successful block as the greatsword cuts cleanly into it, drawing blood and injuring the ear further!

Gold Dragon cheers and then 'eep's as she is nearly hopped on. She takes advantage of the foot's close proximately and aims a mighty over head swing at one toe on the healthy foot.

Hisako is cheered by being able to land another telling hit on the monster, but she doesn't do much more than grin at the impact she inflicts on the beastly bunny. And then her armor starts to shrink; she manages to stumble-sprint to her side, getting to the relative cover of what's left of a wall before her armor dissipates fully.

And now that Hisako is directly visible, anyone who takes a moment to *look* at her can probably figure out why she powered down again: she looks like she just ran a marathon, her chest heaving, sweat streaming down her face. As good as her powers are for fighting big things, even if it's not physical the way punching with your real fist would be, clearly it's still an exertion for her to keep that size up for that long ...

Korra continues to circle around the beast astride Naga whilst Archene grabs on to her waist. She was being truthful back there! She really is rusty and it may be why she seems so hesitant and lost despite her eagerness to help. Back in her world, she'd never had to fight something this size- at least not in the timeline she got yanked out from- so she's at a slight loss of what to do, and that the bunny beast was able to shrug off her attack isn't helping. "Hm, I could." She tells Archene when he suggests going for the creature's legs until she starts noticing that the bunny monster is apparently using earth attacks of its own. Could it be? Earth aligned? If so, then perhaps using the opposing element could have better effect. "Let's see, the opposite of earth is water." The Avatar changes her chi to Water Bending and begins to collect the particles of water in the air to make a great ball of water before her. She better hurry up though, even though the beast is injured both the dragon and the giant mecha made of energy sort of-- shrank, which means her time to act is now. "Here it goes!" Pushing with both palms forward, Korra sends a current of air at the creature's back, which turns into ice mid way intending to pierce the giant right through with a giant frozen spear.

Archene seems to glance a the flying magical girl with relatively odd-clothes. Maybe she did come from somewhere where that was standard combat attire back in her world. His eyes just move about the little battle field over to where Hisako ended up as her armor was gone, she didn't get this bad that one time he saw her fighting. He doesn't have much time to think about that as Korra seems to make a giant ball of water and then a giant ice spear, "And this is you being rusty? I wonder how you are when you are on your top-shape."

As the gigantic rabbit recovers from Hisako's punch, it manages to barely regain its balance before it's once again smashed by the mace, this time in its foot! Once more it howls in pain, lifting up its ear-arms as it pulls them together to form a fist to make a massive hammer blow on the now human-looking dragon.... leaving it completely open to getting a spear of ice right through its chest. It just stands there, looking stunned at the sudden strike as the amgical girl once again flies in for a last strike... slicing clean through the already injured ear, cutting it completely off. The rabbit's eyes roll upward as it then starts teetering over forward, slamming into the ground in front of it. While it's not exactly in control of its movements, Filia /is/ in the general area of where it's falling. As the dust settles from the impact with the ground, it's become quite clear that this giant beast is alive no more. As such, the flying magical girl comes in to land nearby, the wings dissipating into feathers that vanish from sight as she does so. "Well... A job well done, everyone!"

Filia Ul Copt's voice comes from underneath the creature. "That's wonderful for you. However, could ask for a hand?"

The creature falls after taking an ice spear to the back and its ear cut off by the magical girl! Death, is not something Korra usually deals out, certainly Avatar Aang would have been appalled to snuff the life of any living being. Korra isn't Aang however, and doesn't have those kind of mental limitations. She will do what she must to save the life of those who do not deserve today. Her steely gaze towards the creature's corpse is broken when Archene commends her and she chuckles briefly, "Eh, well, probably wouldn't have hesitated as much." Hearing that the dragon.. human? The human woman that was once the golden dragon is asking for help though, Korra leaps away from Naga and towards the bunny's corpse. Using her Earthbending, she brings a pillar of earth to spring from beneath the monster's dead body and open the way for Filia to get out.

Hisako finishes catching her breath, finally, and leans back around the edge of the wall ... to see that the gigantic rabbit-thing has toppled over and no longer seems to be going anywhere or posing a threat. With that, Hisako heads over to rejoin the others. "I think I asked earlier, but ... is everyone all right?" She looks amongst the impromptu group as if checking people over for obvious injuries.

Filia Ul Copt crawls out with as much diginity as she can muster and dusts herself off. "well that was...something."

Archene chuckles, ready to hop down Naga after Korra is on the ground, he just follows her over towards where there seems to be the sound of someoen under the rabbit. Soon enough, he is looking towards Hisako however, he smiles and says, "I was back then, am still alright as is. Are you alright yourself?" He takes a good look at her.

The magical girl blinks at the cry for help under the beast, and looks like perhaps she's about to do something herself, making a bit of a pose that suggests power... but Korra is of course able to rectify the situation much more quickly, leaving the red-head just looking a little sheepish. She quickly recovers, setting her sword's tip into the ground and putting her hands on her hips. "I'm okay, too. But... um..." She glances around the place and once again looks a little sheepish. "So, you're the first people I've seen since I woke up, and, uh... I have no idea where I am," she says as she takes in each person's appearance in turn.

"Everything okay on our end, yeah." Korra smiles and glances over to Archene shooting him a thumbs up. Archene may think that he didn't help out much, but Korra really needed that moral support, and thus she is grateful for the assistance. Likewise, she is glad that there were worthy allies here as well, and she shows it by giving Filia and Hisako a respectful bow, hand clasping her closed fist. "Thank you for your aid." The Avatar really is always glad to see people going out of their way to perform good deeds. She straightens up and looks at the cute red headed girl which they just saved and her question causes Korra to tilt her head and rub her chin. "A newcomer huh? I'm not really sure I'm the right person to ask for details about this place." Korra glances at Archene, Filia and Hisako, hoping some of them might be natives of Neo Tokyo-- or at least have spent more time here than her.

Filia Ul Copt looks around for a suitable spot... "First things first..." she mutters until she finds a relatively clean bare spot nearbye upon which she spreads a picnic blanket that removes from hammerspace. Likely the same place that she get's a tea set with cups and saucers for everyone. "Please have some tea." Not waiting for anyone to take up her offer she pours herself a cup, sniffs it, sips it and sighs. "ah... such a balm for stress.

Hisako still looks a little bit winded, but less depleted than she was when she ducked away from the fight. "You're in the Badlands outside of NeoTokyo," she explains to the magical girl. "The city itself is behind the wall out in that direction," she gestures to the approximate south and southwest. "You might have to register who you are with the NTSDF or somebody to get through, but it ... shouldn't be that big a hassle? They just have to make sure who's already known to live in NeoTokyo, and who's a new arrival. - I'm Hisako, by the way. Codename 'Armor,' of the X-Men and the Titans." She bows politely, mainly to the magical girl whose name she doesn't know ... but she doesn't really know the others, either, so technically she's introducing herself to everybody else.

And with the blanket being spread out and tea being offered, Hisako wastes little time in settling down (kneeling) on the blanket, just far enough back that her boots are on the ground rather than the cloth, accepting a cup of tea from the dragoness.

"And I'm Korra." The Avatar also says by way of introduction, happily pointing to herself before realizing she has very little on the way of titles. "Uh.. high school student and, well, former super hero I guess." A forlorn sigh, though that thankfully doesn't last long as her good mood returns. "Um, so yes, welcome to NeoTokyo." Then Filia is providing some refreshments which she is just all too happy to accept! "Oh hey! Don't mind if I do!" She chirps and kneels on the cloth to serve herself some tea. At that point, Naga comes along and plops herself next to Korra who gives her a polar bear dog treat.

Steel Valkyrie Strimla looks a little worried at what Korra says, but just downright confused by Hisako's attempted explanation. "....Um... yes, tea... I... suppose that does sound good..." She's used to eating in the middle of nowhere, being a professional adventurer in her home world! Still, she pauses slightly before she takes a seat on the cloth. "Ah, well, I'm... Strimla. Steel Valkyrie Strimla, but, yeah, just Strimla for short is fine. Thanks for the backup back there, everyone. It was all I could do to just dodge when it was trying to step on me!"

Archene gives Korra a thumbs up back at her with a bright smile on his face. While he didn't really help much, he still got to enjoy watching a very good fight and he even managed to get a good ride in a very nice steed. And getting tea after a fight, it is good to know that kind of people, he sits crosslegged just besides the blanket before accepting a cup before serving himself some tea, "Thank you" he briefly tells the one who offered before telling the magical girl, "Hisako's explanation is about everything for starters." He then offers the red-haired girl a warm smile, "And I'm Archene night by the way, just Archene Night. Wanderer among other things. It is a pleasure to meet you Strimla."

Filia Ul Copt says, "and I'm Filia Ul Copt. Priestess of the Fire Dragon King." finishes the round of introductions. To Strimla directly she adds "And this place... well right here... is a sort of nexus where all the bad places of all the different worlds mingle together. Travellers from other universes often wander here and are also often trapped here. The city neighbour is used to what they would consider odd, residents and tries to accomodate them. .. However in this world clerks run everything and want to take down the names and numbers of all things."

"Hey, don't worry about it, things like that happen around here all the time." Adds Korra whilst sipping her tea. "But that's why ya got people like us. Always ready and willing to lend a hand." Ah, it feels good to be back to super hero mode. Korra had just been too burned out which is why she just wanted to lead a normal life- but now it seems like she's starting to get her groove back after her long vacation. "The whole being trapped here sounds worse than it is. Once you get used to is NeoTokyo is really a wonderful place to live."

Hisako says, "It's good to meet all of you, Filia, Strimla, Korra, Archene ... and this tea is really good, Filia, thank you." She smiles, bowing her head again briefly. "And I agree with Korra; there's some culture shock involved - probably more if you're not from most of NeoTokyo's non-displaced population would call the 'present day, real world' - but it's not so bad. I mean, I was from my world's version of Japan in a time not that different from NeoTokyo's, and other than living in the city, it's been ... fairly smooth.""

Steel Valkyrie Strimla frowns at all the explanations coming her way, especially the way the clerks are described. "Well, it's... nice to meet you all, then." She sighs slumping a little as she takes a tea cup, filling it carefully. She takes a sip of the tea and closes her eyes, pondering this all over. "Well then... After that whole mess with that vampire... maybe it would be good to change things up a bit... Too bad the rest of my adventuring party didn't come with me..." She opens her eyes again and smiles, straightening up again. Sure, the smile is a little strained, but she's an adventurer! Strange things happen! "But... Hey, it's another... city to explore, in this case!" She then looks to Hisako, tilting her head slightly at the mention of 'present day, real world.' "Okay... so... how can I tell if I'm from 'present day, real world' to know if I'm going to get that kind of culture shock or not?"

Archene smiles warmly and says, "The tea is truly wonderful," he nods towards Filia before looking at Strimla, "Mostly, asking your which of our attires is the most out of place. That would at least cover part of it, I wouldn't ask for dates, since different places use different calendars but, asking if travel by airplanes and cars are common in your world is also a good question." He hmms before looking at the others then just enjoying the tea.

Korra sips her tea some more and adds. "Your party members might end up showing here at some point. You never know with this place." Sadly though, she really can't say much about how to tell if someone is from a modern time or not, considering her world's technology was widely less advanced than NeoTokyo's.

Filia Ul Copt ponders this. "Do you have horseless carriages in your world? or flying machines is such numbers that the airways are as restricted as roads?

Filia Ul Copt says, "REally... had to get a pilot's license and a radio to be allowed to move around."

Archene says, "Is it really that bad for fliers, or just because of your size whilist flying?"

Filia Ul Copt says, "Mostly it's a matter of altitude and location. Here in the badlads there's almost no flying craft. Next to the airport..."

Archene says, "I can imagine that it isn't the best thing to do near the airport." He nods with understanding."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla points to Archene. "You've got the strangest clothing... I'm not sure what you're talking about by 'cars' and 'airplanes'" She looks back to Filia and shakes her head. "Horseless Carriages? I think I've seen one in a larger city once... they had a lot of mages there, though. And I've not seen too many flying machines... the first one I ever saw I noticed because it was in the process of getting destroyed by a dragon." She pauses a moment before adding, "He, uh, wasn't as nice as you, Miss Filia."

Hisako hmms ... "Does your world have computers?" she asks Strimla. "Like, a box that stands on a desk and does all kinds of math, that you can access the Internet or play video games on? Or are your computers bigger than that - big enough to fill a room - or much smaller, so that it'd fit in your pocket just as easily?"

Steel Valkyrie Strimla just gives Hisako a blank look. By the looks of it, everthing she just said went completely over the magical girl's head. So instead of answering, Strimla just takes a sip of her tea.

Filia Ul Copt says, "what is the principal weapon of a soldier in your world?"

Steel Valkyrie Strimla sounds a bit worried now as she says, "...A.... sword or bow? Some armies prefer spears to swords?"

Archene says, "Given your reactions, Strimla. We can assume that you are from a world with magic probably a few centuries behind our current one." He smiles softly, "Possibly around the medieval era this place got, or something of the kind." He hmms thoughtfully."

Filia Ul Copt says, "In this world soldiers and other men under arms have staves that damage at a distance, like a bow. Sometimes they mount great large staves onto carts and use them like catapults or other artilary."

Filia Ul Copt says, "Here the Car, truck and bus, are horseless carriages of various sizes. nearly everyone has their own car and even those that don't ride a bus. Teamsters no longer marshal teams of oxen or mules but instead master large articulated carriages."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla groans and rolls her eyes before hanging her head. "So then this whole place is gonna be a massive amount of confusion?"

Hisako nods, "What people might use magic for in your world, Strimla, most people here would use different sciences and technologies to accomplish. I can try to help you get your bearings, although Filia might be better-equipped ... ?" She looks curiously at the dragon-tailed woman. "... Actually, Filia? Were you the dragon I saw flying overhead when I approached the battle?

Filia Ul Copt says, "I am a gold dragon, yes."

Filia Ul Copt says, "Rather young for my position I'm only a few hundred years old."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla sighs and looks up again. "Well, then... Time for me to get used to a new... whole world?" She definitely looks troubled by this, but doesn't seem too surprised to find that Filia is a dragon... actually, she assumed it earlier. This isn't the first dragon she's met, after all.

Hisako raises her eyebrows, "A few *hundred* .... eheheh ... I'm not even two decades old, I'm probably still a baby by your standards .." She grins sheepishly.

Steel Valkyrie Strimla shrugs. "Well, I'm not even two decades, either," she says. "I've taken on a dragon and lived. Age doesn't mean everything."

Filia Ul Copt says, "I wonder how I should take that." she sips her tea. "In my world there are certainly humans whom dragons fear."

Somewhere in the city Lina Inverse has a sneezing fit.

Steel Valkyrie Strimla deadpans, "Like I said... he wasn't a very nice dragon."

Filia Ul Copt sips her tea and nods. "At anyrate what little you've said of your world makes it sound somewhat similar to mine. There are good things and bad things about Neotokyo.

Filia Ul Copt says, "one bad thing is that they use paper instead of gold or silver or even just ... nothing....tick marks in one of their 'computers'. for money."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla winces at that. Having no money will be a pain.

Filia Ul Copt says, "Although I suppose it does make people a little less likely to steal my bed."

Meanwhile, through the whole conversation at some point Archene begins to just sip the tea and listens to the conversation, "At least, it is harder to steal money like that, and easier to store it."

Filia Ul Copt says, "on the other hand running water, education, and access to all kinds of information even a say in governance are considered common enough things to be expected."

Archene says, "Marvels of this modern world," and nods at Filia.

Steel Valkyrie Strimla says, "Running water?" She sounds impressed. "That's only in the really big cities where I'm from."

Hisako hmms ... "Strimla, you're a superhero of sorts, it seems like? I'm sure you could earn some pay if you sign on with the NTSDF or somebody. I'm a little too young to work for them directly, but I do get a stipend from the Titans to pay for some necessities and a few luxuries ...

Filia Ul Copt says, "or you can loot monsters and ruins and live off of what you can sell."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla suddenly grins. "'Super'hero? I like the sound of that one..." She herself doesn't look that much older than Hisako, though. She frowns slightly at Filia, though. "I'm... honestly used to working in a group. I'd need a solid adventuring party to really do the monster hunting thing... besides, that's not really my style."

Archene says, "Oh, I didn't know that was viable around here, haven't found anything I thought people would buy around these ruins yet," He mentions briefly before taking a better look at Strimla, "It shouldn't be too hard to find a party over here if you looked at the right places. Though most people here in the badlands do seem to wander alone." He hmms, "What kind of adventures are you more used to, Strimla?""

Filia Ul Copt says, "There's a man in back of the Cat's Meow who will buy things the general public has no use for."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla sighs and leans back far enough to fully be laying down, her hands now clasped behind her head. She looks slightly bothered, and moves her hands a bit lower to avoid the bow. "What did we do? We saved people. That's the way I always looked at it. Saved a city. Saved a princess. Saved the world from a vampiress who was far too powerful." Okay, maybe she's exaggerating a bit much on the saving the entire /world/ part. "Considering you guys are the only people I've seen out here... I'm pretty sure these 'Badlands' aren't really where I want to be."

Filia Ul Copt says, "No... this is. where all the 'bad places' of all the worlds meet."

Hisako nods, "We should probably work on heading back into the city. That giant rabbit monster was not the most dangerous thing I've ever seen come out of the Badlands, I think ...." She finishes her tea.

Filia Ul Copt says, "A lot of times they just fight each other. but there are things that threaten the city at times."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla frowns, then stands up again. "Well then... Perhaps I should go see this city, then. Uhhh...." She glances around for a bit. "Lead the, uh, way?"

Filia Ul Copt stands and begins picking up the tea... where she puts it is a mystery.

Finishing his tea, Archene stands up before nodding, "Yeah, I've seen invisible things attacking around here so, the less time dwadling around here the better."

Filia Ul Copt says, "I can give everyone a lift if you wish."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla frowns at that thought, then nods again. "Uuuuuh, right. Let's get moving, then..." She looks surprised by Filia's offer, though. "Uhh, thank you very much!"

Filia Ul Copt steps back and begins glowing until she's enveloped in a bright sphere of light that expands and deforms until it's the shape of a dragon.

Gold Dragon looks down and says in her stentorian voice. "well hop on.

Hisako says, "It would be much faster than walking ... thank you very much!" And she nods to Archene. "Yeah, the BETA that attacked a few months ago come to mind." She shudders at the recollection. "And I wouldn't be surprised if there's more than a few Sentinels out here, too ..." She climbs up on Filia's back when invited to do so."

Archene says, "I'd be thankful for that, never rode a Dragon before. He looks the at the golden Dragon, quite amazed at what he sees before he actually hops onto her."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla climbs up on top of Filia as well. "This is so... awesome!"

Gold Dragon says, "Everyone hang on now..." and LAUNCHES herself into the air. Soon she has flapped up to a fair hieght making it much more easy to navigate the broken streets and collapsed buildings of the badlands."

Gold Dragon says, "From here you can catch a bus. That is... a public conveyance... that will take you to meet the nosy clerks."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla by now looks much more impressed with the city. In fact, it looks very much like she completely missed what Filia said just then because of just how much she's gaping at the sights around her.

Gold Dragon says, "perhaps you'd like some food. There is a popular restaurant on this block."

Steel Valkyrie Strimla takes another moment to respond. "Uwah? Food? Oh, yes, food! I was having trouble forraging for food out in the, uh, Badlands!"

Gold Dragon settles in for a landing and says. "All right then, I'll need everyone to get off as I can't get through the door in my natural form.

Steel Valkyrie Strimla, upon the landing, quickly hops off the dragon. Rather than looking dissappointed it's over, she looks to be just more grateful she got the chance.

With Filias words, he lets out a soft chuckle before jumping down from here, landing into a crouch before properly standing up, "Yes, yes. Food would be something very good to get right now."

Gold Dragon does that glowy shrinky thing again.

Hisako slides to the ground as well, letting Filia return to human form. "I'd love to join you for something to eat, but I need to get back to the Tower ... security's kind of tight for getting in, but Titans Tower is north of here a little ways, in Townsville. You can't miss it - a big T-shaped building. Stop by sometime, and if I'm around, I can let you in for a chat or something?

Steel Valkyrie Strimla nods to Hisako. "I'll look into it... thanks."
