Robin Caldworth, AKA Steel Valkyrie Strimla
As Strimla:

Before you stands the Steel Valkyrie Strimla! It's quite clear that the young woman before you is some sort of Magical Girl, complete with bows, skirt, and long, flowing red hair, even with a bow at the back of her head! Most of her outfit shines like metal perhaps with a slight blueish tint to it. To start at the bottom, Her feet are clad in long black boots, of course with heels! A band around her ankles and kneepads are more heavily armored. The boots reach nearly halfway up her thighs to her knees, leaving her skin bare until it reaches the short, pleated, shining skirt. Said skirt has several plates draped over it, shaped loosely like blades, and at the back is a bow with quite long ends that reach down past her knees. While her toned midriff is bare, her top shines like steel, and her sizable chest is covered more by another bow, though not nearly as large as the one on her back. At the center of the bow is a noticeable yin-yang symbol. As the top reaches up to her shoulders, leaving a V-neck that plunges just far enough to show the barest hint of cleavage, metal shoulder plates provide some of the rare actually visibly armored look. Her upper arms are kept bare, but long, dark sleeves cover her forearms, ending at a more heavily armored band around her wrists at one end and with elbow pads that match her kneepads at the other. Finally, she is almost definitely carrying her weapon, Gnistra, which is most likely in the form of a very large sword. The crossguard even manages to resemble the ribbons of her outfit, complete with yin-yang, and the pommel appears to be another blade, though smaller than even a dagger.

As Robin:

This young man in front of you can make quite the imposing image, if it weren't for the almost wide-eyed look of near-innocence he gives the world around him. While his 5'8" form is fairly well muscled, it's not readily visible through his loose tunic... and yes, that's a tunic. He looks like he's right out of some sort of medieval fantasy world... perhaps because he is! He's even got a mace hanging from his belt. The green tunic he's wearing looks like it's seen better days, but it's still well repaired, looking like it's not going to fall apart any time soon from just normal use despite the patches. The brow trousers are rough, looking in similar shape to the tunic but from sturdier materials, and are tucked into so very well worn heavy leather boots. As far as his face is concerned, he's actually a little bishounen in appearance, though his spikey red hair is cut fairly short by bishounen standards. The wide blue eyes look around this new world to him with rapt attention!

Robin Caldworth, AKA Steel Valkyrie Strimla
Robin's main power, which all his other powers require to be able to work, is his magical transformation into Steel Valkyrie Strimla. While the form doesn't(at least directly, see spells below) make him/her any stronger, it does make her(I'll be using the feminine pronoun from now on in this category, as he would be a she to access this) much tougher, more difficult to injure. It also grants her access to her weapon, Gnistra. Gnistra is, in its normal form, a large, two handed greatsword. At will, she can shift it to have a longer handle, extending her reach with the weapon, or she can shift the greatsword into the form of a longbow which summons its own ammunition. In either form, the weapon's magical nature makes it much more dangerous than a mundane greatsword or longbow, though it still only simply cuts or pierces.

In addition to those core abilities, Robin is able to effectively 'cast spells' to further boost herself and allow some utility. Each of these spells takes time to cast, making it so she would often just chose to strike rather than use these if she thinks a fight can be won quickly. She's also very limited in the amount of spells she can cast in a day; she wouldn't even be able to cast each spell once a day, though she may cast spells more than once a day at the expense of others. These spells are oocly taken straight out of the Pathfinder player's handbook, and are:

-Prestidigitation(a spell that is mostly used for cleaning, though it has a number of other minor effects it can do, such as making some minor flashes of light or adding flavor to food)

-Light(Make an object shine like a torch)

-Message(send a short whispered message to someone she knows at a distance)

-Enlarge person(exactly as it sounds: It makes Robin 10 feet tall and adds to her strength and reach because of it, but also makes her a little more clumsy)

-Shield(creates a magic disk of energy that can block attacks)

-Expeditious Retreat(Makes her able to run really fast)

-Mirror Image(Create illusory duplicates to confound enemies trying to hit her)

-Resist Elements(Become more resistant to fire, cold, acid, or lighting)

-Bull's Strength(become physically stronger)

-Fly(Her magical girl uniform sprouts metallic wings and she's able to fly!)

-Haste(She moves faster overall)

Background

Robin Caldworth as himself
Robin Caldworth grew up in a medieval world of swords and sorcery, in a small town at nearly the outskirts of civilization. He grew up hearing constant tales of great heroes, the ones that slayed the dragons, rescued the princesses, saved the world! More than anything else, Robin wanted to be one of those heroes! But out there, in the middle of nowhere, he didn't have the money to go off to be properly trained to be the heroic knight of his dreams... So he just kept being raised to be a farmhand, like his family has always been. Still, that didn't keep him from exploring the forests and caves around his village in his early teens. It was in one of those caves that he found it, a shining greatsword. Gnistra. Even Robin, a simple farmhand, could feel the magic radiating off this blade and the yin/yang amulet hung around its hilt. It seemed to call to his urge to be a hero... And so he put on the amulet and took the sword in hand, pulling it from the rubble the blade was in.

That was the day Steel Valkyrie Strimla was born, a very female(which is considered to be a downside to Robin) instrument of righteousness that would travel the land with other adventurers. Of course there were setbacks, dear friends(okay, so that half-orc Jim was a bit of a jerk...) dying in combat. But Robin, as Steel Valkyrie Strimla, also succeeded! The cult of a demonic dragon was successfully thwarted! An entire city was saved! A kidnapped princess was even tracked down and rescued! In the end, even though Robin had to be female to do it, it was a price he easily paid to be able to be that hero he always wanted to be!

Notes

Robin was originally played as a Player Character in a Pathfinder campaign using the Magic Knight class from an anime themed 3rd party supplement. The version here is based on Robin at 12th level.
