Finally, Adam can get out and about without the cane. He's still limping a bit, and his ribs aren't quite healed, but his leg is more or less fine. But he's still going to be careful with it for a while. No sense in rushing things, and then having to have surgery to correct it.

So, Adam's taking the opportunity to get a little shopping done. Shiro's odd jobs aren't paying super well, but there's a little bit left. He's already done the shopping, it seems, and so he's carrying a small grocery bag -- just minor things, it looks like.

He pauses near the intersection of the Twisted Street and Park, to sit down on a bench and rest. He's been walking around for a while, and he doesn't want to push himself yet. Besides, his ribs ache a little.

He's not too terribly memorable as far as his looks go, really -- bronze-skinned guy, sandy brown hair, polo shirt, slacks, sneakers. Though there are a handful of things that might be notable about him -- the burnmark on the left side of his neck, the scar across his face that it makes, the patch over his left eye, and the tight black sleeve he's wearing on his left arm UNDER his shirt. These might all be ways to pick him out of a crowd.

In the meantime, the street is basically the same as usual, denizens walking around, checking the stores and windows, moving in and out of the Usual, even moving in the direction to the beach and Lake. There is even a collection of plastic blocks assembled into a dinosaur lurking in front of one of the windows, it almost looks like a display of some sort, being still, staring into the toy store, only it's tail swiveling behind it.

Adam takes a moment to look around, to notice the people, the stores, the area... and the small block dino. This last thing gets a look of confusion. Adam tilts his head a little, with a blink. It's bigger than just a regular Lego toy would be. Slowly Adam stands, heading over to the block dinosaur, intending to observe it a bit. Maybe it's one of those 'encourage kids to stare in and beg their parents for toys' kinds of displays? So yeah... he's just kinda staring at the dinosaur made out of blocks, not quite sure what to make of it.

The oversized thing is looking at some lego style toys for just a bit longer, before it seems to snap back to reality, blinking a few times and streetching, moving with surprising fluidity for something made of what looks like massive blocks, letting out a cute yawn as well. He spots someone staring at him and waves.

Adam notices this -- of course he does, he's staring right at the blocky dinosaur -- and starts a bit. He looks around, for whoever might be controlling it. Though, spotting no one who looks like they would be directly responsible, he hesitantly waves to the Lego dino instead. "Uh... hello," he offers hesitantly. Maybe it's controlled remotely? Cameras or something? Like a drone, but on the ground?

There is no obvious control or sign of motors in the toy, which tilts its head, the eyes look like... stickers, but they blink a few times as it wags faster, "Hi!, Im'n Alden." the toy ventures, slowly moving closer to the human.

Again Adam looks around, and still finds no sign of a controller. He doesn't seem to know quite what to do. But manners dictate that he has to greet the toy dinosaur! "Hello, Alden," he offers. "I'm Adam." Though he still seems confused. "Are you -- I mean..." He trails off, not wanting to seem rude. Having remained inside for recovery purposes, he isn't terribly familiar with the sort of weirdness that goes on here. "Are you... a toy?" he asks instead of whatever else he was going to say.

Alden nods and takes a few steps closer, offerin one arm and 'hand' to shake, "Nice to meet you!" he adds, his tail wagging once again moving a bitfaster. "I'm a ToyAgumon!" he says soft, "I mean... I am a Digimon, I'm not from around here."

Well, Adam is polite enough to accept the handshake, though he's careful, because he doesn't know how well the ToyAgumon is put together. But it does make a little more sense. The welcome center's brochures mentioned that there were plenty of non-human denizens here. So he relaxes a little. "You're, ah... not just a toy, then? I apologize if that's offensive." He just has the overall air of someone who's not sure what he's dealing with.

Alden does not seem offended, he just shakes his head, "No, I'm not a toy." he clarifies, shaking that arm vigorously enough that the limbs falls of by the time Adam lets go, and simply reaches to pick it up. "It's not offensive, don't worry." he offers, he does sound quite cheerful and friendly.

Adam's a bit concerned when limbs start falling off of Alden. "Oh, here..." he offers, and moves to assist in helping the ToyAgumon get himself back together. "Everything all right now?" he inquires.

The toy does not seem affected by th elost arm, simply grabbing it, placing it back into place nad carefully testing it again, "Sorry, that happens sometimes." he chuckles loudly.

"It's good that everything goes back together so easily," Adam replies as he stands up again. There's a bit of a wince at the protesting of his sides to the movement, but he doesn't comment on it. "I don't think I've ever met a... what was that? Digital-mon?" he asks. Close, but not quite. He's literally never heard the word before, though, so it's probably not too strange that he got it wrong the first time.

Alden tilts his head a bit as he notices the discomfort, "You are hurt!" he exclaims, carefully nodding at the comment, "Yeah it's one advantage I have." he says, "I am pretty durable." he says. He wags that much faster and helps Adam stand properly, "Seems there aren't many of my kind around, so not very surprised!"

Adam shakes his head waving a bit dismissively at the mention of being hurt. "It's fine. I was injured coming here. I'm recovering well, it's just a tricky sort of injury to deal with." Oh, but he's helping Adam stand up too! "Thank you," Adam offers. As for there not being many around? "I admit, I haven't seen many," he confesses. "Though I haven't been here long either. And most of the time I've been here has been recovering from injures, so I haven't been out a lot."

The Digimon nods a few times, "This place is weird... it is different than home but also similar." he muses, "Still getting used to the city, but seems nice otherwise." he adds, trying to sound cheerful, "Mayber i'll run into another digimon sooner or later."

"I hope so," Adam agrees. "I can't imagine how difficult it would be, to be in this place alone, everything being so unfamiliar." Pause. "Assuming it's as unfamiliar for you as it is for me." Thankfully he's not completely alone here. Speaking of which! He shifts the bag of groceries. "Not to pop your arm off and run, but I should get these back to the apartment." There's some cold things in there that won't be cold for too long. "If I do see any more of your people, I'll let them know you're here as well," he promises.
