Magical Girl Teamup! | ||
---|---|---|
Summary: Miyu, Strimla, and La Pucelle all meet up and discuss teaming up! |
It was another quiet day in the (FAR too large for it's amount of occupants) Emiya Household. ...at least it was until some sort of mana spike alarmed Sapphire. It's hard to say if it's really a card or not, due to how unpredictable the multiverse has been, but they can't chance NOT looking into it. As such, Miyu's transformed and is currently hopping between building tops, trying to reach the location that Sapphire felt the spike from. S. V. Strimla continues humming.... until she spots the figure jumping across the rooftops. "La Pucelle?" she wonders aloud at first... but no, definitely not. The coloration of the figure's clothes is entirely wrong! She slowly sets down her half-finished ramen and stands up, preparing herself for possible battle by taking up her greatsword, Gnistra. Miyu pauses on one building, peering about curiously. ....following mana signature routes is difficult in a place this filled to the brim with mana. That's part of why her job has been as messy as it has since she arrived here. Which way now? S. V. Strimla raises her sword... not in a threatening manner, but in a more relaxed manner as she rests it on her shoulder. Now that the purple, white, and black form has come to a stop, the Steel Valkyrie can get a better look at her. "....Just a kid," she mumbles to herself. She's now doing nothing to hide her presense, and is looking directly at Miyu. She is not, however, calling out to her. Miyu freezes and peers in Strimla's direction as she stops hiding her presence. "...hello," she greets hesitantly, lowering the wand version of Sapphire. She feels like this calls for asking some questions, but she's not really sure what to ask yet. S. V. Strimla unshoulders her sword and sets the tip onto the rooftop, holding it in front of her. "Hi," she says, then just peers at the younger girl for a moment before saying with a slight smirk, "I'm gonna take a stab at this... Miyu?" Well, apparently she's heard of Miyu from somewhere before! Miyu looks...quite obviously lost now. "Yes...I'm Miyu," she replies, "How did you know that?" "I haven't met you before, have I," the girl wonders with slight concern. She's sure she'd remember if she had, but she can't remember seeing this girl. S. V. Strimla shakes her head, then crouches down to pick up the likely prior unseen bowl of ramen with her free hand. "No, never seen you before in my life. I have, however, met La Pucelle... I am Steel Valkyrie Strimla." She looks at Miyu as she says this, trying to see if that seems familiar to the younger girl or not. La Pucelle /said/ she was going to talk to Miyu.... Miyu says, "Oh, I have met La Pucelle, but we haven't seen eachother all that recently. I haven't been out much. The cards have been quiet..." S. V. Strimla takes a running leap over the gap to reach the same building as Miyu, barely keeping the ramen from spilling. She actually looked a little worried about it on the landing, and has to overextend her self a little to keep it all in the bowl. "Cards?" Not having a clue what that means, she goes on another tangent, their common aquaintence. "La Pucelle seemed... very interested in creating a team of some sort... She said she'd want to get you involved as well." She looks down at Miyu with a slight frown. Apparently magical girls in this world tend to be younger than the kinds of people Strimla is used to working with... Miyu tilts her head at that. "...a team," she wonders, "...a team for what?" "Hmm...the cards are..." she speaks carefully, measuring her choice of words, "Something from my world that causes some trouble." S. V. Strimla sets down her sword and grasps at the air, ending with a fist with a slight smirk. "A team! An adventuring party! Are you seriously going to try to hunt down these trouble causing cards all by yourself? Why do that when you can have backup, actually use group tactics?!" In a page-pose to you, La_Pucelle waves Miyu blinks a little. "Well...I /am/ used to working with another person," she admits, "...and I have been getting a lot of unexpected help from others here." S. V. Strimla tilts her head. "...Wouldn't expected help be better?" She really does look a bit honstly confused by the fact that Miyu would try to do this actively without a team. In the world she came from, adventurers that went out on their own always died! Miyu tilts her own head. "Yes..." she agrees, "That just seems...logical." It's just she's used to trying to keep things on the down low to keep the wrong people from learning the truth behind the cards. She's already had to tell way more people than she'd normally dream of talking to since she arrived here. "It's just not an option I'm used to." S. V. Strimla's smile vanishes as she senses the reluctance, even if she doesn't know why. "All right, you don't have to just be polite. I can tell you're not exactly keen on the idea." Miyu tilts her head even more. "I'm not trying to be polite," she replies, "And it's not that I am 'not keen', I am just...unexpecting. It still feels strange having so much help..." S. V. Strimla takes hold of her chopsticks as she picks up a bunching of noodles. "Well... Okay, the way things are in my homeworld... I'm used to making teams pretty easily. It's kind of... a part of being an adventurer, you know? But I've never teamed up with... Magical Girls before." She grimaces slightly as she says this, clearly unused to using the phrase, and apparently not that fond of it, either. "But that's apparently the way things are here?" Miyu looks thoughful as she tries to explain more clearly. "I've spent most of my life with very few people I felt I could trust. It's not that I am distrusting...but that I'm used to being a prisoner of one sort or another. So, this sort of thing is still something I'm not very accoustomed to. I'm...trying to get better...at things like 'being social' too. I appreciate the offer, but I was very thrown off by it." This all being said in the same, serious, mostly expressionless state she's shown thus far. She seems far too mature for someone so young. "I am still learning a lot about what it means to be a magical girl. ...I became one in something of an emergancy basis." S. V. Strimla shovels in a bit of her ramen as Miyu explains herself, then nods after swallowing. "Well, 'being social' is kinda required for getting anywhere, if you ask me. You're going to need to, at one point or another, actually talk through a problem instead of just cutting it down. If your only option is to fight something... well, you've left yourself useless to other problems." She then smirks again. "Of course, that's an advantage of an adventuring party. If you have a weakness, another teammate can fill in that gap in your coverage. But in the end, don't let me tell you what you have to do, I guess. Choose for yourself, of course." Miyu listens to Strimla's words, nodding in understanding. "I guess I should learn to deal with things besides the cards. We have had to fight people before too." La Pucelle is out on patrol. Again. It can be monatouns most nights but as a magiacal girl it her duty to look for any trouble! Not much all that exciting happens the most excting thing she done is in past week was save a cat that was stuck in a tree! She hopping from rooftop to rooftop and spots two famiar figures in the distance.. She hops a bit closer. "Heyy!", she says grabbing their attention as not to starle them as she lands on the rooftop they are at. "If you think you're just going to have to deal with one problem...." Strimla shakes her head. "Something will come up on the side, and you're going to have to deal with that as well. Unless you just single mindedly deal /only/ with your own-" and that's when a slightly familiar voice calls out, getting Strimla's attention in the middle of her sentance. She waves a hand, chopsticks still in her fingers. "And there's our mutual aquaintence now." Miyu gives a small wave toward La Pucelle. "Hello," she greets, "I was just talking to...Steel Valkyrie? about a team you were mentioning?" La Pucelle smiles and waves back. "hello! I see you two have met. That's great.", she smiles and nods at Miyu! exly! "yes! I was thinking we should form a team. Working together would be a good thing right? especally with those Cards still around.." Miyu nods in reply. "The Berserker class card is already out there, but it hasn't become a problem yet. Someone was helping with keep track of that one. Sapphire thought she felt something suspicious earlier, but we've lost the trail already..." S. V. Strimla frowns as the 'cards' are brought up again. "Sooooooo, what are these card things, anyway?" She glances between the two. "I'm... assuming they're some sort of monsters or another, right?" La Pucelle says, "Something like that.. hmm I'm not really sure myself..", she looks to Miyu to explain it." Miyu nods in reply. "The Berserker class card is already out there, but it hasn't become a problem yet. Someone was helping with keep track of that one. Sapphire thought she felt something suspicious earlier, but we've lost the trail already..." At Strimla's question she looks thoughtful. "They are cards, but they-...basically there is a fraction of a powerful spirit attached to it that causes distortions. S. V. Strimla tilts her head, looking a little worried now. "So... do they... manifest, or do they posess?" La Pucelle says, "A fraction? That last one was pretty tough. I woudn't want to fight one of those things as full power!" Miyu says, "They cause problems due to association, and the only way to stop them is to go to my own world to defeat the enraged part of their spirit." She nods at Pucelle. "I'm not sure what a full spirit is like...the only one I've met is one I didn't have to fight. Thankfully she was nice and helped heal someone who was hurt in fighting the first card found here."" S. V. Strimla finishes her ramen and leans against a conveniently placed chimney with a deep frown. "It sounds like... a very specialized way of fighting them. You... go into another world to fight them?" La Pucelle nods. "Sort of? it not really a another world. More like walking into another room or someone else's house.. Miyu blinks a little at what they're saying. "I have to open up a portal to where they are, basically," she replies, "After that it's mostly like anything else, I would assume...but I'm not really experianced in fighting much else." La Pucelle says, "I can sympatise with that Miyu. I don't have much fighting experience at all! I just can use my sword by instict. But I don't have much real combat experince.." Miyu says, "Also, once the spirit is defeated, I can use the card to have access to some of thier powers, so I'm more capable of fighting any cards that appear later on." She nods at Pucelle. "The only non-spirits I've fought were someone who became an ally, and my kidnappers... Spirits, I'm used to fighting with other spirits, but the people here have proven other methods are affective as well."" La Pucelle nods listening. "I just think if you hit something enough it will eventually give up.. or break. S. V. Strimla groans and rolls her eyes. "There's... sooo much more to fighting than just hitting things. You've got to be aware of everything around you, you've got to know where your allies are, use positioning to your advantage! If something likes to get up close and personal, you want to run while allies pelt it from a distance, if it's trying to keep its distance, run up and hit it in the face! Am I the only one with real combat experience?" She sighs and hangs her head. Of course, when she was the age of either of these two, she was either expecting to be a farmer or a complete greenhorn, herself. La Pucelle says, "Yes." Miyu says, "Well...it IS probably a bit more complex than just hitting things hard...At the very least, some things can hit harder. Sometimes the spirits do seem to require some thinking to fight." S. V. Strimla nods. "Of course it's more complex than that! Knowing what weapon to use and how, and.... ugh, I'm no good at explaining it... Anyway, it seems that, when you get through that portal, you can just... fight them like a normal... thing, then?" Miyu nods. "That seems to be the case...there have been two cards fought here so far, and both were mostly defeated by people just beating on them. The hard part seemed to getting to them. That'll probably be different with different servants, if it's like it was before." La Pucelle says, "From the one I fought they just seem to be acting on instinct there not very rational." Miyu nods in reply. "It's like a mindless anger usually." S. V. Strimla closes her eyes and thinks about this. "Well.... At this point... I think I'd have to fight one myself in order to really get a feel for them. But... if they're fighting mindlessly, that means we can usually take advantage of them." She then opens her eyes again. "But... is this something we're going to do? Be a team?" La Pucelle says, "I think it a good idea. Better than going it alone..." Miyu nods in reply. "...It's something it sounds like I should be doing either way..." S. V. Strimla looks between the two and then nods. "All right... Sooooo, how does this work when we're in a city this big and just... staying here? I mean... I've got a job, but I'm still camping out at night. Shall we just have a... meeting place that we check in with each other every night, or...." La Pucelle laughs numerously. "I'm must sleeping on rooftops right now.." Miyu says, "...I have a house. ...a big house. I'd have to ask my big brother if it's ok to have people over often though." La Pucelle says, "We should pick a spot mabye to meet up? Like a top of a tower?" Miyu says, "It looks like there are a lot of places we could pick like that...you should really get places to stay too though." S. V. Strimla glances at La Pucelle.... then points towards the high school. "Remember that tower? The one we said we'd meet up at again..." She does look back to Miyu though and holds up her hands. "Look, I really don't want to intrude on that. I'm still looking to try to find a place I can afford is all. I've never actually had a stable place before, back home I was a traveling adventurer." La Pucelle nods to Strimla. "I do! That's a good meeting place.", she look at Miyu. "I just haven't had time to look for a place for myself!" Miyu blinks a little at Strimla's responce. "Ok, if you are alright like that. I've done that before too..." "I can see if big brother will let you stay in one of the guest rooms till then? We have five of them just going unused..." La Pucelle says, "well if you brother is okay with it..", Pucelle relishes this might get a bit award.. "Well if were going to do that. Mabye I should tell you what my civilian identity is.."" S. V. Strimla shakes her head. "No, really, I'd really rather not impose on you at all!" She sounds a bit... overly enthusiastically turning this offer down. Miyu says, "Alright...well I have to ask my brother either way. He's the only other person that lives at our house." Two people in a place with 5 guest rooms must be REALLY empty. She doesn't understand Strimla's refusal, but also doesn't see it as proper to keep prodding about it." S. V. Strimla nods to Miyu. "Don't worry about it, I'll find my own place soon enough!" La Pucelle says, "That be great Miyu.", she will deal with her civilian identity stuff later.." Miyu nods to both of them. "Ok...so...tower near the school? I should be able to find that." La Pucelle says, "Sounds good!" S. V. Strimla says, "Right, then. Hopefully I get one of those phone things soon and then we can make it so we can talk immediately instead of just... waiting to get here if there's something that needs our attention..." La Pucelle says, "I have a magical communcator..", she pulls out this small device that looks sort of like a phone but more egg shaped. "i used it to communacte with the other magical girls in my world.."" Miyu says, "...I haven't really used a phone much either. I usually just find people when I need them. Though, Jason gave me his number..." She peers over the communicator. "That seems like it could be useful."" S. V. Strimla peers at the communicator. "It looks useful... If we could have somthing like that... that'd be really useful." La Pucelle says, "well the ..thing that gave to me hasn't shown up here yet..." S. V. Strimla raises an eyebrow. "'Thing'?" Miyu peers at La Pucelle as well. "Something not human?" S. V. Strimla says, "....'Not Human' describes half of my first adventuring party." La Pucelle says, "I'm not sure how else to explain it it called itself Fav and pretty well gave me my abilities this phone. It looked like small half black and white small stuffed toy." Miyu says, "Ooh. ...well I didn't mean anything bad by that. ...I thought it might be an animal." S. V. Strimla tilts her head. "Huh. I just got my powers when I found Gnistra." She pats her sword. La Pucelle says, "I'm not sure what Fav is either. I've only communicated with it over the phone.. I'm not even sure it exsits in the real world!" Miyu says, "...Or something like Ruby and Sapphire..." She holds up her wand at that. "Hello La Pucelle-sama, Strimla-sama," says the wand. La Pucelle says, "Hello. It is possible. Thought Fav empowered more that just me.." S. V. Strimla says, "Not sure if it... exists? But it-" And then the wand talks! Strimla just stares at it for a moment. "Um.... Hi." Sapphire wiggles about in Miyu's grasp, waving the little butterfly like wings she has like hands. "I am Magical Sapphire, who has taken Miyu-sama as my master." La Pucelle says, "Nice to meet you Magical Sapphire. I never met a talking wand before! Thought I don't think many people have!" S. V. Strimla nods slowly. "I, er, yeah! I've... heard legends of intelligent weapons, but.... you're the first I've met." "I...suppose weapon is the right thing to call me," Sapphire muses thoughtfully. "I can't fight for myself, but I can give others the ability to..." La Pucelle thinks on that. "So I could use Sapphire abilites? Would I be a magical girl over a magical girl?", she wonders about this.. S. V. Strimla glances out over the town. "Well, I've got brunch shift tomarrow, so I've got to head out and get some sleep. I'll see the two of you later, okay?" She then looks back at Sapphire. "Er... three, sorry." With that said she jumps off into the now night. | |
