Captain Kara sighs. She was just on her way back to the office after doing some research (buying manga and comics. Turok featured) "Where's a patrolman when you need it? She picks her mike up. "Dispatch this is Technical One. 10-200 Fire and patrol needed. Some sort of Flammable Event. Rainbow_Dash arrives at the scene, hovering in mid-air and looking around, "What the hay was that?! Whoa...this place is a mess!" Captain Kara surveys the scene thinking to herself Captain Kara says, "Enviroment: are their any Hazards, Count the number of Casualties, Do I need Other help? Power Company, City Works..." A Shrill voice screams out! GET AWAY FROM ME!!! and an explosion follows! A burning car careens across the road, slamming into another parked car and exploding again! Rainbow Dash whoas and heads around the corner where the source is coming from! Explosions going on all over the Chisakawa district! Captain Kara speaks into her radio again "Dispatch this is Technical One, 10-200 ambulance and fire. Explosions on Chisaikawa boulevard" then cautiously heads toward the voice. well aware she's not a fireman and not wearing Nomex Several cars are burning and / or melted and exploding! There's a burned area on the street and it's a general state of panic! As Kara rounds the bend, Rainbow Dash dodges a torrent of flame! A young woman is yelling, shrouded in flame, but her words are hard to hear! But she seems confused and angry and she looks like this: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Flame-Princess-331411841 After having spotted the torrent of flames, a certain person decided now was the time to take action! They transformed into the singular Steel Valkyrie Strimla, and now she is flying overhead on her steel-feathered wings! From above, she looks over those here with a frown. "Some kinda... fire elemental?" With the slightest of shrugs, she folds her wings up and drops down for a landing... but not a Hero Landing, but instead something more befitting someone with wings. At the last second, she spreads her wings again and stabilizes herself, landing softly instead of hard. She then looks at the flaming woman a moment before holding up both hands in front of herself. Not in a surrender motion so much as a 'hold on a minute here' pose. "All right, can you understand me? Calm down and maybe we can talk this through. I know this place is new and confusing, but there's no need to, uh, blow everything up." The street is a mess! Burning cars are everywhere! And flaming girl is screaming in the center of it all! (Flame Princess!) She seems to be in some kind of rage! Rainbow Dash can't get too close, but she tries shouting out to her! "Hey you..um..flame girl! You wanna stop!? Your freaking out the locals!" Flame Princess stoms her foot and a ring of fire erupts around her and outwards! "Whoa!" cries out dash and gets out of the way! The girl turns and looks to Strimia, her eyes blazing, "GET AWAY FROM ME!" she screams out! The heat causing glass and metal near her to melt! Is it a warning or is it a warning? She doesn't seem to be in control of her powers.... In the distance the wailing of sirens can be heard. Explosions tend to draw attention, and as one of the resident superheroes, Hisako 'Armor' Ichiki has taken it upon herself to come and investigate as well. She's careful about the fires near her, though - her armor may keep her safe, but it has its limits and she doesn't want to push them two nights in a row. "It's okay, miss," she calls out to the fiery girl, holding her hands out to her sides, open and palms visible - and for good measure, she powers down from her armored state, to look even less threatening. "If somebody was chasing you, we'll help you turn them back, but you need to try to relax and stop lighting things up ..." Captain Kara tsks and speaks into her handheld once more "All Units, Technical One, Go Silent. Person of Interest seems to have flame powers and is in a state of agitation. Rainbow_Dash says, "You totally have to calm down! Augh! I'm lousyat this, where's Fluttershy when you need her!?" Flame Princess tightens her eyes, "I'm sorry! My power are out of control! I can't hold it back much longer...I'm gonna go nova or something...you people have to get out of here!" lamp posts begin to bow to her, giving in to the inferno that's Flame Princess." S. V. Strimla nods and jumps backwards with a flap of her wings, sending her back a fair distance. As she lands, however, she mumbles something and makes some hand motions before tapping herself on the shoulder. She then looks up at Hisako and calls out to her, "Hisako! Come here a minute, I can cast a spell that can protect you some from the heat." In the distance, the sirens which were growing louder, suddenly cut off. Flame Princess wraps her arms around herself and does her best to suck it in...or to keep control; either way, it looks like she doesn't want to hurt anybody! But, of course, she's also a something of a living bomb! Captain Kara wonders.... "Would the power still work if she was unconscious?" her hand caresses the butt of her pistol. Which also mounts a powerful electric arc, stun gun. Rainbow_Dash says, "Uh...I dunno if that's a good idea...." To Kara, "If it doesn't work, she's just gonna burn the whole city! Whoa, I can't even get near her! Who is this girl anyway?" Hisako heads over to Strimla, smiling gratefully to the Steel Valkyrie. "Every little bit probably helps in a situation like this ... so what do we know about her? How'd she get here? And what's a safe place to take her if she can't get her flame powers under control?" Rainbow_Dash says, "We have to get to relax...I think! She's totally trying to not freak out!" S. V. Strimla makes her hand motions again while mumbling and reaches out to tap Hisako. "I know... absolutely nothing. You got here just after I did. She just got here, and clearly just... can't control herself. I guess we should talk to her, find out if, uh, throwing water at her will hurt her or not. If it does, uhhhh, maybe there's some technology that could help?" She doesn't sound terribly confident. She looks up, then at Rainbow Dash, then the police officer. "...I can cast Resist Energy one more time today..." Which means, of course, she can only protect one of the two with the spell. As Flame Princess tries to keep a lid on it, and our heroes debate what to do, a round object seems to appear faintly, then fades back out into nothing...like something's trying to materialize in real space but keeps fading back out. "Where can we take her? the beach? Somewhere less...uh....in the middle of the city?" she backs away again as the heat's way too much for her! NT Police car 54 pulls up with just it's lights flashing and two officers get out one a sergeant and the other a corporal. The look at each other and then look at Iris waving them back "No way a portable extinguisher is going to help with that". They back off and instead get to work clearing civilians from the scene. in the Distance a siren whoops once and a car horn blares. The faint rumble of a diesel engines going full tilt can also be heard. Flame Princess, eyes closed, keep repeating "Stay away, stay away, stay away....." her arms crossed around herself, "I don't want to hurt anybody! Please, run away!" S. V. Strimla shakes her head to Rainbow Dash. "We don't want to spread out the damage." She looks up to the Fire Princess and starts walking towards her, slowly. She still stops some distance away. She has fire resistance, but not immunity! "Okay, okay, calm down. I have a spell that's protecting me, but I want to try to help you, but protect the city as well. Before we do anything stupid, if we do something that extinguishes flames, would that hurt you? Because we won't do that if it does." She's keeping her voice calm as she speaks to the princess. As Strimia approaches, the strange orb seems to appear and fade out again...but it's obvious there's people inside... Hisako calls out gently, "We want to try and help you avoid hurting anybody. Is there a way you normally keep your powers under control, wherever you're from? If you need somewhere that it's safe to let your powers run loose for a bit, we're not that far from the ocean ... you could 'vent' your fire into the sky over the ocean and I don't believe you'd hurt anyone, or anything." Captain Kara has been watching the whole area. worried about gas tanks and power lines and gas mains. She notices something. but doesn't look at it time to see what it is. Flame Princess says, "I'm not from HERE, I don't know what's going on....my fire's linked to my emotions! I'm trying...trying to stay calm....but I'm totally freaking out!" she gasps, as if speaking about it, amps up her anxiety! Rainbow_Dash has seen the orb, though! "Hey...something else is trying to get through..I think....why does it small like Pinkie Pie?" she blinks, sniffing around. The Orb begins to appear again, inside, a woman with Pink Hair, a boy with a bear's hat and a dog fuss over candy-cane controls as the orb fades back out again...looks like they're having trouble with something.... NT Police car 72 and two fire trucks and an ambulance appear on the scene. The lead truck is a pumper while the second looks like a UPS van painted red. From the second truck firemen start piling out carrying road block signs and traffic cones and a case of Gatorade? The pumper disgorges more fire men who look like they are wearing scuba tanks they take one look at the situation and start pulling out the fire hoses and hooking up to a nearby hydrant. Rainbow_Dash says, "I hope they're not thinking of zapping her with that....it might not be a good idea!" S. V. Strimla looks over at the fire truck. Yes, she's learned about these so far. "Okay, so they're going to spray around you." She them mumbles, "I hope," under her breath before speaking up again. "This is something that can happen in this city, people can show up here, get pulled through..." She pauses as the orb appears again, this time noticing it. "Uhhh... Are those your friends?" Flame Princess hmm? Looking up as the Orb begins to appear again; solidifying more this time, then becoming totally solid! Rainbow Dash zips up close to it to take a closer look! "Whoa....is this thing made out of bubble-gum?! Weird..." The Bubble opens and Finn sticks his head out, "Phoebe! We're here to get you....but ya gotta calm down! You're too hot! and not in a good way!" Princess Bubblegum adds, "We have to hurry! It's not stable! Flame Princess, come on!" Hisako relaxes, visibly and audibly. "Sounds like you're set, then. Do you need any help?" the four police officers help the security van cordon off the street parking their cars with the lights flashing and standing by the barricades to redirect traffic. A very large block relative to the size of the flame has been sealed off. Meanwhile the pumper crew begin hosing down the area AROUND the flame princess with water mixed with fire retardant foam. A couple of fireman from the Van use a fire ax to break into a nearby parked car and get it out gear so it can be pushed away. Iris's attention however is on the orb, Closing her fleshy eye she examines the 'vehicle?' with the full suite of sensor in her cybernetic eye. Flame Princess flies up to the sphere, "I'm SO sorry!" she shouts to the people on the ground, Jake catches her with something that looks like oven mitts! Then something seems to go worong with the sphere just as Jake grabs Phoebe; Rainbow Dash is too close and the Sphere pops back out of existence; taking Flame Princess and Rainbow Dash with it! *poof!* Captain Kara blinks. "Crisis over?" Hisako says, "It seems that way, yeah ..." One pegasus feather floats down from where Dash vanished...... S. V. Strimla at first smiles and nods at what the police officer and Hisako say... but then the smile quickly fades as she spots the feather. "Uhhhh... well... We... lost someone," she says, growing slightly pale. Rainbow Dash was a friend! And it looks like she just got taken as well! The Firemen start cooling down the pavement where the flame princess had been as well. one of the gestures vigorously at the three ladies and says something muffled by his mask. Bottle Green Thunderbolt says, "We'll have to look at that right away but first let's step back and let the firemen do their work." S. V. Strimla winces and grabs the feather before running out of the way of the fire trucks. Her own feathered wings seemingly evaporate as her flight spell ends, and she slows down as she's out of the fire area, then comes to a stop at a bench, where she more falls onto than sits down, though the end position is the same. She definitely looks very disturbed by what happened. Captain Kara sighs. "So now we have a missing person case....um.... do either of you know that pony? we need to let her family know what's happened." She rubs her cybereye as if it's in pain. although nothing looks wrong it just looks like a normal healthy eye. S. V. Strimla nods absently. "I, um, don't know where her family is, or have a real way to contact them," she says dejectedly. She's referring, of course, to Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle. Captain Kara pulls out her notepad and a pen... "Do you at least know their names?" S. V. Strimla nods. "Fluttershy and... Twilight something? Sparkle, I think? I mean, they're not her actual family, I don't think, but they're from her world." Captain Kara nods and writes the names down. "I think we can find them. We try to track new arrivals." S. V. Strimla nods again a bit absently, looking at the feather. "I hope so. They need to know..." She looks up again. "I think Twilight Sparkle was, uh, good with magic... maybe she can help get her back?" | |
