Urus was only hours out from his talk with Alden when he had business to attend to. he knew the police force was... lacking for lack of a better term, not for lack of trying but of manpower, so it was with him that when he recognized the white-haired man wanted for embezzlement, he took matters into his own hands. with the human only bruised and having his wrists held behind him, he was escorted in by the anthropomorphic hyena who is untouched. "hello?" he asks out.

As per usual, the Police station is a bustle of activity. It's a clearly controlled chaos: Everyone seems to know where they're going, officers don't dally around in the hallways, the phones are being answered steadily, no one is really panicking over anything. But activity it is. There's just non-stop motion back there. In the lobby, however, things are significantly more calm. There's no line: Doris is in fact dealing with phone calls rather than people in person. Once her current call is over(something about telling the person that a first degree burn isn't that bad. Just rub some aloe vera on it), the old lady looks up at the hyena-man and the regular looking man and says, "Hello. What can I do for ya, honey?" in her usual disinterested tone.

Urus chuckles slightly at the burn advice, honestly that's a decent way to go about it, he's had to do that a bit himself. the xenomorphs were hell. the disinterest doesn't bother him he's good with the calm and unfeeling missions. "wanted man right here, looking to help turn him in." he says calmly, "who's free that can take him in?"

Doris straightens her glasses and looks over onto a computer screen. She types something, looks for a moment, types some more, then finally gets on a radio. Not one of the big ones used to communicate across the district, no, this is an internal to the building one. "I've got a guy here wanting to turn in a criminal. I'm not seeing anyone not on a specific task already, is someone available to book this guy?"

It takes a few moments, but then a tired sounding voice says, "I'll be right out." Urus should easily recognize the voice as that of Rayne.

Doris looks right up at Urus again and says, "She'll be right out to help you, dearie."

Urus chuckles. this should be good, probably get chewed out while he's at it. "thank you." he says "Officer this man assaulted mOWWW!" the man says as the hyena takes his hand off for half a second to smack the guy upside the head before keeping him down. "don't try and get me in trouble for your shit. if you do I might not have the courtesy to keep my claws off..."

Rayne steps out from the back, looking both thoroughly exhausted and annoyed. "Okay, what's going on now?" she asks as she rubs one of her temples. She pauses at the sight. "Oh. What rock did you find him under, Urus? I mean, usually we say there's a reward for /information/, but this counts, I suppose..." She gives the man a look of 'really?' before saying, "You know damn well there was a warrant out for your arrest. If you wanted to be treated gently, you should have turned yourself in."

"Usual gym of all places. judging by things he's been sleeping in the locker room." he says. "I saw him, remembered the warrant from last time I was here and figured I could lend a hand." he shrugs handing the man off with a shove. "I'm surprised I'm not being chewed out for going 'above the law.'" Urus admits

Rayne is quick to actually cuff the guy. "Yeah, well. You weren't wrong. And he doesn't look unduly beaten. If you'd come in with a non-violent offender and he needed stitches, we might have a bit more of a stern talking-to." She looks back to the man again and says, "And you, Sanders. The Usual Gym? Really? Gutsy. If I had time for my training I'd have found you there myself."

Urus nods "well that is better than expected, honestly my better judgment told me to kill and dump him but... I'm glad I was wrong." he says. "I figured you folks were busy and I might as well serve him on a platter instead of having to send someone out because I can take care of things." the hyena states, sanders meanwhile states. "Anywhere that isn't the precinct or an active scene is safe, everyone knows the cops are stretched thin."

Rayne deadpans, "Yeah. Our history as friends or not, I'd have had to have you hunted down if you did that." She pauses, then looks at Sanders for a moment in silence. "You're an idiot," she says bluntly. "It took your employer a week to find out what you were doing, an /hour/ for the investigation, which Sam said was a waste of his talents. I'm going to assume your employer accidentally gave you warning you were under investigation before Sam was even there... Let's see, then you hide out in a place where all the jocks want to go to show off? When there's a wanted poster for you?" She laughs. "And it's not even a bounty high enough for Urus here to have spent on bullets to shoot you with." There's a sigh, and she suddenly looks more tired again.

Sanders looks down and keeps his head low. meanwhile Urus chuckles. "and I would be offended if you didn't send the best after me." he says with a smile. "Rayne keep the bounty, use the money to pay for someone's salary, better to not need me. Kotal was right when he said I was unpredictable..."

Another officer walks by behind the counter that Doris is now working on a sudoku puzzle at. Rayne looks over and says, "Oi. Harada. Can you take this guy to booking? Case file 3014." The officer blinks, then suddenly rushes over to take Sanders off her superiors officer's hands. Rayne sighs, then shakes her head as she looks back to Urus. "You sure? I was joking about it being so low as to not pay for ammo. I mean, it was for information, like I said. I can't imagine he was going to last long in there."

"hey, consider it a favor among friends. and you can pay me by getting some decent sleep. I mean... I can see that you have not been taking fantastic care of yourself." The hyena says. "then again maybe you can pay me in a different way." he says "what's the going rate on information these days?"

Rayne rolls her eyes as once again someone tells her to slow down at work. "I appreciate the concern, but I know what I'm doing." She totally is in over her head. At least he changes the subject. She tilts her head slightly before asking, then says, "We're not an information broker, but... what are you looking to know?"

Urus nods. "so If I'm honest I have not seen a real doctor in..." he looks up as if tallying the time. "like 10 years. is there anyone I can trust to do some work. someone who knows how to keep their mouth shut if things are what I think?"

Rayne's frown turns more into a grimace. "I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that question. Best doctor in town is Johann, of course... he's still around, even if Ren isn't. But I've not really seen him that much, so I don't know how... 'discrete' he is."

Urus nods. "well, best I have to go off of." he says. "honestly I have not thought about it much before but after our talk in the usual, I've been starting to legitimately worry that I might actually be contagious."

Rayne looks around, then sighs and motions behind her. "Urus, this isn't a good place for this conversation. Let's go to my office." She doesn't even wait for a response before starting to lead the way.

"You're right, I'm gonna see if I can't track down that doctor, for all I know I could be perfectly fine and I'm worrying about nothing." Urus says. "hope that I was able to help, even minorly." he states. "I'll see you around, don't be a stranger."
