| Summary: Strimla, Myst, and Sonya fight together against what appear to be mysterious pony ghosts...    |
High above the city, a lone figure glides, still searching for a noble warriors soul to escort to Valhalla. Black wings hold the valkyrie aloft and she circles like a great raven before a flash of silver below catches her eyes. Were those, wings she saw down there, shining metal wings? Curiosity drives Myst to investigate, and so she folds her wings and dives toward the building. She allows herself to get quite close to the rooftop before her wings snap open and she back wings hard. "Hail!" She calls, her armor glistening as she briefly blocks out the sun. S. V. Strimla, for her part, doesn't seem to notice the approaching Valkyrie at all until she's suddenly in shadow. "What the-" she says as she turns just now to look. "Urg... uhhh... Hello there!" she calls back as she watches Myst land. She's seen this other woman before, she swears, but she can't quite place where. The redhead without wings looks slightly intimidated by the larger woman, but she also doesn't look like she's about to turn and run, either. "Uh, nice day for a flight, eh?" she asks awkwardly as she looks at the irridescent black wings. Myst gently drops onto the roof and stands for a moment with her great dark wings mantled. The light dances off the outer most feather blades and when she is greeted she pulls off her helm and shakes out her fiery hair. Blue eyes bright as she smiles and taps her fist to her breast plate "Hail and greetings. It is a fine day for a flight but so far a lousy day for finding any good battles where the worthy might be. Did you see another winged person here? From above I could have sworn I saw wings." S. V. Strimla blinks, looking at the woman's hair. And eyes. It's like they could almost be related, with Strimla being the younger sister... But of course instead Strimla has no clue who this woman is. She shakes her head. "I didn't 'see' her, specifically, because it was me." She laughs a bit awkwardly at the lame joke, then clears her throat as if realizing suddenly how lame it actually was. "Um, but... yeah. I can summon steel wings, but they don't last that long. I just... wanted to come up here." She looks up Myst for another second before finally introducing herself properly. "I'm the Steel Valkyrie Strimla... but you can just call me Strimla." Sonya's descent is decidedly less gentle. There's an Amazonian like warcry of "aaAAAAAH!!!" heralding the arrival of the red headed barbarian as the giant made of muscles and clad in steel falls from the sky a fair bit away from Myst. Her landing is loud and it causes dust to be kicked up in the air and the concrete of the building to crack considerably. Still, not enough to make the whole building collapse, and the warrior woman approaches the other two whilst taking her helmet off. Yes, yet another fiery red headed entering the scene, as her long hair flows wildly when she removes her horned helmet. "Greetings!" She says to the two before her eyes fall up on Myst with a nod. Rainbow Dash comes shooting down the street, going pretty dang fast! On her flanks are Five strange looking creatures...they looks like ghost ponies...and everything the touch or go near is suddenly iced over! One of them lunges down at the blue pegasus; the creature flies right through a parked car and it instantly freezes over completely, icesickles and all! "Whoa.." Dash yalps, having just missed suffering the same fate.... The valkyrie looks perplexed at the younger womans explanation and she is just about to speak when Sonja lands with a heavy thud on the rooftop. Myst spins to face the new comer, expecting some sort of threat only to find she knows this woman. The valkyrie shrugs her wings back and folds them against her back. With a nod she taps her fist to her breast plate "hail and greetings warrior." As Rainbow Dash streaks by the valkyrie once more turns to see what is moving with such speed then flairs those wings against as she dons her helm and reaches for Soul Singer, her ax. A flying horse is one thing, spirit horses are another, and Valkyries have an affinity with the dead. At the violent landing, Strimla yelps out and reaches behind her back, pulling out her greatsword, Gnistra, as if pulling it from a sheath. Of course, there is no way she could have actually hidden a blade that size behind her frame. She initially holds it up in a defensive stance... but it's clear very quickly that this new, more violent arrival(the arrival itself being more violent as opposed to the person... who may well also be more violent anyway) isn't actually a threat. Strimla relaxes her stance and sets the greatsword over her shoulder instead. "...uh... hi." She gives Myst a look with a raised eyebrow at her look of perplexity... But all attention is then brought on Rainbow Dash and her mad, er, dash from the wierd ghost ponies. "Okay, what the..." She glances at the other two on the rooftop, then starts making soem motions with her hands and mumbling... And soon those steel-feathered wings that Myst had seen before sprout once again from her back. "Well... Off to work, I suppose," she says before jumping off the rooftop. No time for introductions anymore! She tries cross paths with one of the ghost ponies, trying to bisect it with her blade as she does so before skidding to a halt on the ground below. The first reaction from the warrior woman is to return the greeting of she whom she knows. "Hail o' valkyrie. How do you fare?" Comes the husky voice of the muscled warrior woman who towers over even the tall Myst herself by a full head. But even being seven feet tall and full of muscle doesn't make Sonya invulnerable and she takes note of Strimla's sword quickly followed by the arrival of Rainbow Dash and her.. guests. Those don't look friendly. Her helmet is strapped on and twin blades are unleashed, Warmonger and Black Guard, and she looks towards the flying ghost ponies. "Looks like we have a fight on our hands, sister." She says to Myst before jumping off the roof herself and flying all the way down to descend upon a ghost with a double cleave of her Infernal and Heavenly swords. Rainbow Dash shoots up into the air aas Strimla and Sonya come DOWN, flasing blades striking at two of the Wendigo; which burst like a balloon when struck, but also release waves of intense cole when they do! Three Ghost ponies remain! The three remaining spilt up, one speeding it'a way towards myst, hoping to pass through her freeze her solid! The other two distracted from their attack on dash, move in to tray and avenge the others two by trying to freeze up Sonya and Strimla! Dash hits the brakes in the air, "Oh...man!" she grrs, now these things after after her friends! Can't have THAT! Myst watches as the other two red heads take to the air to do battle. She stands her ground there on the roof though, wings mantled, ax at the ready. She spies two of the ghost ponys dispatched and she tracks the other three, her bird like blue eyes locking onto one of the wrathes. She lets out a merry laugh and calls to it "come spirit and greet Soul Singer!" As the the ghost pony comes her way she dashes forward and swings her ax. S. V. Strimla yells out towards Sonya, "Oh, fine, fine! Just fighting off cold ghost things, that's all!" She changes her stance to a more defensive one as one of the cold ponies turns to face her. "Soooo, Dash, I'm guessing you actually know what these things are?" She certainly didn't hesitate to strike the thing down, this situation feeling more like something out of her homeworld than how things have been lately here... A welcome change of pace for the magical girl. Not liking the thing charging at her, she focuses on defense this time to avoid actually being frozen... Even if she were to cleave the thing in two like the last one, she doesn't know if the parts would still freeze ehr solid, afterall. So instead of making sure she gets a solid hit on it, she jumps to the side at the last second, ducking and rolling as she hits the ground before coming back up to her feet with a smirk. "Hmmrr?" Sonya look at Strimla with confusion on her face. "What?" She clearly doesn't get that she thinks Sonya was talking to her, having no idea of Strimla's identity as yet anoter valkyrie. No matter though, Sonya's focus for now is on the battle at hand. She cares little as to identity of these things, for barbarians don't ask whom they fight, just where they are. Seizing up an incoming ghost towards her, the Barbarian raises her Celestial and Infernal blades up in the air and SMASHES them with great force onto the ground. "SEISMIC SLAM!!" The strike is such that a great wave of energy flies outwards into the incoming ghost to flatten it against the opposing building. The Wendigo charges at Myst, screenibg like a banshee-wind as it does! But, seems these beasties have a problem with magical weapons! And they're not accustomed to being affected by things that are physical in nature, either! It explodes like a freezing balllon as Myst strikes, sending a cold wave in every direction! Strimla rakes her foe as it flies past, her sword slicing into the spirits underside....it screams, it's esssence fluxing before it also explodes in a fearful burst of ice and snow! Sonya's strike sends her flying foe..uh..flying! It's blasted into a nearbu building and passes through the stone fascade, leaving a frozen scar on the buildings surface! Rainbow dash comes rocketing in, but hit's the brakes again, "Huh...sorry about you girls getting caught up in this...but looks like I ran into the right crowd...." As the ghostly pony explodes into a burst of icy cold, the valkyrie back beats her wings to blow the chill of the spectral essence away from her. She laughs again then leaps up and takes to wing, doing a wing over and plummeting toward earth where the others have landed. She pulls up then folds her wings and makes one of those absurdly heroic landings. " fear not little horse, we are none the worse for wear. Just a little exercise." She looks around and replaces her ax at her hip. S. V. Strimla doesn't know Myst is a Valkyrie! With her opponent seemingly removed from existence, she shivers slightly at the cold, finally. "That was... okay, cold. It was really cold. But yeah, it was nothing I can't handle, Dash." Not quite convinced the threat is gone, she keeps Gnistra ready as she looks around. It's nice to have a simple threat to deal with, for once. She smirks slightly and nods at Myst at the comment of being just a little exercise. "But... I gotta ask, what were those things?" "Indeed, naught but a little exercise!" Sonya's booming laughter joins that of Myst and she puts her blades back in their scabbard once the ghosts are dealt with. Quick to fight and just as quick to enter celebration, the Barbarian walks between Strimla and Myst and puts her muscled arms around both their shoulders in a congratulatory manner, pulling them both for a one handed hug. "Well done, sisters! Well done." Rainbow Dash says, "They're Wendigo...something from back home...for some reason they've been showing up here! They're..they want to freeze the whole world!" Even as Sonya puts her weapons away, the chiil returns! The final Wendigo simply got knocked through the building! Like an avenging spirit, it shoots up from below the ground at up at Sonya with a shriek! Dash yalps, "LOOK OUT!"" Though Myst's ax had gone away she was never with out a weapon very close at hand...er wing. As the others spoke, the valkyrie felt the new rush of cold. She smiles and lets loose a laugh and her wings snap open. As the fierce spirit erupts from the ground the valkyrie drops to one knee and spins. Her wings splaying just wide enough that the razor like blade feathers slice neatly into the wendigo. Similarly to Myst, Sonya is all too ready to fight even when in the midst of celebration. When the rush of ice wind comes again the barbarian whirls around along with the others to see the incoming foe. Her blades may be sheated but she's far from weaponless as she whips an arm out and a mystical chain is expelled from her forearm to strike at the heart of the ghost. S. V. Strimla yelps out, "Yrrk!" as she's suddenly pulled into the hug. "Sisters? Okay, we kinda vaguely resemble each other, but-" She gets that chill to her bones again just a split second before Rainbow Dash shouts out her warning. As soon as she gets out of Sonya's grasp, she dives for the side again, eager to not leave the incorporial threat one massive target instead of three smaller ones. Glad she didn't put away Gnistra just yet, she raises the sword up again in a defensive stance... but it seems, that she didn't need to react like that just yet at all, however, as it looks like Myst and Sonya might have things handled entirely already. "Oh, uh... Well, that's done... That was all of them right?" As the Wendigo comes up below the fighters, it's struck by Sonya and Myst! It howls and again explodes into a freezing wave~! Boom! dash flips back in the air as she's hit by the freezing blast...but she's too far away to get really frozen, it is enough to ice up her wings and send her crashing down! Though nearby, a shadow lurks, watching; burning green eyes hiss from the darkness. "So Rainbow Dash gas many allies here as well...and yet another of the cursed six have arrived! this will not do at all...I will have to gather more energy! More hate! more malice! And when I do...I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE! When the apparition is attacked by Sonja as well and bursts into the cloud of cold the valkyrie rises and shakes her wings back and settles them like a cloak against her back. She smiles and salutes "well done one and all."Looking back though, Myst finds Sonja frosted with ice and she frowns. "I think this warrior needs a stiff mead and some warming. I will take her with me me now and tend her. It was an honor fighting with you all" Myst simply moves over to Sonja and hoists her onto her shoulder like a sack of potatoes and simply strides off. S. V. Strimla rushes over to Dash. "Hey, you okay there, Dashie?" She looks up again as Myst pulls away the barbarian, then shrugs slightly. What an odd pair. Perhaps they actually were sisters? Rainbow Dash shakes the ice out of her mane and wings..."yeah...I'm okay, thanks for helping me out there.." She shivers. "Didn't mean to drag you girls into it, though...hope Sonya's okay," she gets to her feet. "But she's as tough as they come, right? S. V. Strimla shrugs. "I've never met those two before. I'm guessing Sonya's the one without the wings, then?" She glances off to the south as she ponders. Those two just then were at least comrades in arms if not outright sisters... But Strimla has let another comrade... or at least a presumed comrade, be for over a day since she had even just then gained her powers. Sure, she left her with Miyu, but...
