Another day in paradise... is not something many people say about Twisted. In fact, it's not something many people say and mean it, just as a general rule. Liyara, however, is feeling pretty good about herself right now. The half-dragon is walking down the Twisted Street with a particular pep in her stride, and her brilliant green eyes are an especially emerald hue today. And she's... it seems like she's singing! Will wonders never cease?

"...A match in the gas tank? Mmm, that's quite a trick~" Anyone looking closely will find that she is in fact using a corded earbud attached to... some old mp3 player circa 2000. It says 'Creative' on the side.

A dragon woman without a care in the world. Perhaps maybe, just this once, nothing will rain on her parade. Not that she expects otherwise, of course. The last time she felt relaxed here, a truck fell from the sky on top of her head. In fairness, she never could get the hang of Thursdays.

SilverSight would certainly consider this place a paradise compared to his homeworld. Though the location isn't that much different than Neo Tokyo either. Still strange and bizarre and full of different people and places. If only he could get back to his house though.. Maybe one day someone will manage to get a portal opened up to Equestria at least. Hopefully the same one. If not, then he can spend time terrifying a new set of Ministry Mares. In the meantime, the pony will just have to keep sipping from a slushie cup and walking the streets. He seems to be listening to some music as well for that matter, though it's just playing from his Pipbuck. No cords for him.

Two creatures from war-torn lands, now fairly at ease, both enjoy their music as they proceed unknowingly towards one another. Liyara is known to be *particularly* unobservant, and she nearly walks into Silver Sight as she stretches her arms above her head and closes her eyes.

"Unstoppable, legendary animal... Mmmmmrowr..." She makes a face as she sings, playfully half-roaring half-flirting along with the song, and only opens her eyes just in time to realize she's about to step on a pony. She stops dead in her tracks, staring at him blankly for a good second, caught doing something embarrassing.

There's a beat.

"Hello! I didn't see you there!" ... She never does.

SilverSight bets there was a corner involved. It's always tough to see what's going on around corners when one is enjoying music! The pony nickers and backs up a few steps when he suddenly nearly hits someone, "Oh, hello again. It's quite alright. Happens to me a lot when I'm reading. How are you today?"

"I can only imagine," Liyara begins as a radiant smile finds its way onto her face, "I also get easily distracted when I'm --" She blinks, trailing off, and looking at Silver Sight. "Reading?" Processing. Processing. "Ah, not now, you mean at other times." ... Yes, Liyara. Does he look like he's reading now? This is what passes for genius here, folks.

The dragon laughs it off and looks Silver Sight over for a moment. "...It feels like months since I saw you last." Actually, not even a month. But then she did say time passes differently in her... tree. Right? "I've been well. Yourself?"

SilverSight contemplates the reaction somewhat. The partial draconian seems somewhat mentally distracted. Not that he thinks any less of her for it. He smiles and nods, turning off the music on his Pipbuck for now, "I'm quite well. Had a run-in the other day with some otherworld beasties, but we got rid of most of them. Not sure what Rocket did with the last one though.."

That grabs Liyara's attention pretty quickly. "Otherworld, you say? Hmm. I've noticed many alternate realities dumping their monstrous detritus upon us without having the common decency to provide us with a warrior to slay them, as of late." She looks at Silver Sight's pipbuck, curious, but doesn't ask about it. "...I've been off training myself to make up for the resources I was cut off from when I was so unceremoniously deposited here." Oh...kay? "But that's boring to talk about. Tell me more about these beasties?"

Priorities.

SilverSight gives a small shrug to that, "I've found several people already here fully capable of partaking in combat, myself included." He seems quite interested in talking about the encounter though, "It occured in the park area. There were.." And he'll proceed to describe the encounter with several Skags (Borderlands type), about six or eight in number, with a very powerful corrosive type, several adults-looking ones, and four little whelps. A descriptor of events as he saw them including him shooting down three of them, Usus the hyena being nearly overwhelmed, Theodore the spider guy, Captain Rayne's archery, and Rocket's.. well.. Rocket apparently tamed? the big corrosive one and has it being healed somewhere to use as a mount or something.

Liyara takes in the details of the encounter with a small smile. These creatures sound familiar to her; abberants to be certain, given their jaw structure. She'd have to see one to be sure, but they sound an awful lot like a corrupted rakshasha hound. "Fascinating. And you say one was acidic?" She looks like someone who's taking notes, but has no pad or pen. It's obviously all going up in that noggin of hers.

"...I imagine Rocket was delighted." He certainly seems the type. She puts a hand to her chin, looking thoughtful. "I regret not being here to help, but..." She was definitely busy. Maybe even justifiably so. "...Anyway, I'm glad you're all alright."

SilverSight chuckles softly, "I imagine that he found it quite intertaining. I don't know where he has it though, but I imagine it's not happy with a knife stuck in it's head and having to regrow a leg." He turns this way and that slightly to show that his labcoat remains intact, "I'm quite well myself, and I'm glad that nobody was seriously injured. Urus got a few bites on him, but he should be okay too."

"Well, we don't always get what we want," Liyara observes in regard to the skag's unfortunate situation, "especially for very primitive and aggressive values of 'we'." She scrunches up her nose for a moment, and then furrows her brow. "...Unfortunately my training didn't include any new healing abilities. I can't exactly create the Staff of Mishakal out of whole cloth, so I hope he's healing nicely." ... Should she even know about Mishakal? Well, she seems to, one way or another. Liyara never claimed to be limited to knowledge of her own sphere. Not once.

The dragon woman inspects Silver Sight's labcoat as prompted, and then smirks a bit. "You look ready to do some science." Someone looked up what that was for after their last encounter.

SilverSight doesn't know what a Mishakal is either! Though he's faaairly certain that a staff of any sort shouldn't be made of cloth. That would be odd. He smiles to the comment and nods, "It's something I tended to do quite a lot. I'm most specialized in the arcano-tech of my own world, but I only have a few items that rely on it. I've fairly well learned the basics of general human technology, though have also had experience at more advanced subjects as well." He frowns a little and hmms, "Still annoyed that I've lost my holodeck program back in Neo Tokyo."

"Holodeck..." Liyara's eyes glaze over for a moment, as if she was looking at something very far away, but they re-focus before too long. "Ah. From Miss Starfleet's world. I'm surprised you had something so advanced; Neo Tokyo must have been full of many wonders to chance upon such a thing." When did the *dragon* learn about Starfleet? Is there a level at which it becomes too much and starts to become worrisome?

SilverSight tilts his head curiously, "erm.. yes, actually. I had dealings with Starfleet, though it wasn't one of their ships I worked with. I believe the species was called..." He looks at his Pipbuck screen and it flickers through several options and scrooooooolls, "Caitian. One of my friends came up with the idea, and somehow the means, to acquire one of their derelicts to refit and repurpose into a restoration vessel. He and his chosen crew, with the help of Neo Tokyo's government and resources, would then be able to travel to different worlds and provide whatever aid or support they might need, particularly those that have come under heavy damages such as my own."

"Caitian..." Liyara's eyes glass over at the mention of the word, but when they come back into focus, she doesn't look suddenly more knowledgeable as she did the last time. "...I can't say I know of them." She shrugs, as if this is not particularly surprising to her. Well, she researched Starfleet, but they didn't come up, so that's the way the cracker crumbles.

"It sounds like a noble endeavor. Many a spelljammer in my time was driven by such altruism." ... Spelljammer?

SilverSight is watching her this time and takes notice of the way her pupils dilate out and back in when she's thinking, "You seem to have quite an interesting means of thinking, Liyara. Do you just have a powerful memory or are you magically accessing an external database of information to sift through?"

Called out, Liyara just offers a beaming smile rather than looking embarrassed. "Well, I do have perfect recall," she begins, tapping her temple, "magic brain and all. However, when I'm in a hurry I'll sometimes just visually memorize something I see and actually *read* it later. So I suppose..." She chooses her words specifically with intent for Silver Sight. "...You could say I haven't actually processed everything stored in my databanks."

Alright, easy there Liyara, he's a smart pony, not an android. You can use normal people words.

SilverSight ahas and nods, "I'm slightly similar, in a way actually. I'm sure you're aware that we ponies most often result in what we call a 'special talent'. Something we're just naturally good at. Despite my interest in scientific persuits, my talent is actually in speedreading and then remembering that information." He turns again and this time lifts his labcoat to show off the marking of an open book on his flank, "It's not completely perfect, and I couldn't tell you exact page number and paragraph, but I could probably re-write any book I've read with at least.. 85% accuracy. More so if I take my time reading and fully absorbing the information."

That actually causes Liyara to arch an eyebrow. "When you said you were an avid reader, I suppose you were understating for the sake of brevity, then." She purses her lips, thinking to herself. Well, it's definitely handy to have someone else with a similar talent. Now if only he could read magical script... "...How are your linguistic reading skills? Runes, glyphs, moon-scratch?"

SilverSight does need to think about that one a little more, "Hmm.. Well I did learn a fair bit of Caitian when I was working on the ship. It was easier than waiting for everything to be translated. And it's likely a different symbology but unicorn spellbooks are partially writen in arcane script that not just everypony can understand. The more complex the spell, the more advanced the script. Learning to Teleport wasn't easy, especially under the stress at the time." He shudders at the memories of that time. NOT a fun week. Ahem, "But yes, I can learn."

"Well, then!" Liyara starts in loudly, looking pleased. "I think I can reproduce a number of interesting works for you, if you like to learn." Well how lovely is that? She masters her training, has her scrollwork and item creation down, and now she has a reading partner. "...This is handily the best Thursday so far." ... Is that a high or a low bar?

SilverSight smiles brightly and swishes pony tail. His glasses magically adjust themselves on his nose and he nods, "I would love that! I haven't had any real work with magic in some time and it would be quite nice to expand my knowledge of the arcane arts once again."

"Delightful!" Liyara chimes in sincerely, and looks at Silver Sight's glasses for a moment before laughing. "Besides teleportation and telekineses, what other arcane pursuits have you indulged in?" She starts walking Silver towards the Usual. This seems like the kind of thing that's going to be a long talk over drinks.

Why does that seem so familiar?

SilverSight goes with Liyara into the Usual while regailing her with tales of his two primary schools of magic, Perception and Manipulation. Ideas and concepts such as Shared Sense and Magic Mirror. Cloudwalk and Remake...
