Short Description: A young woman in a dark blue hooded cape with a much darker blue long sleeved leotard like bodysuit. She has blue eyes, short blue hair, and what looks like a red gem on her forehead.
She can take on demonic features and abilities when angry, but is also capable of taking on a white cloaked form when she's 'pure' or very happy. Both are generally forms to be avoided, should to be their target.
Most of Raven's powers are to do with her soul self, or a form of astral projection. Her soul self is basically making a soul double of herself that she can manipulate into any form and appearance she likes. It's mostly seen in the form of a large raven, but is also used in a form that looks like a general energy that is black in color. It's appearance can further change based on her emotions, but she can also use it to change her own appearance as well. The soul self has been shown to be able to lift a few hundreds of tons as well as being able to grasp objects, shield them, and become sharp blades. As well as those abilities she can use it for telekinesis, telepathy, shadow manipulation, teleporting, possession, and levitation.
She has a very strong mental based abilities, as she is able to 'possess' people with her soul self. She's never used this in the typical idea of possession, however. This is generally used in empathetic means. She can understand people's feelings, try to calm them or terrify them, know when someone's been brainwashed, track their soul self if they've gone missing, heal others by absorbing their pain, and heal herself with mediation.
She's also been shown to be able to see the future when hit with enough raw emotion, being able to stop time with enough emotion, and use some magic spells with a good amount of training. On top of all those things, she owns various magical spells and items that she protects in the darkness of her room.
Background
Raven was born to a woman who had taken part in a ritual involving the demon known as Trigon. While her mother had attempted to commit suicide before Raven's birth, a group of inter dimensional monks took her in and relocated her to their land known as Azarath. There Raven was raised to keep her emotions under strict control in order to keep her powers in check. Her teacher taught her of her birth and her father, as well as many techniques she uses.
After having several nightmares and prophetic visions of her father's return, Raven left to go to Earth. There she met some other teenagers, helped them with some issues, and eventually stayed with them as they became the group known as the Titans. She has had many adventures with them since, until she eventually appeared alone in the Titans' Tower when it had shifted to Metropolis. There she had a few more adventures with some new friends, but once again shifted with the tower when it appeared in Neo Tokyo. This time, however, she was at least accompanied by her current team mate Red Robin, and was soon reunited with Starfire. Since then some old friends have appeared and new ones have been made again... not that Raven's even good at the friends thing.
