Background
Twilight lead a typical unicorn pony's life up until she took the entrance test for magical school. She passed the test SO well that Princess Celestia made Twilight her protege. Eventually Twilight was sent to prepare a town called Ponyville for a special event that included a visit from the Princess herself. The princess was captured and Twilight was left to gather a team to help save her and take on her kidnapper, Nightmare Moon.
Twilight and the others, who became the elements of harmony, rescued the princess and reformed Nightmare Moon back into princess Luna. In time Twilight performed many trials of friendship, finally leading to being asked to complete a spell that was left unfinished by the magical genius of their world, Starswirl the Bearded. She accidentally swapped her friend's destinies, but fixed them back again with the power of friendship. After this Princess Celestia made Twilight the princess of Frienship, causing her to become an alicorn. In her new form and position Twilight went on to continue solving other's friendship problems.
