Getting Around In DCAM

The DCAM grid comprises of various locations from the DC Universe adapted to feel as much like a coherent world as possible. To make things easier we have implemented a global shortcut which can be typed at anytime to fast travel around dubbed the North American Transit System or NATS. This is the same system that opens when visiting train stations in each of the major cities for those who prefer more immersion. That said, not every city or location is accessible using the transit system. Exploration is always encouraged.

Gotham City

Art by Ted Blackman and John Calmette for Batman the Animated Series

The first city new players will visit in their travels. While not the greatest tourist destination Gotham is full of winding streets, crowded buildings, and is known for it's seedy underbelly. While you're here consider visiting Gotham's world renown Giella Botanical Gardens, the Gotham Convention Center, the Museum of Natural History, or see the sights at the Newton Fairgounds. For more discriminating tastes, various clubs like the Russian Tea Room, the Red Lotus, and the Iceberg Lounge are happy to accommodate. Of course there's no better way to really connect with the 'real' face of Gotham in places like 8-Ball Willie's, the Stacked Deck, or Noonan's Bar. This list barely scratches the surface of all there is to do while in Gotham City which offers excellent rehabilitation centers like Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Penitentiary. There is always something to do in Gotham.

Gotham's Tier 1 characters are Batman and The Joker.

Slaughter Swamp

Just outside Gotham is the expanse known as Slaughter Swamp, home of the Legion of Doom - a very influential hive of scum and villainy. If your villainous persona wants to rub elbows with the criminal elite, you might want to consider this your first destination.

Bludhaven

A few miles outside Gotham is the small city of Bludhaven. While nowhere near the size and scope of Gotham, Bluhdaven has a charm of it's own and boasts the beautiful St. Germana Church as well as the respected Grant's Gym.

Metropolis

The sister city to Gotham, Metropolis is known as the city of tomorrow! Gleaming shining metal glows on the skyline as citizens roam about safely. The city is always on the cutting edge boasting new developments from S.T.A.R. labs and new technologies from LexCorp. Even it's Special Crimes Unit is one of a kind with officers using the latest in anti-metahuman equipment. Not that they don't have a certain man in blue to help them when push comes to shove. Metropolis is home to the Daily Planet, LexcCorp, and the United Nations Complex. Tourists may want to visit exciting locations like the Collyer Jazz Club, Little Bohemia, the Metropolis Zoo, or beautiful Centennial Park. For those who'd rather go it alone maybe you'll find more excitement at the Silk Glove Club, the Night Owl Bar, or maybe just get in a fight at Warriors. After all, even Metropolis has it's dark side.

Metropolis's Tier 1 characters are Superman and Lex Luthor.
